where you will play now? i want that album "Dodge and Burn" was perfect but jack white on drums is not that jack who plays on guitar. so i wish you best in career. pl give jack white his guitar and throw his drum sticks.
You just don't understand what he's playing. It's the feel he's going for. JDilla made that "behind the click" "unquantized" feel famous on the MPC to the point it changed the way drummers played. Questlove and Chris Dave are able to do the same thing to. I rather hear this than someone play super stiff with no feeling.
Teddy Grant I first heard this done by ?uestlove back in the very early 2000's on D'angelo's Voodoo album. I think he refers to it as "rubber banding". Its a very interesting approach but tough to wrap your head around.
not only a great drummer but a humble dude too nice enough to show the audience his heads and cymbals, I mean goddamn:)
KILLIN the Dilla vibe. Love this cat.
Classic just behind the 1. Love it. This takes natural talent, you can't teach this.
This Kat is beyond Great!!!!!
LEGEND
great feel
I like listening to him play, but watching him makes me nervous!

the bLackwards man!
Haha I like how he doesn't even use his floor tom. Just kinda something to rest on.
By 2030 his kit will be horizontal

Teddy Grant So he's going for a slightly out of time feel? Just ends up sounding a bit sloppy imo

+David Lerbakken Show me a middle school kid who can do this. There is a big difference between intention, and inexperience.
awful!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really? I think he has a nice groove and his work on Blunderbuss as seen on Jools Holland was excellent.
