Glad I found this channel! You the man! And super helpful review! I spent all my money on the sigma 24-70 2.8 and a Sonya7iii, so pulling the trigger on something cheap like the Meike 35mm 1.4 for funzies. Also kind of excited for the all manual, will be a good challenge since I’ve already got the 24-70 which can do the automatic necessities.
Correct me if im wrong bro, A6400 has no IBIS, the stabilization of A6400 is dependent on lens features. (Sony - Image Stabilization (IS); Tamron - Vibration Compensation (VC); Sigma - Optical Stabilization (OS)) ✌
Nice nice review Dan and thanks. Would you recommend this lens for small product photography food, clothing, lifestyle, plants e.t.c I'm looking for a 35mm f1.4 with good colors and affordable. Thanks, keep up with the great works 🙌🏽🙏🏻
Thank you! Yes, I totally recommend this lens. Especially if you are on a budget. But if you can save up some more, you might want to consider a 30mm lens that has auto focus. Say the Sigma 30mm. Very good lens and not super expensive either - th-cam.com/video/Rl5tvyWEnq8/w-d-xo.html
@@DanboxingPH i absolutely appreciate this, thanks for your response. I'll check your recommendations out and hope for the best. I'll update you on that as well. Thanks 🙏🏻
Just a tip about manual lenses. Some cameras has and color dot cloud in screen that you can see whats in focus. It´s called "mf peaking" check if your camera has this, things go SO much easier and satisfactory with manual lenses. No shot can go wrong with it.
Ui bro, buti nakita ko tong channel mo. Naka score ako ng almost brand new na a6000 20k lang with 3k shutter count. Balik loob kasi ako sa pag shoot, more on portrait and structure shoot. May time na ulit. Salamat sa review, wala pa sa budget bumili ng 20k lens
@@DanboxingPH is the handling more difficult than f1.7? I heard from some review because of the f1.4 depth of field, it’s quite hard to lock focus as it can easily slip to pretty bokeh 😁. I’m totally new to manual lens. Thought I can give this one a try on my a6000. The camera been sitting in my drawer since the beginning of covid!
Thank you, Sachin! I was using Sony A6400 in this video. Sigma VS Meike? Sigma for sure. :) but if on a budget, I could consider the Meike. Here’s my review comparing the two th-cam.com/video/zuhq0D1TfsI/w-d-xo.html

Meike confirmed it after watching the video. Correct pronunciation is “MAYKI”. 👌🏽
Newbie in photography, and on budget think gonna help me bigtime in choosing my new lense.
Feel free to drop your questions! Would love to be of help.
Great sample shots. The struggle to set the focus first on a selfie video with a manual lens is relatable 😅
Tell me about it

Sure thing! Let me know.
Which Meike lens would you recommend for cosplay photography? And general travel photos?
Go for Meike 35mm!
Hello! Would you know if it's compatible with Nikon D3500? 👀
Nope. This is for Sony E-Mount only.
Will it convert to 50mm if attached to a APS-C camera?
Yes.
Which one do you suggest, 7artisans 55 f1.4 or meike 35 f1.4 for portraits !!
For portraits, I usually go the higher focal length 😊
@@DanboxingPH thank you ❣️

Excuse me can I use the lens Meike 35 mm for my Sony a6300 thank you.
YES. Just make sure it’s e-mount compatible.
Hi is this compatible for EOS 700d?
Nope.
Hi im currently using this lense but my videos are shaky can you help thanks or what is the good settings
If you’re using a6400, no way you can have it stabilized while shooting unless you use a gimbal.
uy ganda nung AF to manual hack to lock focus. subbed and belled sayo! quality channel to!
Very useful since day 1 haha
Thank you, brother! 💯📦👌🏽
@@DanboxingPH looking forward to more from this channel bro.
can i use this lens to my GH4 panasonic?
Nope. It’s for E-Mount system.
salamat kuya! im sold!!!😂 don’t want to spend €600 for the fuji brand so this really helps ☺️
You won’t regret!
hi! in sony a6xxx series how do you tell it to auto iso with a manual lens? what mode do you go into?
Hello. In your ISO wheel, go to the top of the list, you’ll find Auto ISO. This works for both automatic and manual lenses.
Hi. Will it be alright with using a6500 as it has in-camera stabilization?
Yup!

Nope! This is only compatible with E-mount system.
Meike 35mm f1.7 vs f1.4? What are your thoughts? 😊
F1.4! More light and more bokeh :)

Salamat, Ariel! Praktis lang tayo ng praktis.
Wala ako link for this pero madami naman sa Lazada/Shopee.
My rings feel pretty “lose.”
In other words I can’t keep it set on a setting.
Oh no, that’s too bad :( you might want to ask for a replacement for that.
Recommended po ba for photography ng mga begginers like me po? or sobrang hirap po magfocus po?
Mahirap. Lalo na sa moving subject. But if hindi naman, kayang kaya naman pang simula.
very nice thanks

On a tripod you mean? Oo, sobrang mismo na nito! 🔥😊
I just unboxed it today.
Cheers!
美科 “Mayker” it means beautiful science.
Good stuff man. No AF is a dealbreaker for me though. Dang it, so tempting for $95 tho...
Hahaha yeah. Oh well. At least you have another option :) you can’t go wrong with the Sigma 30mm!
