I kept the 24-240 Sony and sold the tamron. I felt like the tamron had a slightly sharper image which I did like but the being able to go to 24mm and 240mm was a game changer. Also having optical stabilization was a huge plus over the tamron. I would choose the Sony every time
@DRAWN OUTDOORS TV Thanks! I was using an ok camcorder. It got the job done pretty good but the image goes downhill a lot in low light. Recently bought a sony a7c. I've been using a gopro for shots of myself
Sounds like a great setup! Yeah going to a full frame sensor camera makes such a huge difference in low light. My fx3 can see better in the dark than I can haha! I run a go pro for second angle also. I use it from time to time for stand interviews.
@@Lt.Dan2.0 definitely a great lens for all your footage of the hunt. Only shots you would struggle with is anything inside 15 yards. Everything outside of that will be great for that lens.
@drawnoutdoorstv I just started getting into photography, I have a sony a7iii with sigma 100-400 and wanna film hunts. Didn't know if I needed something smaller or not. I guess all I can do is give it a try.
@@Lt.Dan2.0 yeah you may want a wide angle lens of some sort. For close up shots depending on what kind of hunting you are doing. That 100-400 will be great for all your animal footage for sure
Great video! Often difficult to find content applicable to hunting and camera gear. Very well done
Thank you! I agree I never find anything camera related to hunting so I like to share any info or tips I can.
great comparison video!
Thanks Chris!
Nice video. So which do you prefer now? I'm torn between the two
