      I am so sick of the undeserved underhanded slaps at Bernie Sanders who is clearly the smartest of all these clown out there. It is simply obvious to all thinking Americans that our system is broken and screwed up because of runaway classism and corruption based in the 0.01% and every year we do not acknowledge that it festers and becomes harder to change. At some point the US is going to be like China or Russia if we are not already.

      +A Glass of Orange Juice Funny. Not once have I ever heard Bernie or any of his supporters use the word "rebellion." What they have used is the word "revolution" Bernie is systemically opposed to everything trump stands for. Putting Trump in office won't cause a revolution. It won't even cause your delusional rebellion. It will simply put the far right-wing, radical religious in power who will then put supreme court justices that will bring the country backwards with harmful policies that could affect the country for the next century. But you didn't think about that now did you Bernie Bruh (is that better)?

      Totally agree with you...
      The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.....
      I cannot find the quote I wish to find, but, in looking I found some others....some by those who are old.....
      They all basically give the same message(s):
      If you vote for the 'necessary' evil, then you are to blame for perpetuating such a dysfunctional political system.....Time for change is NOW........
      Choosing of the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil.....
      So, some of us Bernie supporters who will now support Trump will do so for this reason: We realize change only comes through radical means. Therefore choosing the most ridiculous President will bring the necessary level of dissatisfaction that we hope will produce the affect necessary to bring about real change. To vote for the lesser evil is an apathetic and ignorant choice........fuck that!!!!
      BTW...here are some of those quotes:
      Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour
      Hell, I never vote for anybody, I always vote against. ~W.C. Fields
      All of us who are concerned for peace and triumph of reason and justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest good will exert upon events in the political field. ~Albert Einstein
      Under democracy one party always devotes its chief energies to trying to prove that the other party is unfit to rule - and both commonly succeed, and are right. ~H.L. Mencken

      BillClinton, more of an ass than asset😂

    • @cyninbend
      @cyninbend 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      WTF is "commit electioneering?" Repugs are dumber every day. Electioneering is an old term which means "The practice of working actively to secure votes for a candidate in an election." It's not a crime, idjit--even if Bill Clinton does it! I will never understand the venomous jealousy the right has for the Clintons. What you all say just shows the huge empty vacuum devoid of facts, education, information, research, and knowledge that exists in between your ears. Whenever a former President tries to secure votes without getting prosecuted for it ought to be a good thing!
      I don't know if you are aware of this and just trying to deny the truth, or if your vacuous mind has managed to avoid letting the factual world make any impression on you, but all the cases in the U.S. that dealt with election fraud, voter suppression, etc, have been cases of Republicans trying to cheat. No Dems have been prosecuted or convicted for any election crimes. Republicans in Arizona and elsewhere have pretended to register Democrats and in fact destroyed any registration other than as Republicans. They falsely registered people as Repubs. They have bought billboards telling people false information on dates, places, documents required to vote, etc. They have called people to tell them polling places were changed when they weren't. They have even offerred to drive voters to the polls but failed to appear. All this is illegal over and above the suppression created by closing polls on and near campuses, refusing to allow students to register where they go to college--and now banning them from absentee ballots as well! So to vote, students may have to fly or drive across the country to the home of parents instead of voting where they actually live, sleep, eat, and pay rent. Minority voters who are older are finding polls where they have voted for 50 or 60 years or more demanding birth certificates to vote. Which certificates are often unavailable because the people were born at home, or city clerks offices have burned down in the 70 or 80 years that have passed since the birth...and finally, birth certificates can cost up to $100 to order, a crazy expense for some elderly voters....all of these reasons exactly why Repubs enacted the requirements! If you cannot win votes on the merits of your arguments, then win by cheating--destroying ballots, blocking voting, lying,......even lying about black voters appearing in all white New England counties and voting then disappearing--spreading stories of fraud by Dems that NEVER EVER proved to be true.
      The Secretary of State in Ohio gauranteed a Republican victory in 2004, and then closed voting places and sent voting machines from precincts in urban and college areas with high turn-outs historically, and sent them where turn-out is much lower. This caused 8 hour and longer waits to vote in cities and near colleges in the rain--obviously hurting Democratic candidates. We saw it on the News.... old Ken Blackwell should have spent years in prison for denying people the right to vote. He was following what Jeb Bush had pulled in Florida in 2000, hiring a firm who said they were told to cleanse the voter rolls of names of felons and others who are not supposed to vote, "erring on the side of removing names of legal voters rather than leaving voters who should not be there." Women who were legal voters aged 29 were denied the vote because their first initial and last name matched a felon who was male and 60 years old! This happ;ened many times--always to remove Al Gore's voters and preserve G.W. Bush's voters.
      When they tried to count votes, a planeful of male staffers went from the Repub Speaker of the House' office in Washington invaded the Florida clerk's offices, stomping feet, pounding on walls and doors and chanting and yelling to scare elderly vote counters--who finally locked doors and left, too frightened to count ballots. Playing into the hands of the U.S. Supreme Court who stopped any count beyond a certain date in spite of the Florida Supreme Court's order to proceed with counting. A shameful mark on our nation's history, worthy of 1933 Germany! Of course the U.S. Supremes de-certified the opinion and warned lower courts never to use the opinion as stare decisis. And Black Box Voting filmed people locating ballots and Clerks' signatures on counts in dumpsters in alleys while boxes and boxes of ballots sat on shelves uncounted. This is why Putin offered to send election monitors to assist us getting a fair count.... And remember--there are no cases of Dems cheating to win...

