The choreo, their outfits (that represent different working classes, from a supposed bellboy to office worker and doctors), their rap parts and vocals oh my god. Joon and jimin really killed me in this. The message behind this song's also very beautiful, about older generations not giving youth the chance to properly prosper by their own paces, and how hard work would never betray. The lyrics, the melody/the sound, the choreo (some classic right there), and the way they look. The energy, too. My first impression at that time was that I had never seen/heard anything like that in Kpop. The way they move... How precise, how syncronized they are. In addition to everything else, that impressed me. Oh, and the fact that they were/are so unapologetically confident in their skills, in their work, etc. That, too, got me. But then life happened, and I forgot about them. Around November 2017, I guess around AMA's time, I started hearing about a group called BTS and thought the name sounded familiar, so I looked them up and saw the Dope mv and I'm pretty sure I was like, "OMG IT'S THOSE GUYS!!!" Before I knew it, I was falling into a BTS black hole. "Dope" has a special place in my heart. 😊
