    my mother died at the age of 39, in 1976. my daughter was born on the day of mother's death, 33 years later. one time, when she was almost 3, looked at me (in front of her father) and asked, "Do you remember when you were the baby and I was the mama?" which surprised me, but she never said anything else like that. i do wonder, though.

      @James Palmer2How about dark matter or dark energy? We don't know much about them, we cannot detect them, but according to physicists, they exist. What if the soul is made something we cannot detect yet?

      Your soul will still be there with your body but it will no longer function when you die and it will go kaput. Near death and out of body experiences is just the brain going haywire and hallucinating when it is nearly dead as there is NOT enough oxygen getting to the brain when it is shutting down. However if the concept of an eternally inflating multiverse is correct then sooner or later an exact remake of your soul will be created from scratch somewhere else in some future universe with it's own separate big bang .When you see a dead person there soul is still in their body but their soul is no longer functioning. Eternal inflation says there are new big bangs happening all of the time at an ever increasing rate forever. Cosmic inflation is where our universe expanded so rapidly for a very brief moment of time at the big bang. Inflation only ended in our part of space (our bubble universe) while other regions of space are still inflating. With an infinite number of big bangs (universes being produced) repetitions of everything are inevitable. Your exact life you have lived so far and every other possible variation of your life is also being lived right now by other exact copies of you in other universes in the eternally inflating multiverse. An exact copy of you would have an exact copy of your brain, an exact copy of your soul and an exact copy of your consciousness. Sorry, it's lights out and game over when you die so you should make the most of your life as this life is your only chance. .

    My daughter remembers hers since she way 3 years old. She is now 6 years old and still says the same stories word from word. She remembers heaven and picking me as her mother, she also sees angels and taught me things I was confused about after dying, and God showing me things. She has changed my whole life. I am now a student at st. leo studying theology.

    Fascinating topic, excellent presentation. Would really like to believe the story of Ryan. However, the premise of this is that his parents are "ordinary folks" who simply related the statements of their five-year old son. With Occam's Razor in mind, ask yourself this:
    Which is more likely:
    1) Ryan tells a tale of life in Hollywood, and pleads his parents to go there. His mother goes to the public library and just by coincidence happens to lend a book in which Ryan purportedly recognizes himself from a past life as Hollywood actor Marty Martin , thereby 'proving' reincarnation.
    OR
    2) Ryan's mother had at some point read about Professor Tucker and his research into children's memories of previous lives and reincarnation. After showing Ryan the book about Hollywood, on the basis of his exclamation "Mommy, I found me" and pointing to the picture of Marty Martin, became convinced that her son was the reincarnation of Marty Martin. She then began researching about Marty Martin, and unwittingly got five-year old Ryan engaged in the story, after which she contacted Professor Tucker in order to reinforce her belief that Ryan was indeed very special (in all honesty, don't almost all mothers think this of their own child).
    As Dr. Tucker said, Ryan's story was featured on NBC Nightly News, which is quite an accomplishment for a 'simple' mom from Oklahoma.
    I do not in any way discount reincarnation as a phenomenon, my point is simply to take all possible explanations into account, including complex psychological interaction between small children and their parents.

      I love how you said "Occams razor in mind" and then had what you believe to be the more simple explanation be far more drawn out, complicated and doesn't even take into account that it was 50 statements from the boy that had been corroborated by many people other than his mother. Occams razor states the first is correct because it's far more simple.

    At age 38, for 3 days I was getting very ordinary-seeming memories of being a Lancaster bomber pilot based in England in the middle of WW2. I was totally in love with my fiancee and we planned to get married after the war. The last time we were together in a field, I was due to go on a mission over Germany that night. My plane got shot down and I got killed. Then the apparent very ordinary memories just faded out and even 31 years later, they have never returned.

