Sonic the Hedgehog is my favorite video game franchise. Sonic Heroes was the game that introduced me to the franchise and the game also pays homage to the Mega Drive/Genesis games. I love Sonic Heroes, my favorite Sonic game since childhood followed by Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Adventure. The Dreamcast Era is my favorite Sonic Era followed by the Mega Drive/Genesis Era.
Sonic is my favorite video game franchise as well! It has so much variety and everyone can find stuff to enjoy in both different gameplay trough games or in the multimedia aspect of the franchise. Sonic heroes and the adventure games are my favorites as well! I was introduced to the series trough Sonic underground cartoon and my first Sonic video game was Sonic riders on ps2.

For example, most of my friends have played SA2 and USED to love that game, so they're not really Sonic "fans" per say, they just remember liking the guy growing up.

Yeah like look up STPeach Sonic and you won't see anything Sonic related besides this video, while there's actual Sonic fans invested in the community and creating content for it that definitely deserve some recognition rather than some popular streamers that rarely or never make Sonic content or even talk about the franchise. The Completionist is the only one so far that remotely fits that bill since even though he's not a Sonic channel, he's a very prominent gaming channel and it's a known fact that he loves Sonic

Quite disappointed with this episode, especially compared to the stellar previous episode(s), as this person didn't feel like a genuine Sonic fan who's been a strong and active one for years. Just someone who's first game happened to be Sonic and someone who's come across some later games (none of which were named) and probably not intentionally. But Im confident the following ones will be great like the first two episodes. -It's like this person was selected for a different reason.-

Isn't nostalgia literally the only thing Sonic fans are willing to approve of? I mean, Sonic Mania was fantastic and that was a huge success. The Sonic Colors remaster will probably sell better than anything Activision Blizzard releases in the next full decade.

the series is meant to be about “sonic super fans”, according to the description at least, you’d expect to see some creators who are really passionate about the character, Jirard is a solid example, there are tons of people who are extremely passionate about sonic, people who make art, music, animations, fan games etc…, but instead they give us someone who played one or two sonic games in their life and that’s about it, the only reason they’re here is because they’re a big name in the streamer industry.
and just because a lot of passionate creators were featured in the birthday video on the sega Europe channel isn’t really a reason to not include them in this series,
hell I probably would’ve taken the game grumps over this.

My first ever Sonic game was Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Genesis! Very fun time and right after I went back to play Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and ever since then I've always been this huge passionate fan since then! And that's one thing about a Hedgehog that will never ever change! Thank you Sega and to everyone behind the scenes! Oh and uh just a side note my top 5 favorite Sonic characters are: Sonic! Shadow!
