RLAARLO AM-X12 on 4S - 100+ KPH Speed Run

- Trying to cross that 100kph mark with the RLAARLO AM-X12. Running 3S couldn't do it, so I decided to try 4S. Do not try running your AM-X12 on 4S with stock electronics. You could severely damage your electronics or even cause a fire.

would love to see some more am x-12 off-roading / laps at a track with decent jumps!! Durability upgrades to the steering hubs, bearing carriers, etc
I don’t have a track anywhere nearby but I will have to make an effort to get to one.

They are pretty good but I just saw the new brushless WL Toys 1/12 buggy and it looks to be pretty good too for half the price of the RLAARLO. Thanks for stopping in and checking out the video.

Awesome run man😁 I'm loving this thing lol so much fun this little guy makes some perfect jumps👍🏼I'm not tryin 4s though lol the only modification I would make is moving the battery tray to the front so it doesn't get scraped by the drive shaft but other than that I'm loving it😁✌🏽
Thanks! Glad you’re having fun with yours. I’m building a backyard track this weekend. I have most of it done. Hope to be hitting some jumps soon. I won’t run 4S unless it’s for speed runs. I think it would get way too hot if I ran it on dirt or in the grass.

Where u get the bigger pinion for it ? U know what size it takes ?
The bigger pinion came with the car from stock. They include 2 pinions in the box.
I told my friend a year ago that they are rc cars like this but he did no believed me so I proof him right.
As a test, my ESC didn't even turn on with a 4S. Did you have to change a setting on the ESC? If so, how?
I changed nothing. I just plugged it in and went.
yeah, won't even turn on for me...must be karma LOL
Are you still use the original esc and motor from am x12? Because my mine can't support the 4s battery, the esc always auto cut off on the start clik switch on.😅

Mine does the same thing ,beeps a couple times and shuts off. Esc cannot handle 4s, same esc in the am-d12, and it does the same thing.can you explain that?
@@natherfeliciano834 I cannot explain that because I don’t know why it doesn’t work for you with 4S and mine does work. Maybe they did an update on the newer ones to not allow it to run on 4S but I can’t say that’s what it is or not. Just speculation.
@@natherfeliciano834 yeh me too.., your'e am x12 carbon or alloy? I think the carbon version can use 4s, because the carb version uses a larger ESC. And uses be better transmitter and rechiver, so not same with alloy version.😁