    • @ChuckFreeburg
      @ChuckFreeburg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @James Palmer2 your body is like an antenna. It is tuned to the station of your soul. When your physical body dies it no longer picks up that frequency. You can turn a TV off but the same channels still exist for another channel to pick up. How that initial tuning happens I am not entirely sure, maybe the souls energy can migrate with the growing body for such.
      Also… some would argue there is no time. And the soul is in past present and future bodies at once. So one could say it doesn’t migrate since it’s already there. But that is harder to wrap my head around.. I guess if you imagine it… as if your current mind is playing multiple actors with different time period costumes maybe we can better see the potential of the soul in this dream world. Where like a piano with various scales these notes harmonize together by the musician.

    Everything that IANDS and DOPS have scientifically proven confirms each concept about life, death and rebirth (reincarnation as used interchangeably) I have learned in my 20 years of practicing Buddhism. In this amazing teaching of more than 2500 years one does learn that one has lived on other planets and as different species. At any rate, it wouldn’t make numerical sense that everyone has ever lived here will be reborn on the same planet Earth.

      It really is God. You are on to something. Not expecting you to take y word, but if you learn the messages Jesus taught, and seek Him, you actually have to take every seemingly bad thing that comes along and tell God you accept it and pray for the purpose to be revealed, how you are supposed to handle it, and for patience. A much larger truth, in time, will be revealed. Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door will be opened. Similarly, James van Praugh said that if you keep trying to force something, it's a subtle sign that you should not be in that direction. Subtle bc it is not the same as a healthy work ethic and persistence. best wishes!`

    I remember there's an interview with Dr. Tucker floating around where he hypothesizes that reincarnation occurs primarily within the same country and region because of emotional attachment to that area. I think the Japanese soldiers reincarnated in Indochina are a counterexample to that. It's dubitable that these men had stronger emotional attachment to their place of death than to their homes, and still they reincarnated geographically close to their place of death.
    The case the woman is asking about is somewhat confusing; does the girl refer to being her own mother? Or a previous marriage? Even if the mother is dead, she must have been alive when the girl was born. In that case, it throws up all sorts of questions about at what time the soul transmigrates. It also makes me wonder whether there are cases in which children remember veridical information from _living_ people.

    • @royzlatanestevez9843
      @royzlatanestevez9843 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @james palmer I'm not sure why you replied this to me, rather than making a top-level comment. Well, nice to see you have a comprehensive theory of your own there, but I frankly don't find it very convincing that it is "coincidence". I'm not sure I'm convinced either way, though. But to think that the "soul" somehow depends on "particles" is ridiculous. If "God" (if that is who it is) is omnipotent, he/she/it can just say "Let there be a soul that does not work via particles and which humans can never detect!", and that's what's going to be. Because omnipotence works that way. Physicists tend to dislike this kind of argument, because it leaves us with nothin to reason with, but I don't think such a debate can be dragged down to the level where physicists would like it to be, i.e. in the area of falsifiability. And I also don't think it's a great argument to dismiss accumulated data because our current model doesn't include a way to explain them, so they can't be. It smells a lot like the morning air of a scientific revolution: empirical data piling up that can't be explained with the current theory, causing established scientists to get cranky about it.
      I'm fine with just shoving reincarnation cases onto a pile of unexplained things that we can address later on.
      Even scientists don't really have a problem with the Simulation Hypothesis though, though its mechanics could be objected on much the same grounds. Somehow, an alien civilization with a supercomputer is more palatable to scientists than "God", though in what they (can) do, they are essentially the same thing: neither would need any feckin "particles" to do anything, "particles" would just be a part of the simulation.
      That said, you can see what's going on in the comments: lots of people who "know" either way, ranging from claims to remember past lives because some psychic told them about it, or Krishna or whatever, or who know (how in heaven do they know?) something about the exact mechanics of reincarnation ("life is meaningless", "family members trade places"), to people like you, who got their "rational" and "scientific" ideas out of a, I don't know, Popular Mechanics article or newspaper quip. I'm not like that at all, I don't know either way and I certainly don't know anything ABOUT reincarnation. I'm really on the fence about it, but I try to stay open-minded and curious about the world we live (and die) in.

