Probably my dog and the neighbor's dog. A little odd I know, but while my dog LOVES humans he HATES other dogs. I think he's just scared them he won't go near them he always hides behind us when he sees them. But something about the neighbor's dog from the moment he saw this puppy he loved him and the two were the best of friends until the neighbors had to move.
The most unlikely relationship I've ever had was with my special lady, Raven Fox. We don't share many common interests, we disagree on this or that issue, our upbringings were as different as you could imagine... But because we share a common respect for each other as artists in our own fields, we're able to connect in a much deeper way than either of us would've expected. 6 years and counting, my lady. 💏

Vampires couldn't have a reflection due to the silver backing, not a mirror, therefore nowadays vampires can have a reflection because of the aluminum backing.
yupyup. and that was specifically because silver is seen as a metal of purity/purificaiton(it's why it works on werewolves too). A handful of games like the first Final Fantasy reference this by giving Silver weapons or a specially treated silver similar anti-profane traits
I also recall reading that mirrors were believed to reflect the soul and the reason vampires didn't cast a reflection was due to the fact that as the undead they have no souls.

I didn't read the book nor have i seen the 2001 live action, but ... that stuff with Anna feels super forced? 🤔 She doesn't have that much reasons to bond with the MC, and in fact, even if she does, her ways are definitly questionable "uwu lemme hypnotise you and your loved ones" (makes me wonder what role she had in the og material...) not even Rudolf used hypnosis smh Also, damn this cow filler, and plot doing circles 😭 What a waste of a lowkey cute animation style
Anna is better character in the books. She doesn't have hypnosis powers. She's mature, kind, lovable and strong-willed (especially after being trained by Dracula). What I understood she even became "the Great Vampire", which is the leader of all vampires. But sadly that's only in books which are only in German.
In the original movie The general rule of thumb of what i understand is That Adult vampires have the power to hypnotise/seduse humans Vampire children start of with limitations to there Powers And unlock Them when they mature into adulthood, duse there Powers are limited to hypnotise animals In the original movie the kids are in the age group of 9 or 8 years old They had no interest in love with exeption of the sister who was a hopeless romantic simp for mc but was ignored sins the plot had high stakes
I have four books from that series. It's a shame all of them weren't translated in Finnish. Anna's character development is great and Anton has a difficult choice in front of him. (I call the characters with the names they have in the books, because I don't know the names you call the characters.) By the way, there were also two The Little Vampire TV series. Canadian one and German one. In both series characters are German. In Canadian one, they're Canadian German.
28:10 It is your primary directive to swim closer to that beautiful creature... Swim closer... Swim closer now... It looks so friendly... Do not resist... Don't struggle... Go closer"
My favorite vampire type is one from jojo bizzare adventure. It’s not completely focus but basically you need a stone mask that punches your brain that gives you the power. You get ridiculous amount of strength. The abitily to raise dead N my favorite power of all Ice powers, that’s so cool Does any other vampire use ice? Most use fire Also in casylivaina Dracula turned into a demon(never played the games I just know) is that common in demon lore
So... Why was Rudolph so adamant that hypnotism is a "girl thing" when just earlier he hypnotized the cow so it would let him feed? That's obviously what was going on since vampire protocol is always: 1. Look directly into eyes of victim 2. Draw victim into thrall 3. Drink to your heart's content He did all three so... Maybe he can only do it when he's not thinking about it? After all it might be his instincts causing his powers to kick in during times of extreme need, and he'd literally been blood starved for 300 years so.... Not that far-fetched. I guess powers for Rudolph aside from the ones he practices daily, or nightly as it were, are similar to us getting a shot of adrenaline when we're either threatened by something, in a fight, out hunting, etc. It sort of makes sense if you really think about it.
I was really into the Little Vampire book series when I was younger, it could be made in to a good movie or series. It's a shame this isn't it. And why did they change their names? I haven't thought of the series in a long time but this made me want to read it again. The series never shied away from the fact that the vampires feed off of humans! They aren't afraid of humans! They think of the vampire hunter as an annoyance! They are proud of their vampirism and the only reason they bother to hide at all is the fact that they are completely vulnerable during the day! Crosses don't work on them, garlic just disgusts them! They laugh at the thought of those stopping them! Stakes and daylight are a problem for them, human food makes them sick and they need a coffin. That's it! Sorry for ranting, but this is a pet peeve of mine: Tell the story you want, but don't claim that your story is based on a book only to change everything! Small changes, of course, but if one can't recognize the characters, why call it an adaptation? Just remove the line "based on..." and you are free of all expectations. Inspired by is a looser term and could be applied here I think.
