    OK. Now, fold it. ;)

Why do you need a folding bike? Since you have made it impossible to easily unload and easily carry it and your luggage around, you'd probably do just as well or even better on a full size touring bike!

I was able to carry the whole baggage (including the packing of the bike, which by itself was around 10kg) on my own in one go, even up the stairs. Once the flight was done and I discarded the packaging it got even easier. I can carry the bike with luggage.
To unload and collect all the bags (except the backpack and the Brompton bag from the front) in one big bag takes about 2-3 minutes, faster if I'm in a rush. I then carry three bags and the bike - which is a far cry from my powerlifting loads.
The folding mechanism makes it possible to transport the bike with public transportation, even in cases where bikes are not allowed (never had any problems with a folding bike on a flight/ bus/ pickup/ other car/ taxi/ train/ ferry/ boat/ camel/ etc., unlike with touring bikes).
It also makes it possible to take the bike into my hotel/ hostel room/ private accommodation, so I don't have to leave it on the streets, which wouldn't be a good idea. Same applies to restaurants, etc. and for baggage storage.
Once I finish the distance of the day I can use the bike without the baggage because that stays in the room, and then the full flexibility of a folding bike comes into play. This also applies to off-days.