      I disagree. I think he has too strong a stance against Islam, but I find Bill's program an authentic intelligent dialogue. Watching his show is the only open debate available. He has a bias and his guests do as well, but he always sticks up for the far right guests so that the dialogue can remain open. No other show does that; if there are others, let me know.

    • @Dez-E

      +Mark Balog
      I agree most of the time. I think that it can be intelligent and authentic, but sometimes it feels like he needs to devolve any conversation that requires depth and nuance into a joke. I find that most conversations need to flow through Maher's lens or they are dismissed entirely. That may be because of his format, but it makes for a show that has a lot of potential, but really only scratches the surface of very important issues.
      His stance on Islam is more than a little strong, but it is what it is.

If you or I or anyone other than someone with 'Clinton' for a last name did what she did with her email server, we would be spending the rest of our lives in prison. Leaks from Assange are coming very soon, if Bill continues to ignore the facts just because he's friends with the Clintons he loses his liberal credentials. They will be replaced with a golden pass to the Clintoncrat party.

      Jogoh Luther It is not about Bernie as has been stated many times. It is about a large voting block (fancy term is a 'movement') of a size that needs to a reckoned with. He wants to take it to the convention to show a sizeable presence. This gives the entire Democratic membership an opportunity to 'make a point' vote and then on the second ballot everybody votes for H.C. There is no need for them to campaign against each other. Waste of resources.
      Don't worry, Trump will self-destruct soon.

      So, it was her and her alone? No other politicians got involved? All these things were part of her nefarious plans to destroy the planet! She sounds like an evil witch only a child could conjure up in his silly imagination. She is no different than any other seasoned, successful politician in Washington. You can find legislation and policy that she was part of that helped humanitarian efforts, but it is way more fun to cherry pick information and make a career politician look like the devil. Trump is a true threat. He is like a chimpanzee with a gun. If you can't see that, you have not been paying attention. You also don't give a flying fuck about those poor brown people you claim mean ol' Hillary hurt. What do you think Trumps policies will be for immigration? His foreign policy? How do think those people will do under a Trump presidency? When world leaders are concerned that this buffoon might become leader of the free world, so should you.

Larry is funny, and I'm happy he came at Obama about GitMo, but the fact that the BLM movement claims to hate racism then turns around and constantly uses the word as a term of endearment. It doesn't affect me one way or another, but it is just so dumb and should be phased out, but with this line of thinking, clearly that's too much to ask.

