This is so touching to watch. My grandma passed away 13 years ago. She was also a very good cook. Christmas was always the best when she was still alive. She makes good embotido too and her other dishes are so good. She grew up in Bulacan. And what's weird is tht we call her "Mommy Lu" 😭 your mom reminds me of her. I miss her and her cooking.

I remember last year around May I was literally DYING fighting COVID 19, na diskubre ko ang mag nanay na ito sa TIKTOK at aliw na aliw ako kay mama lulu kahit hindi na ako halos maka hinga pinapanood ko pa din ang mga clips nya... when I got better hindi narin ako nakapagnood ng tiktok hindi kc talaga ako fan ng app na yun. Laking gulat ko kanina nung nakita ko yung recommended sakin at nasa thumbnail si mama lulu salamat at nakita ko ^_^

Aaa Filipino also said "Bawang" For garlic. But in Indonesia, we said two types of bawang. Bawang merah for red onion and bawang putih for garlic. Anyways, Mama Lulu, you really made my day. I just lost my mother half a year ago. And looking you really made my day like I was watching my Mama daily. She also has short tempered whenever I made fun of her. But that's also cute side of her. It's a bit weird if we translate it word by word. For example, Indonesian called "Rumah Sakit" for hospital. But If I translate it word by word that would become ILL HOUSE 😂
Vyn Lie you know whats neat is that puti in tagalog also means white same as yours but without the letter h. Same as for sakit, sakit in tagalog also means illness

Noong maliit pa po ako ang embutido binabalot sa sinsal ng baboy bago balutin ng foil..Ganyan din po ang auntie ko pag nagluluto tantsahan lang ang sukat ng rekado pero the best ang lasa tas noong araw kc di pa po uso ang catering kaya lagi cyang natatawag pag may handaan para magluto ng ibat ibang putahe. Embutido is my favorite Christmas dish which I would always request for them to make back then. I alone can eat 3 rolls in one sitting. 😅 Nowadays, I try to copy and tweak based on my taste buds but somehow my grandparents' version remains the best.

My mom used to cook this a lot when she still could. One of her legs got amputated because of diabetes and can no longer cook. I am a cook myself but I still miss her cooking. It has a different taste if a mother cooks.
