@@ClientGraphics I not sure if stores are independently owned but that might be a reason some have issues. I know I returned a ratchet without receipt with no issues. Honestly they earn business by doing this and making it easy for folks. If you get an hassle you might be less likely to shop there.
Alton Riggs I agree. I really appreciate Taiwanese made tools. Certainly not as good as US made tools, but they’re leaps and bounds ahead of Chinese made tools.
The Platinum version of those wrenches are only 72T, The only 90T versions to my knowledge are Carlyle, Matco, & Mountain. All of them are manufactured by Kabo.
I picked up the stubby wrenches today. Great deal. I also picked up a Carlyle screwdriver set for 22.00 and a 3/8 flex head comfort grip ratchet for 30.00.
Great video, I ordered the carlyle long wrenches based on your video to compliment my Gearwrench 120xp xl long wrenche set. I believe all wrenches have a Devine purpose. Looking forward to your next video.
I've had quality issues with my Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches from the first time I used them. I had to warranty the 1/2" wrench the first time I used that, the innards fell out. The ratchet mechanisms on the 14mm and 15mm lock up on me when being used. Both of these sets are China-made. The store manager of the NAPA I do business with has told me in the past he'd like to remove all the Gearwrench tools from the store. It's a corporate store, so I reckon he has to do what Corporate says. The last few times I've visited my NAPA store I've seen more Gearwrench tools on the clearance tables. Maybe someone at Corporate is listening. I'm adding more Carlyle tools to my tool box as the need and some times the want arises. I've bought a couple of Evercraft hand tools, like a torque-wrench and they're Taiwan-made. Now, I have three different Evercraft jacks, they're China-made. Just like some of the Snap-on jacks I looked at.
Those flex head ratchet wrenches are great. I’ve got them in the K Tool brand. I wanted to get the Carlyle since Napas are everywhere, but they’ve shot up. I can’t find the Carlyle for less than $245. Their Real Deals used to be really good, but it’s gotten to the point where the sale prices now are basically the normal price at the time of this video.
I have the carlyle double flex head set. Good tools. But the 15mm breaks most of the time. The pin thats through the racheting head and wrench arm tends to break and with napa. If you want to warranty your tool. You have to have your receipt. Kind of sucks if you lose you receipt. You might not get them warranty
NAPA had unbranded ratcheting wrenches on sale for $17 last month. Well, they were silkskreened as Evercraft. Seems like 60 teeth, but a lot of backlash. A 6-piece set. I bought the SAE and have put quite a bit of torque on them. No problems and inexpensive. For what I do, they're fine. No question, the GW set I have is better made.

I wish they at least had a seperate 9-11 you could buy for that double box set.. I bought one from teckton that was 9-11 double box to fill that in ... also I bought the platinum 22-23and the 24-25 to ad to it they also make a 27-30 in platinum double box love those wrenches

I've bought a pack of gearwrench from tractor supply + and one of the wrench are stamped husky. brand new When it comes to the tylan.knees gear wrenches just get whatever brand is cheapest.. I guess lol

mauserwaffen 98 You could still pick up NAPA USA made sockets made by Armstrong in 2015 but they were on their way out and Apex Tools closed them up in 2017. I believe Carlyle came in in 2013-2014. In all fairness it was probably 2012 when thing were in the works for ending USA production by no fault of NAPA, just the tool manufacturing being consolidating.
@@ClientGraphics yes you're right... I remember when craftsman was ending U.S. production (Danaher/Apex tool group, which Armstrong was a part of.) and started selling Chinese tools. It was right around 2014 or so. Armstrong/ Matco was a casualty of apex pushing the Chinese gearwrench tools. I really lament the rapid decline of U.S. made tools.
I dont see any low quality tools. Thats what a fool would say and that comment really dates you, napa carries proto and remaining Armstrong stock.. but you wouldn't know since you still read out of a old sears catalog, you just dont know whats good and what isn't.
Take a picture of the receipt and email it to yourself put the store, Tool brand, part number in the subject or body for quick search reference. It’s best to have something rather than nothing.
Maximiliano Huezo stubby ratchets you can get at HF but they skip at least one size. The Carlyle sets HF doesn’t make or have a comparably item. Closest brand would be Tekton. I hit up HF almost weekly!!
Iv always been told if it's a napa tool they will warranty it. No account needed, and if had no trouble getting my tools warranted.
