Saxsyndrum Live From Breakglass

Saxsyndrum is an electronic duo from Montreal consisting of Dave Switchenko (tenor saxophone) and Nick Schofield (drums). When these guys came out to Breakglass to record their Live From Breakglass single, I have to admit I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. I'd known Nick for some time as an affable radio host and great drummer, but wasn't sure exactly where his electronic project had gotten too, and how the pads and layers and effected saxophone would all blend together. A key moment in understanding just how big these guys sound was when my studio partner Dave Smith walked out of the control room to look through the window into the live room, and came back shaking his head in disbelief, "That's all just two guys?" he said. Yup, just two guys, sending out a whole ocean of electronic music. Enjoy!
