Easy life hack to start a fire:
    1. Find cheapest diablotech psu you can find
    2. Buy it
    3. Connect it to your most power consuming computer parts
And like magic you have a large house fire!

@@gaatjeniksan3068 I've only owned one Thermaltake psu, was in my first gaming pc. Ended up costing me over 400€ in repairs and left me with trust issues. Then had a Silverstone psu for a while and been using Seasonic ever since. My M12II Evo ran out of warranty but still works perfectly, so i'm using it for grounding and when helping people with their pc's. Recently got a 750w Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium, a little on the expensive side, but the 12 year warranty sure is nice to have

Can you do an in depth video on intake and outtake fan setups and their benefits for both motherboard and cpu temps for smaller cases like the level 20 VT? It would be more interesting to see how airflow can be controlled over various areas of the motherboard and this case allows for such testing. And I would like to see more of micro-atx builds as they are more portable in the real world.

I've run an EVGA SuperNova 1300 G2 for close to 4 or 5 years now and it works fantastically well. It used to power a pair of EVGA GTX 980ti Classifieds and an X299 with 32GB but now it's running a single Asus Strix 2080Ti and an Asus ROG Maximus XI Extreme Z390 with 32GB so it's not loaded. There is something to be said for having a too big PSU for your needs, since it can also potentially last longer due to less loading on components designed for much higher loads. While there is an "ideal" size based on your equipment, there's also nothing wrong with having too much PSU output. By that I mean it's not going to harm your equipment and operating costs will be negligible vs a smaller more optimally sized (for your needs) PSU (assuming similar efficiencies), with the only difference being cost. Going bigger than you need at the time of your build will also give you room to grow into

*Rule of thumb,* add up all your at 100% load wattages and double it. (for cheap PSU's or PSU's without fanless mode)
*Advanced Rule of thumb,* add up all your at load wattages and multiply by 2.5, then ensure that the PSU is a gold rated or better with a fanless mode. (If you want a quality PSU)
Most "eco", "zero RPM" or "fanless" modes will be active at 40% of rating and below (some go higher), which means no fan running to suck crap into your PSU. If you can achieve that by default under load, the fan should only ever kick in on hot days when the ambient temperature is high. In effect you end up with a fanless PSU with all its benefits (quiet and stays clean), with a fan backup should it be needed.
Contrary to popular opinion, having too big of a PSU isn't a problem as most efficiency curves peak at 50% but are reasonably flat at between 40 and 60% and you only see large efficiency drop offs well under 20% where it doesn't matter that much as the power loss is small at idle and light loads. e.g. 80% efficiency @ 100 watts = 20W lost, which is the same amount of total power loss as 95% efficiency @ 400W = 20W lost.
There's a bunch of things to consider that weren't covered by this video, output ripple being a big one. While most PSU's have reasonably good ripple control, that can still vary by a large amount between PSU's (2-4X+).
Continuous output rated temps of 30° 40° 50°, most are rated at 40° but some cheap ones are 30° (typically unbranded) and better ones are 50°, this is the ambient air temp. If the psu is drawing from inside the case (like top mounted PSU's can) then this can matter in a "hotbox" scenario, you definitely don't wan't a 30° rated supply running at 100% capacity in those scenarios.
The above rule of thumb typically takes most of the technical PSU considerations out of the need to be considerations (It's why it's the rule of thumb). But if for any reason you intend to run anywhere near 100% capacity (80% or higher) choose wisely.

I'm still using the Original Corsair HX1000w PSU, it's rated @ 80 Plus(only 80%) but I used it for many upgrades over the years, including 2x ATI 2GB HD4870X2 in Crossfire X(4 gpu's) & 3x 2GB Nvida GTX 670 FTW in 3-way SLI. I don't see a point in upgrading my powersupply if it still works!

i dont go for the most efficiency but more for protection of my hardware, like surge/burst, short circuit, over voltage etc. or coverage forshort main outages like .1 - .3 sec or so (yes in my city here in germany this happens sadly more often then u think) then for the modularity and low noise, efficiency is mostly the last point i care for but it has to be at least 80+

I went with a Pure Power 11 500W for my system. The only non-modular cables were the motherboard ATX power cables, with everything else being modular. This was great, because my system doesn't need a lot of stuff (3 SATA power, 1x8 ping for GPU, ATX power), but I know I won't have to buy a new PSU if I ever upgrade to a beefier GPU, or get more SATA devices.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti in my current PC Tower (case) by CYBERPOWER and my concerns with making a Graphics Card Purchase is the Size available (Measured the space at about 12 inches), and that being said Graphics card Space and as well the needed Power Supply required if I say Purchase a 1060/1070 upgrade Graphics Card. EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW ULTRA SILENT GAMING, 8GB GDDR5, ACX 3.0 & RGB LED Graphics Card (is that the Socket or Plug in to my mother board?) I really want to be sure that my selection will actually run in my system.
    Can you advise?

Funny thing is that this video was sponsored by Be Quiet!
At the very beginning of this month, I bought parts to build my own pc and amongst those parts was a BQ PSU.
It blew off on this very Monday morning...
Frankly, despite knowing that this brand has a good reputation, I don't know what to think now...

I just bought the 1000w Be Quiet Straight Power 11, plugged it all in, flicked it on and saw a bright blue zapping light and screeching noise come from it, unplugged it all and immediately had to test that my components weren't fried. Getting a replacement unit tomorrow so hopefully this one won't be faulty - I hope I'm just very unlucky and that doesn't reflect on the quality of their products though

That all depends on the PSU it is.

PSUs are the part in a PC where only the best of the best is enough, IMO. They last you very, very long and save you a ton of money if you buy the best, most efficient one. And in addition to that, higher quality PSUs also deliver "cleaner" energy to the devices in the PC with less ripple, more stable voltage etc. I spent the money on a Dark Power Pro 11 some time ago and so far it's worth every penny.