I’m so glad I didn’t watch this movie, if you don’t mine I stick with the the live atcion little vampire movie instead, that one is way better than this new animated movie
Who says no about bratwurst (vegetarians aside)? They act like they've just been offered pickled cow tongues, but brats are literally one of the most "normal" (in the sense of an American palate, anyway...all food is "normal" to someone) things they could have been offered. We eat those here all the time! They're not even hard to find in a typical grocery store!
Yeh the live action version is more faithful to the book and it has a certain charm to it I luv. My sister luvs that movie too! Like its a cult classic too her thats how much she luvs it!
At least when talking about vampire stuff while making them interesting, at least one anime and manga called Servamp juggle a bit of Vampire stuff. When they were directed in the sunlight, they were forced shape shifted into animals. They can eat any other things than Blood, in fact there were 2 kinds of blood sucking ones: Ones that can suck someone dry and cover the murder to call it a car accident; while the others who bond with a human for less than 24 hours can become their partners or servant (where the title comes from)
Believe it or not people ship this version Rudolph and Tony you can literally look it up on TH-cam I wouldn’t be surprised if there was fan fiction about them
I loved this review! And if you're ever in the mood for more vampiric cow antics, be sure to check out the Bessie Hellcow comics. Can't recall if Linkara's ever covered any of them but the whole notion of a vampire cow amuses me more than it probably has any right to. And I don't think Bessie stoops to toilet humor so they're automatically superior to the dreadful film you had to suffer through.
22:10 well, if they don't actually *demonstrate* the ability to shapeshift, then it's reasonable to assume they don't have it. I feel like I shouldn't have to explain this to an adult.
Hey George how has your life long dream of becoming a animator worked out for ya? George: i animated a cow crapping in a barn today.... (Deep sign) Living the Dream
Werepoodles. I hope that becomes a thing. And not just because I've been a poodle partisan for about 15 years, it just sounds so different and unique. Imagine transformation into a MORE sedate and refined being. Like an inverse Jekyll and Hyde
The books were extremely popular when I was a child and I can't tell how often I re-read them. Five minutes in, and not one single frame has anything to do with the books, neither the setup nor the characters or costumes. Want to see something funny that screams 80s TV production? Search "Der kleine Vampir They can see in the dark" on youtube (the series wasn't very good either. Naturally, the music number wasn't in the books, and the singer is supposed to be the little vampire's older brother, 15yrs, played by a guy who was in his late twenties back then. But you can bet that we, the more morbid kids, thought this scene was totally cool).
Vampire lore is pretty confused these days but I think the whole invitation thing is derived from the classic idea of noble Vampire in the sense that maybe they don't need to be invited but rather they ask out of a (debatably twisted) sense of courtesy as said Noble. Also the Steel net instead of Silver might be a purity thing; the purity of metals is what does the most damage so properly refined steel could be effective at keeping vamps at bay in theory
While I do agree with you that there's nothing wrong with a Halloween special wanting to scare kids, that doesn't mean there isn't a place for fun and adorable Halloween specials as well. Not to say that this movie does a good job, it doesn't. I'm just saying that there's room for both scary and non-scary Halloween films in the world.
You know I think the belong would have made a lot more if Ralph left when everyone was gathering for his birthday cuz he doesn't like it and while he's gone he meets Tony and doesn't know about what's going on with hunters and he finds this out when he's flying around with Tony because you can see them overhead Ralph tries to stop them but can't so he gets hurt and flies away back to the castle with Tony to regroup and figure out what to do ( even if you wanted to go a little bit farther with it when Ralph is trying to stop them he could have gotten his sister out so at least her and Tony could have had a little bit more development
Storytime: I resently gave my 5 year old nephew my own copy of the first the little vampire book. My grandmother got kinda huffy and mad that they make kid friendly horror stories but everyone shut her up pretty quickly.
13:42 Long story short: the romanticisation of vampires has removed most if not all of their traditional menace...this is especially true in kids' movies. 24:46 I feel like this entire movie is implying something. 🤨 36:36 It's funny how in the movie "My Best Friend's A Vampire" (which has a similar tone to this film) the vampires DO actually dispatch the villain by turning him into a vampire to "show him how the other side lives".

