Remembrance Day in Cleveleys

Join Cleveleys Town Centre Group and Care for Cleveleys, for Remembrance Day in Cleveleys. Saturday 12 November 2023 starting with a community service led by Rev Graham Young from St Andrews Church. Event attended by serving serviceman Anthony who brought along his own Jeep, with family entertainment and music in the afternoon.

What a wonderful turnout to honour our heroes past and present who made the positive aspects of our world possible.
Sadly the same negatives are in place that cause past and present conflict and the indoctrination that makes citizens obey flawed leaders and be willing to prosecute unjust wars. When I was young many decades ago I often heard the expression "The war to end all wars" ... Well in all those decades there have been conflicts and good people sacrificed.
On a brighter note
Bravo for Care for Cleveleys for arranging so much of interest to support this event.
Kevin is a born dramatist ... as is the soldier with the deployed bayonet!
Thank you VFC for including us in this tribute to the fallen and the bravery of those who currently serve.

A lovely event, service was very good,and the rememberance corner looked really good with the wreaths and poppies around the area, the 40's singer was fabulous, and the weather good to 😊😊
