This makes me want to go out and buy a Vette..too bad all I can afford is a Che-vette! haha Just kidding..Jokes aside, I find myself wanting a sports car even though as a kid I swore them off since I grew up with a mom and dad that both had sports cars..Dad a Corvette (70's) and mom a 1980 Camaro..I hated the back seat on mom's car with the darn hump in the middle and would ask dad "Why can't we have a Town Car like the realtor lady from Century 21 has??" He said "Those cars are for old farts!" Dad was like 52 when I was born in 73!! haha My first car in 1991 was a 1984 Nissan Datsun 300ZX 2+2 5-speed digital dash all gadgets unlike the sports cars dad always bought that had no power options..I said I wanted them all..so the darn car even talked!! He was like you wait till it all breaks down! Sure enough it did and I traded the car in when I should have kept it!! Anyway, Great test drive you did!!! I bet it will recruit a few buyers!
9000 miles does not mean "you get what you thing you're getting". Complete gamble sometimes - This car is 21 years old. Low miles means NOTHING was replaced on the car, so it's got dry seals, likely varnished fuel connections, dry fittings, dry rot in rubber pieces, plastic connectors that are beyond brittle and other nasty little surprises. I'll take a medium to higher mile car with a maintenance history ANY day over a ultra-low mile 20+ year old car. Ask me how I know...
Guess what? I sold this car 2 years ago and the gentleman put 5000 care free miles. Aside from a general service he did nothing to it. I just bought it back 2 months ago and resold it again. None of those potential issues you spoke of were an issue. I think it would take way longer than 20 years, or possibly not being stored properly. In this case we were all good. Thanks!
