I got the Taito one solid green. I think it's really good that they have the arcade versions built-in and for £50 great screen and sound but cramped controls, maybe they will bring one out with a little ball stick 🙏
@@richard7645it’s likely that neither company wanted to give them license for a cartridge, so these probably are a result of that. A creative solution and a pretty good value all things considered.
I don't usually bother with the internal speakers on handhelds, headphones always sound miles better and the little speakers are a battery drain anyway. I was waiting for an "Evercade Lite" with a smaller form factor so I probably will pick up one of these, however, right now, I'm sitting on the fence waiting to see if they announce any more Super Pockets. I don't know how likely it is that they can get the license but I'm holding out hope that they'll announce a Sega Arcade Super Pocket. If I had to pick from one of the current two, it'd be Capcom (despite already having most of those games on the PS2 in the Capcom Classic Collections) but I might have gone for Taito if only they'd have included Chase HQ.
I haven't had time to play with mine I did check and I did have the correct games on both units. I agree lynx games look better emulated and very well on these little handhelds. I believe you were talking about "Farmer Says" for the pull the string thingy. I'm a little to old for that but my youngest brother had one. Thanks for your video 😊
Glad you're happy with the device. I'm surprised they aren't just having you flash the firmware to fix the Taito one. I'm still on the fence for picking one up.
I find 99.9% of special editions are a waste of money and ridiculous. Great idea for a handheld but needed a slightly taller screen for those vertical shooters.
The dpad sinks down in the middle when you swipe your thumb across it (hard to avoid for certain games), which will register false directional inputs. The problem with the back buttons is more so the orientation rather than placement. It makes sense to push the buttons down towards the heel of your palms. How do you pull them towards your face without the unit falling out of your hands? Poor design in my opinion.
I was bored and decided to see which games were different between the 18 Capcom games on the Evercade Exp and the 12 games on the Hyper Mega Tech Capcom edition. Well here they are. Exp vs hyper mega tech * 1942 (Arcade version) both * 1943 (Arcade version) both * 1944 : The Loop Master (Arcade version) both * Bionic Commando™ (Arcade version) both * Captain Commando™ (Arcade version) both * Final Fight™ (Arcade version) both * Forgotten Worlds™ (Arcade version) both * Ghouls ‘n Ghosts™ (Arcade version) both * MERCS (Arcade version) both * Street Fighter II’: Hyper Fighting (Arcade version) both * Strider (Arcade version) * Mega Man (8-bit) both * Commando™ (Arcade version) exp only * Legendary Wings™ (Arcade version) exp only * Mega Man 2 (8-bit) exp only * Mega Man X (16-bit) exp only * Breath of Fire (16-bit) exp only * Vulgus™ (Arcade version) exp only

The idea of having an evercade was to own physical cartiages for that nostalgia feel to it, not for games to have it bulit in 😏

mine came in the mail today, i really like it so far (apart from the placing of the shoulder buttons)
So it's not just my big old caveman fingers?
@@Retr0Rob no, it's a design decision 😂
The fact that it can play Evercade games is already a win! Awesome device! 😊👍
The biggest miss is not being about to play cathedral. Its broken. But Alwa's Awakening
Works fine on this
Wild that Taito games weren’t on the system. Growl looks awesome, never played it.

More specifically, it's a See N' Say with "Farmer Says" being the first and probably still most famous in the series.
@@SteveBrandon Thanks for the clarification.
Nice video. Yea growl is on the taito collection on PS2. I don't remember if it was volume 1 or 2 tho

I'm 99.9 % sure you are right 👍
I got the capcom one. I like it but wish the screen was just a bit bigger.
strange there is no instructions on how to navigate menu in the quick start, seems like a big miss
Yeah that packaging was something else!