I didn't read the book nor have i seen the 2001 live action, but ... that stuff with Anna feels super forced? 🤔 She doesn't have that much reasons to bond with the MC, and in fact, even if she does, her ways are definitly questionable "uwu lemme hypnotise you and your loved ones" (makes me wonder what role she had in the og material...) not even Rudolf used hypnosis smh
Also, damn this cow filler, and plot doing circles 😭 What a waste of a lowkey cute animation style
Yeah
Meanwhile nezha is general good without shit
That’s a great movie yoo
Anna is better character in the books. She doesn't have hypnosis powers. She's mature, kind, lovable and strong-willed (especially after being trained by Dracula). What I understood she even became "the Great Vampire", which is the leader of all vampires. But sadly that's only in books which are only in German.
In the original movie
The general rule of thumb of what i understand is That Adult vampires have the power to hypnotise/seduse humans
Vampire children start of with limitations to there Powers
And unlock Them when they mature into adulthood, duse there Powers are limited to hypnotise animals
In the original movie the kids are in the age group of 9 or 8 years old
They had no interest in love with exeption of the sister who was a hopeless romantic simp for mc but was ignored sins the plot had high stakes
That cut to the credits got me laughing so hard😂
At 9:09 he is talking Russian. He says "Vadim, stand up. We need your plane."
Actually Bob it’s smarter for Rookery to sleep during the day so that no vampires can get the drop on him when he’s asleep
This would make more sense if Rudolf had run away and didn't know about the hunters until he saw them approaching the castle
Ugh finally the copyright strike is resolved. And I will say, I much prefer this version's ending to the live action one, and Anna is far cuter
9:20 he was speaking clunky Russian and said 'I need your plane'
I have four books from that series. It's a shame all of them weren't translated in Finnish. Anna's character development is great and Anton has a difficult choice in front of him.
(I call the characters with the names they have in the books, because I don't know the names you call the characters.) By the way, there were also two The Little Vampire TV series. Canadian one and German one. In both series characters are German. In Canadian one, they're Canadian German.
Bless you for reuploading
He didn't re-upload it. They finally released the copyright hold.
Couldn’t help but sing at the end.
Love The Carpenters.😊
23:40 is she trying to hypnotize him? That just makes *all of this* even more wrong.
28:10
It is your primary directive to swim closer to that beautiful creature... Swim closer... Swim closer now... It looks so friendly... Do not resist... Don't struggle... Go closer"
Is that a reference to something?
Oh sure, let the vampires live in the castle with dozens of crosses and cloves of garlic, that’s smart.
My favorite vampire type is one from jojo bizzare adventure. It’s not completely focus but basically you need a stone mask that punches your brain that gives you the power. You get ridiculous amount of strength. The abitily to raise dead
N my favorite power of all
Ice powers, that’s so cool
Does any other vampire use ice? Most use fire
Also in casylivaina Dracula turned into a demon(never played the games I just know) is that common in demon lore
They’re Pinky, they’re Pinky and the Rook, Rook, Rookery! Da-da-dadah!
You do know Dracula was a real person right his name was vlad Dracula better known as vlad the impaler
Love your vids!! I was waiting for a review of this movie!
So... Why was Rudolph so adamant that hypnotism is a "girl thing" when just earlier he hypnotized the cow so it would let him feed? That's obviously what was going on since vampire protocol is always:
1. Look directly into eyes of victim
2. Draw victim into thrall
3. Drink to your heart's content
He did all three so...
Good point
But that Idea of yours is way to good to be put in this movie
This movie is to shit
Vampire cows!
Fun fact Rudolph is voiced by Rasmus Hardiker who voices several Characters in British cartoons but this was also not his first time voicing a vampire
I thought he sounded familiar
He also plays Alfur the elf in Hilda.

