it's really nice to have someone who draws mouths and other parts like black people because it's not that easy to find that on the internet. thanks for that!!!
ngl, it is hard to find but for the kids just please say dark instead of black because it’s kinda like racial discrimination at the point but it’s just a suggestion. For the young kids-
@@shreyasudheer the features are most common in black people. wdym "dark people"? lightskinned black people have lips that look like that too. it has nothing to do with racial discrimination and kids
this might sound a bit problematic but it’s very refreshing seeing you draw so many black people, you don’t ever really see darker skinned people being represented often within media, like if a different artist were to do this; they would’ve immediately drawn a pair of white lips, it’s not a bad thing of course, but you never realize how excluding it feels until you see someone draw black people as the majority that we are. i don’t know if i worded this correctly LOL but i hope i got my point across. your art is absolutely gorgeous and i adore the way you color, and if you don’t mind me asking, where is your accent from? it’s very pretty
I'm African, Nigerian to be exact and the way you draw black people is so gorgeous. I'm twelve and obsessed with art and I love watching artists like you draw people like me accurately. Your art is an inspiration to all the little black girls out there. Sending you love from Nigeria XOXO Epiphany 🥰🥰
I love the way you draw lips because I kinda have the same process and seeing your steps motivate me to find my own creative art style. Love all your art!!❤️❤️
My daughter is 12 and does art. She draws all day every day lol. She draws lips all the time. I think that this video is very informative and I think that she can benefit from the tips you shared. I just shared the link to this video to her. Great job and keep going! Your talent is amazing.
I’m half Filipino and I’ve always had big lips, I felt really really ashamed of them growing up and so whenever I drew myself I never would draw my lips super big. I’m starting to get more comfortable with my body and honestly this tutorial is really heartwarming so thank you💗💓

you're the reason I started drawing Black people as a Black person myself bcuz I was only used to drawing white ppl, mainly cause they're all I ever saw in the media when I was younger
Same, but a different reason. I would search how to shade black skink/dark skin, but only few that weren't my style popped up. I would only see white skin, like I should know how to draw myself

This is one of the best tutorials on lips I've seen, and your art is fantastic! I've been drawing traditionally and digitally for 30 years or more at this point, but I love watching new videos like this to see new styles and learn from younger artists, and I had to say thank you for uploading this. I subscribed almost instantly, and can't want to watch more!
I used to hate drawing lips but after this video I feel so confident in them now! Thank you for being entertaining but still teaching. This is the best tutorial I've seen! Thank you! ❤
I've learnt a lot from this video. I'm having problems on how I should paint darker skinned characters with a set of tones and this is it! Some little advice. The white captions lands on the white service on the iPad and I can't read the rest of the words. Probably use the dark pink colour like you used on your social links? all and all, great tutorial
Thank you so much for the feedback! I’ll definitely be more mindful with the placements of the text in future! 😖💖Fortunately they weren’t really important in this video, so if you missed some words it’s okay :))
I love how simple you make it look. I come to your page often for guidance because I have been trying to get better at digital art. Coloring has never been my strong suit. Lol. I render and blend entirely too much and learned that from watching your videos. Personally, I think the way you draw black characters is among the best that I have seen! Thank you for your skills!

I am HORRIBLE at painting and desperately want to learn to render. Watching how you are able to intuitively add shadow and tone where it never would’ve occurred to me is both intimidating and awesome. Like, in the 3/4 view you added some white/bluish tone where I would’ve assumed it was just shadow and it really brings it to life! Are there any resources you used when you were learning light and shadow that you’d recommend? Could you do a tutorial on light and shadow? You’re simply amazing!