Because they build this mess & now look down to the people they are leaving in their SHIT to clean it up all hey what's your problem kid(or whatever your name is=see I'm being Bill isn't it nice, NO) just pull your bootstraps up & turn into a slime ball & you can be successful just like me paying immigrants to mow your lawn that was another sick joke so he really wants immigrants because what otherwise he would have to pay someone a livable wage to take care of his property, clean his home etc. he wants the people who will work as slaves which is not good for immigrants.

      Remember me and my prediction next November. I predict HRC and Drumpf will be rendered unelectable at the conventions. This is not Bernie's first rodeo--he is a master politician with a stellar moral compass. He knows there is a lot of fluidity (what with election fraud and FBI scandals etc.) before the conventions, so he is waiting to see how the convention shakes out. We all should be waiting to see what the situation is AFTER the conventions. Bernie has been working across BOTH aisles (D and R--Bernie is an Independent) pursuing social and economic fairness for decades. He's been one of the most productive and progressive representatives of We the People EVER. He is so brilliant and effective, a casual observer would mistakenly underestimate his yuge power. Bernie is crazy--like a fox! In November, see if you don't look back and marvel how "lucky" Bernie and the Progressives were. ;)

    • @lilithstarchild2701

      She IS the presumptive nominee. So what? He stated the obvious facts that exist now. He hasn't conceded anything, and he hasn't gratuitously damaged the Dem Party (even though they savaged him). "Presumptive" means "assumed." Right now, if nothing changes, we all assume she'll be the Dem nominee. Between now and the end of the conventions, however, much could happen to change our minds and our presumptions. HRC quoted Maya Angelou: "When someone shows you who they are, believe them." Drumpf and HRC have shown us their true characters these past months--they're lying, cheating con-persons. Bernie showed HIS true colors, too--he is a principled effective politician loyal to his constituents. These reveals may change many voters' minds. As HRC said when running against Obama, RFK was assassinated and that changed THAT presumptive process. Looming scandals and prosecutions are hanging over HRC and Drumpf. Do you think Nixon would have gotten President if a Watergate-sized scandal surfaced when HE was the presumptive nominee? You think the USA would dump a president for a scandal, but Hillary or Drumpf wouldn't be dumped (and toxic) for a scandal exposed BEFORE the general election? So much can (and will) happen. Bernie's got this . . . he's on the side of our better Angels. He has been fighting for the 99% his whole life. He is fair and just and trustworthy. That's why I'm with him.

    • @nycpeopleareidiots
      @nycpeopleareidiots 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When a candidate publicly states his opposition is going to be the nominee, I'll chose to take a realist approach. You can remain optimistic all you want, but this, as you stated about Bernie, isn't my first "rodeo." I've seen this happen time and time again. If you're holding on for an indictment, or some magical force to come swooping down and switch the nomination to his direction, you're going to be disappointed. Maybe it's time to drop the idolization of Bernie, and face the music. While he's been a great source for the people's voices to be heard, he isn't a Senator Wellstone.

    • @lilithstarchild2701
      @lilithstarchild2701 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you live in NYC? Just askin. First, I don't believe you quoted Bernie accurately without me seeing a clip of him saying it--please provide. Second, in just this one brief reply to me, you misrepresented me (and talked down to me), so I hardly think you'd be a reliable source as to what anyone said on CNN. Third, 6 months ago your whole clan of "rational" supremacists were cackling derisively at those warning that Drumpf could be president. I find that the gestalt of right brain + left brain is far more effective than viewing everything with half a brain . . . but that's just lil ole gurly emotional intuitive fairy dust me. Wait until November and we'll see who's more prescient: me or the rational half of your brain..!.,

    I liked the self-correction on 'millions of kids', when in reality he's lying his ass off about any numbers. He's 16, how much of the world do you really think he's seen or been to? Not trying to discredit him, but his whole enthusiasm for wanting to change the world is largely based upon pure ignorance and social-economic unrealism. Climate change to some extent is one of the biggest problems, on the other hand any reasonable way of dealing with it also gets destroyed by hopelessly annoying characters shoved in our faces like they're some kind of prodigy. How the f can anyone take these things seriously when it has become an achieve for a 16 year old kid to be like an environmental activist / eco-terrorist? (and no, not literally 'terrorist', I mean eco-terrorist as in being unreasonable about any kind of meaningful discussions on the topic, instead of spreading their own stubborn biased and single-sided opinions).