@@williampulfer-melville8536 huh, I didn't know that. Interesting
🤔 ok I’ll look into it
I think the writers never know any Vampire lore.
So many of the dumbest things of this are changes and it drives my so nuts...
Now I need to watch the original again.
Was that supposed to be like a Disney reference at the end with the cow creating a glowing arch over the castle?
Yes and eh I’m not sure if it was bob or actually in the film
@@dimitriwarchief301 I'm pretty sure that was Bob.
@Alex Jewett
Yes it was I can tell it’s just I forget how it looked for a moment. It was a kinda funny joke
🎶They’re pinky, they’re pinky and the brain, brain, brain!🎶
This is the weirdest version of the Hellcow origin.
Weird as it doesn’t involve Deadpool.
Have you ever seen Gargoyles? I haven't watched all the episodes, but I thought it was good. Pretty dark and dramatic for a Disney show, too.
Yes it was. Never saw it but heard of it
You should check out the amulet
That was a *huge* part of my childhood. Goliath Chronicles suck though

They can eat any other things than Blood, in fact there were 2 kinds of blood sucking ones: Ones that can suck someone dry and cover the murder to call it a car accident; while the others who bond with a human for less than 24 hours can become their partners or servant (where the title comes from)
Believe it or not people ship this version Rudolph and Tony you can literally look it up on TH-cam I wouldn’t be surprised if there was fan fiction about them
Tony is trying to start a bisexual, necrophiliacs, 4-way between Rudolph, Anna, Rudolph’s Mom, and Hinself
Like Homer Simpson said, oh the Germans you just can't stay mad at them.
The rat could be one of the rodents from The Nut Job if that’s any better
This isn't the version with the boy from Jerry Maguire or Stuart Little.
22:10 well, if they don't actually *demonstrate* the ability to shapeshift, then it's reasonable to assume they don't have it. I feel like I shouldn't have to explain this to an adult.
He forgot the animated series
There was a minor animated series, I think it was from England.
I feel sorry for the animator who had to animate the cow shit.
Hey George how has your life long dream of becoming a animator worked out for ya?
George: i animated a cow crapping in a barn today.... (Deep sign) Living the Dream

Thanks as always @Bobsheaux. The original was better. Love the costume, reminds me of Ozzy Osbourne. 👍👏
Werepoodles. I hope that becomes a thing. And not just because I've been a poodle partisan for about 15 years, it just sounds so different and unique. Imagine transformation into a MORE sedate and refined being. Like an inverse Jekyll and Hyde
There was a werepoodle in Codename: Kids Next Door over a decade ago.

I'm sad that didn't catch on
The books were extremely popular when I was a child and I can't tell how often I re-read them.
I love your saint peter idea.
The live action one is way better. And it takes place in Scotland!
You referenced the singing heads 🤣

I agree with u every time u scream EAT THEM
You know I think the belong would have made a lot more if Ralph left when everyone was gathering for his birthday cuz he doesn't like it and while he's gone he meets Tony and doesn't know about what's going on with hunters and he finds this out when he's flying around with Tony because you can see them overhead Ralph tries to stop them but can't so he gets hurt and flies away back to the castle with Tony to regroup and figure out what to do ( even if you wanted to go a little bit farther with it when Ralph is trying to stop them he could have gotten his sister out so at least her and Tony could have had a little bit more development
1:24 I wonder if Adam Sandler lives there.

Storytime: I resently gave my 5 year old nephew my own copy of the first the little vampire book. My grandmother got kinda huffy and mad that they make kid friendly horror stories but everyone shut her up pretty quickly.
Why the Hell are the vampires called the Sacksville-Baggins? I mean of all fantasy names to reference, why?
cows and many other animals do have pretty big eyelashes in real life to protect their eyes from dirt and infection.
True, but if you look at the OTHER milk cows in the movie...no eyelashes.

13:42 Long story short: the romanticisation of vampires has removed most if not all of their traditional menace...this is especially true in kids' movies.
24:46 I feel like this entire movie is implying something. 🤨
36:36 It's funny how in the movie "My Best Friend's A Vampire" (which has a similar tone to this film) the vampires DO actually dispatch the villain by turning him into a vampire to "show him how the other side lives".