    - The "control" at 34:20 is laughable. 100% of everyone is going to pick the "correct" (bottom) picture. The next pair of pictures too, while less obvious, is still obvious.
    - For every "case" how many non-"cases" are there? A kid says something, and the parent researches it to no avail. (This happens all the time, I imagine.)
    - There are some interesting coincidences here. Nevertheless,
    - My conclusion at the end was that "adults are just big kids." Never does it occur to us that perhaps our "research" itself is just another form of behavior. A "case" looks to me like the product of an imaginative child AND an imaginative adult. I could be wrong; but most psychologists are half-psychologists who observe others but fail to observe themselves.

      @Existentialist946 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Why would everyone pick the bottom picture rather than roughly 50%?
      Not sure what you mean by "parent researches it to no avail". I haven't watched the video, but it's not the parents that are doing the research, it's the researchers. If a kid says something, it either cannot be investigated at all, or it can. If it can it will be investigated and will be recorded as either a hit or a miss.
      An imaginative child and an imaginative adult can't enable a child to provide details about a previous life. Imagination cannot produce miracles.

    I only disagree with his resolve about past life regression or hypnosis in general- which is a common view,i if you watch a practitioner like Alba Weinman, ii seems to not only take people to a past life quickly and often, but it takes them to one that has a similar vibe as the one currently lived, as a way to help that person in his or her current incarnation. His expertise is more one dimensional and that is OK, i loved hearing these cases...

    My only question regarding reincarnation is, what if a global calamity/genocide happens? What if the Earth is destroyed? Do we just float around the cosmos and find another host in a distant star cluster?

    • @DDFreeman
      @DDFreeman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The cosmos or all that is consists of many universes, worlds, systems. When not incarnate on Earth, the Spirit-Soul is somewhere else in the cosmos. But individual reincarnations on Earth will end the day of Jesus' return, as then there will be the en masse resurrection back to earth life of the righteous, and then after the one thousand years the en masse resurrection back to earth life of the wicked, and then shortly later the destruction of all matter and elements in the cosmos via fire sent by God, and then the great white throne judgment and casting of the wicked into the lake of fire and the entering of the righteous into the heavenly etheric New Jerusalem. End of story.

