I work in the movie business in NYC. Nobody on the crew will talk about what happens during filming because they know they'll lose their jobs. We sign a ridiculous amount of paperwork claiming we won't disclose anything about plots, actors, or anything else for that matter. If you get caught doing any of these things, they'll black ball you, and that could disqualify you from future projects. It's just not worth doing it.

    • @corywilliams1698
      @corywilliams1698 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@Mourning Star not me personally, but I know people who have. I know a couple of guys who worked on house of cards. Everyone on that show knew about Spacey, they just didn't talk about it. He chased around young male interns and the higher ups let it happen apparently. They all knew. As far as drugs go, that's not done in front of people any more. Back in the 80's and early 90's it was wide open. They'd have drugs on the craft service table (provided by production) from what I've heard. That was before my time though. Can't really get into specifics for obvious reasons.... I actually love my job and don't want to post anything that would jeopardize that. 😉

@@rodjohnson7210 I'm a conservative guy in a very far left business. You'd be surprised how many of us there are. Not everyone affiliated with this business is an evil nut job. If I saw any behavior that was hurting anyone I'd report it. The problem here, is that major actors in the past were allowed to get away with what ever they wanted to because of who they were and the amount of power they wielded. The metoo movement put an end to that. Now there's a zero tolerance policy for cast and crew alike. I don't work on film crews anymore so I'm not usually around the higher ups or the actors anymore. My job now, requires me to set things up before the film crew gets there. I have nothing to do with the actual filming that takes place. I normally have no idea what what the show is even about that I'm working on. I'm a rigger. I go to the locations where they want to film and rig up the lights where they want them. I have no input in anything other than that. The state of my soul is just fine. I'm a God fearing man and I wouldn't work on anything that would compromise that, and I definitely wouldn't have anything to do with a production company that turned a blind eye to the abuse of other people. I'd report it to our Union immediately and they would shut it down.

Alcohol is the gateway drug because it's the easiest to acquire, and once you're getting drunk you are more likely to be exposed to and partake of weed among other things. How many family homes had liquor cabinets and kept beer and wine in the fridge? A lot more than had weed lying around.

  • @yankeetherebel

What I find annoying on most tv series is the constant perspective flipping.
You guys talk about Ozark, so let's continue with that example. When Marty is all on board like let's do it, it'll be fine, we can still have a happy life, Wendy is like I don't even know you anymore, look what this is doing to us, it's a hopeless situation. Then the next season, due to some unfortunate but entirely inevitable event, the characters totally switch perspectives and Marty becomes the hopeless one and Wendy becomes the we got this one. And this flipping continues throughout the series... ensuring us that nothing will ever really be accomplished because the main characters will never be on the same page.
Unfortunately, this perspective flipping seems to be the standard on most tv series. The Walking Dead is definitely guilty of it, but then I watched Fear The Walking Dead and realized how much worse it could get.

Well that is because it's a completely made up "Idea" by the Government who was Jailing people for a harmless plant. In 1937 they saw that only Blacks and Mexicans smoked pot, and need a way to get them off the streets. When you watch footage of someone pulled over, the first ":Excuse" the cops use to violate you is "I Smell Cannabis". This same Trick is being used and no one is even aware of how or why it ever started. You have a Plant that Naturally grows, and has never killed anyone, even in the highest doses. It literally replaces thousands of harmful and dangerous Pharmaceuticals. They have lied about his plant in such a thorough way over time, that these guys talking so matter of factly about the "Gateway" lie. it's set in their mind. This lie was started as a result of hundreds of independent labs testing Cannabis and all finding the same exact thing. It's not Dangerous, Can be beneficial to millions, and was used as a scapegoat that is still destroying lives needlessly. Notice how it is made legal in states and not Federally? The "I smell an odor of Cannabis" is the in that they are not willing to lose. That one violation based on a lie, is like gold to these creeps . Most things that you would swear of , are lies. They just have been so gradually and steadily put into our consciousness that there is no defense for it.

  • @underthetrees4780

The cannabis as a gateway drug thing breaks down to two things.
    1. Once you smoke weed for the first time you realize you've been lied to and start to wonder what other drugs your parents and teachers lied about.
    2. Having it illegal puts you in contact with drug dealers, who usually or eventually deal in drugs other than and offer them to you.
When I had that first thought I made a rule, keep it natural; cannabis, mushrooms, mescaline, ayahuasca, etc.

THC addicts are extremely biased. It also elevates sex. So they sexually demoralized the masses and then strategically legalized weed. What a coincidence lol! I have no idea why, but one day a documentary about the Brady Bunch TV series showed up in my TH-cam recommendations and out of boredom I watched part of it and that shit got wilder and wilder the longer it went. At some point the older actors started talking about how that little girl, the youngest or second youngest of the "family" would always "give everyone a little extra" by flashing her ass at the crew when walking up the stairs.
That was a milk shooting out the nose spit take moment for me. I had to skip back and listen to it again to make sure I heard that right. And they said that chuckling and smiling as if it were the cutest and most natural thing.
And the way they put it... "gave us a little extra".....
I thought to myself: "How is that on TH-cam and never became one of those scandals? Am I the only one who thinks that is weird?"
Apparently a whole film crew shooting a TV show for years got "flashed" by a little girl on a regular basis and nobody had a problem with that.

Meth psychosis is worse than heroin addiction. But to be fair alcohol is more of the gateway drug. Most people start drinking than smoking, then try other drugs. And then the doctor and pharmacy over prescribed then took it away which started the heroin and fetty market.

Weed isn't a gateway drug, my drug dealer is.
If I had only ever bought weed in a store, like I do whiskey, then I probably wouldn't have been so easily persuaded to try coke or ecstasy when I was young. But when it's all illegal, to a youth that levels the playing field and it really shouldn't, weed is not even comparable to booze.

17:00 my problem with legalization of weed is that it’s never just legalization. It’s the government growing it’s own power by getting into the weed business and making more laws and regulations on weed that will just push more people back to the black market and probably lead to more fines and jail time than we have now, because you’re cutting in on the government’s income.
