    These are perfect for independent artists who quickly need a wireless mic system to plug into a PA system.
    I was booked for a gig at an outdoor festival and while they had corded microphones, i really needed a wireless microphone. Not only was i able to plug these microphones directly into their system, they sounded great! I highly recommend these mics even for professional use.

    This would be the perfect solution for a talk-back mic for using with our XR18. Person mixing from the crowd could use this as a nice solution where quality is nowhere near as important as a vocal mic on stage. Smooth as Peanut Butter.

    I really love to see that even ‘cheap’ mics are leveling-up in quality... I bough a couple of the more inexpensive kits to have on standby at events where a smaller PA is deployed, and we just need a one-off like a ‘Best Man speech’, etc. In online groups there is a lot of shade being thrown at anything that costs less than $1000/mic; but the entire spectrum of available products is selling... and to repeat customers. That tells me that someone is doing something right. What I like about Phenyl Pro design is that they do a good job at stick with a ‘pro’ aesthetic; some other brands just look like toys from a distance, and I think there is no excuse for that. So far, the distance and sound quality are better than I would expect from this price point; they let me hold back my more expensive mic systems for larger deployments (and places I know I will be in attendance throughout the event).

      I don’t have any on my channel. Just general knowledge of how to use an EQ and compressor are valuable for sure. I always low cut the vocals to at least 80hz minimum. And I usually like to brighten a little around 2k. Other than that, it’s all just using your ear 🤘

    Great video! only missing thing is the test with the mic cover...maybe it mitigates a bit the plosive? I have been following this company for a while and they are making very interesting stuff and affordable...I notice on this product though the antenna looks pretty fragile, if it falls down you are in trouble...that's my only down on this...another good thing for me about this product would be to save 1 rack space in my already crowded rack...I am not from USA so not eligible for the giveaway...I have been asking them to expend to Canada please!!

I have learned a lot from your channel and am getting a few cheaper wireless things to try out per recommendations from your orher videos (in ear and guitar). Anyway… I have classic shure58 for vocals and use for looping random instruments as well. it is amazing at avoiding feedback, cheap, and clear. and am wondering you would recommend this mic over the shure, or if i should figure out a way to make the shure wireless via xlr wireless connectors, and if so, do you have any recommendations?

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Shure sm58 is definitely a better sounding mic than this. Both are useable mics but the sm58 is better. Here’s a good xlr adapter that works well with the sm58: th-cam.com/video/gCgIhlSP6Oc/w-d-xo.html
      Just be careful using too much cheap wireless all at once. As a solo artist, you should be okay most of the time, but just be cautious with too much cheap wireless: th-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/w-d-xo.html