      The kid just wants to be able to breathe the air when he's older. I'd like to be able to do that too, if you don't mind.
      And given that my parent's generation passed the burden to my generation on climate change, and my generation passed the burden to our kids and grand-kids, I find it quite hopeful to see a 16 year old being so passionate about working towards the changes that we've been too lazy, stupid or scared to implement.

    • @PHeMoX
      @PHeMoX 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Denard Springle Hopeful? Don't you see how he's become a complete parody of activism and more importantly a problem for a reasonable debate? I know three year olds who have less preprogrammed activism BS in them and will pick up trash without even asking or demanding attention by suing the government.
      The kid wants to be able to breathe air? Not really the thing I disagree on at all. I'm not pro-pollution by any means. But there's definitely a right way and a wrong way to go about the environment.

    • @DenardSpringle
      @DenardSpringle 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      PHeMoX
      'But there's definitely a right way and a wrong way to go about the environment.'
      Yup. And we've been going about it the wrong way for *decades* - using 'reasonable debate' - though more often than not, 'unreasonable debate'. Hence, why I'm hopeful that this next generation 'gets it'. And this kid seems to get it.
      Yes, he has his stump speech down pretty good, as do all politicians except for the circus peanut. Unfortunately, you have to repeat the truth just as often as those who would rather meet an untimely end to our civilization repeat the lies.
      As for suing the government - our government has been complicit in allowing the CO2 problem to fester for multiple generations. We're going on well over 50+ years we've known this was a problem and did *nothing* about it. Government funded and independent research study after research study after research study have all pointed to the same exact outcomes - for *generations*. So, yes, sue the government is something nobody's tried yet on this issue. I'll be interested to see how it plays out.
      The time for 'reasonable debate' on climate change is over. There is no debate. It's real, it's happening right now, and we're responsible for it. The time for action has already passed us by, frankly, and that kids generation is on tap for a potential extinction level event in their lifetimes if something doesn't change.
      So, once again, I repeat myself... I applaud his efforts. It's sure as hell more than you or I have ever done about the problem, no?

    Way to go Mr. Martinez, standing up for your fellow young adults! I remember when I was 16 and people thought I was an exception--I just happened to be the one 16 year-old they knew! Teenagers are truly young adults--adults that happen to be young. and they tend to be more mature and responsible because they haven't become jaded and cynical yet.

      Many people voted for Ralph Nader as a protest. As a result, we would up with George W. Bush instead of Al Gore.
      Anyone who thinks about voting for Bernie Sanders or about not voting should think about history.
      Bush was horrible. Perhaps one of the worst Presidents ever.
      Trump could be a lot worse.

    • @sarahmccoy1941
      @sarahmccoy1941 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand voting for someone you believe in and their policies. On the other hand, when the result of your vote is to allow someone like George W. Bush to wind up being president, it is not a good idea.
      The Gore-Bush race was so close. if one percent of those people who voted for Nader would have voted for Gore, we could have avoided eight years of Bush, including a second war against Iraq.
      Though I favor Bernie Sanders’ ideas, I have not supported him, because I know that the GOP hate machine would have ripped him apart in the general election. He would have been painted a communist because of his socialist views.

      Bernie delegate to the Texas state convention here. The problem with Woodruff is that she doesn't understand the political process. You'd have to actually speak to someone participating in that process to understand it.
      For example, I said several weeks before the Texas convention (and my fellow Bernie delegates agreed) that I wanted him to stay in the race through the national convention...not because I thought he could win the nomination, but because I knew I'd have more leverage to get Sanders delegates on committees, change TDP rules, and get progressive resolutions in place, and affect the platform committee. And I maintain that it helped. I don't think we would have accomplished quite as much without that leverage.
      And, I might add, Sanders said basically just that in some interviews this week: he's staying in to steer the platform at the national.
      So Woodruff is annoying, but it's because she's ignorant of the process, and arrogant about her ignorance. She should probably retake her high school civics classes.