      @@blitz4203 I am well studied in all of the religions and philosophies and self-styled gurus. I would encourage you to watch the "God in Ancient China" videos or especially the one that is 2 hours long and so contains both part 1 and part 2. They show that even Chinese characters prove The Bible, and also show where the Eastern philosophers fit into the timeline and why they came to arise and at the time that they did.
      And there are numerous additional proofs of The Bible and therefore the God of it. Another one is Anagrams, which Plato rightly so said reveal divinity and destiny, and indeed they do. Here is an Anagram that I discovered: FATHER YAHWEH'S AUTHORITY? ~ WORTHY YESHUA, HEART, FAITH. If you have good intelligence and understand odds, you will know that being able to rearrange the first set of 22 letters to the second set of 22 letters CANNOT BE just coincidence.
      Another proof of The Bible and God of it is the 70,000+ typed pages of The Edgar Cayce Readings, which were proven to have more than 90% accuracy rate. They confirm the main events, personages, precepts, prophecies, promises, warnings in The Bible, and even state that it "is ever the Guide to everyone".
      Another proof is that the God of The Bible is the only explanation for a number of unusual phenomenon, such as what is called intuition / the still small voice / the holy spirit. I have had this voice since I was born, and that is why I know that the God of The Bible exists, not the why that you gave ("we all pray our gods because we don't understand a lot of things in this magnificent universe"). Only God could be informing a person of what they otherwise do not know and can not know. One example, when I was only about 5 years old, I started to get into the car of an Aunt who would be driving it, and God said to me, "Don't say anything at all, and she will say, 'Oh, D isn't talking, she is being a good girl.' Well, I got into the car, and didn't say anything at all, and in about 10 minutes she said exactly those words. Another example, my sister challenged me as to what price she paid for a decorated cake. I had not the slightest idea, so in my mind I went to God about it, and he said $12. So I said to her, "Twelve dollars." She exclaimed, "How did you know!?" The list goes on and on. If I had journalled all events, I would have several books by now.
      I am not sure how you can respect Jesus Christ if you do not believe in his teachings nor his belief in the Holy Bible Old Testament and the God of it. But as to his so-called followers - they do not follow him. Christianity is the most popular religion on Earth at about 32% of population, and about 25% subscribe to Islam, and about 20% subscribe to Hinduism or Buddhism - or in other words, the vast majority of earth subscribe to a religion or a philosophy - but the Bible plainly teaches that it is the many on the road to eternal death, as well as that the world (meaning the majority of it) will hate the two true witnesses / prophets / testifiers that God will be raising up the last 3 1/2 years preceding the return of Jesus (see Revelation 11).
      Jesus Christ himself spoke of the phony so-called Christians, as recorded in Matthew 7, and warns there that he would be rejecting those who merely call him Lord but do not have him as the lord of their life. In another passage, he speaks of them talking about God with their mouth, but their heart being far from God (Matthew 15) (Isaiah 29).
      In addition, Jesus Christ was a (monotheist) Jew who said that salvation belongs to the (monotheist) Jews (John 4), and (monotheist) Paul spoke likewise (Romans 2, Romans 11, Ephesians 2). The fact is, so-called Christianity was invented by Pagan Rome and its false doctrines. God is one, not three. And the new covenant with High Priest Christ Jesus replaces the old covenant with its many priests, and only he is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2). Gentiles who embrace the commandments and teachings of Christ Jesus are grafted into the house of God and considered to be a Hebrew / Israelite / Jew (Romans 11) (Ephesians 2). Neither Jesus nor his followers invented a new religion. And Judaism - true Judaism - is not about religion nor philosophy, but spirituality - having a 7/24/365 living relationship with the Living God, seeking and serving his will, in desire thought word deed, with perfection as one's goal, overcoming Satan / Self / Sin, and which is how Jesus lived.
      Peace.

      There is no life after death. Near death and out of body experiences is just the brain going haywire and hallucinating when it is nearly dead as there is NOT enough oxygen getting to the brain when it is shutting down. Hours later if they are NOT revived their soul will no longer function and will go kaput. When you see a dead person (a corpse) their soul is still there with their dead body but it is no longer functioning. NDEs and OBEs is sort of just a last gasp before the soul burns out. However, if the concept of an eternally inflating multiverse is correct then sooner or later an exact remake of your soul would be created from scratch in some future universe somewhere else in the eternally inflating multiverse. Cosmic inflation is where our universe expanded so rapid for a very brief moment of time at the big bang. Inflation only ended in our part of space (our bubble universe) while other regions are still inflating. Once inflation starts, it never ends, producing an infinite number of bubble universes and each bubble universe would have their own big bang event. There are new universes being created all of the time at an ever increasing rate with new big bangs occurring forever. With an infinite number of big bangs repetitions of everything are inevitable. Your exact life you have lived so far and every other possible variation of your life is being lived right now by other exact copies of you living on exact copies of this Earth in other exact copies of our universe. An exact copy of you has an exact copy of your soul. Sorry, lights out and game over when you die. .........

    For someone thinking why such things are common in India and south east Asia is because of few factors. I am from India and I myself know many such cases in fact it’s not a shocking thing in here it’s very common among us. Now coming to the reason it might sound absurd and no one believes me but anyway the first is that our culture has always been stressing on reincarnation and to progress our spiritual life in next life if it’s not complete in this, Yes that’s a very common thing in culture of India and it’s south like Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Shinto, dao, etc. this is just one reason we have many such reasons but it will be too long to go in deep and another there is another question why people reincarnate close to where they die I have a answer for it but if someone is too interested in this plz contact me in Instagram we can talk properly there
