SUGGESTION. If you don't have one already, get yourself a sturdy, rolling utility cart! It could help you transport things and move stuff around in the basement. Keep the stuff you need/use frequently nearby, and roll from tank to tank.
If you have room in your basement closet & if you’re open to suggestions, would you consider installing shelving in the closet & adding baskets to store the miscellaneous kind of things needed for the fishes & turtles? So that it can have a designated space for it & still be accessible & organized.
As someone who also bought and has aqua-neat lights they are mostly holding up so far. I have had one going for 4 years it only has like 6-8 LEDs burnt out. They are holding up so far.
Oh I LOVE my aquaneat light. Only complaint is it doesn't have a timer on it. But it's fantastic and my plants all love it. Also my fish all are super gorgeous with it

Hey Luke! i was thinking if the sponge filters attached to wall are any worse than normal sponge filter? i think they would look better im my tank thank normal sponge filters (the same flow rate)

I recommend walk backwards on stairs, better don't wear slippers your toe can feel the stairs and you can put the tank down when you think it will slip to renew your grip. and yes you still can see the stairs, your neck can rotate that far..
Hey Luke just got some oranda and fancy fantail I start to notice some black or dark sliver coloration under the belly and under the mouth the fish is white but is it normal to have some dark scales
I just bought a black lion head/ranchu. It’s about 2 inches at the most. Can you tell me the earliest that I can tell if it is a male or female. I live in the Cayman Islands and we only have one goldfish supplier here (a pet store). It would be great to be able to breed my own.
