The 51' VW-Samba Bus from the Eifel - Part 1: Barndoor´s coming home, it´s coming home, it´s coming!

  • After more than three years of work, Mark Spicer has restored the body of our '51 Samba Bus in England, his buddy Adam has done the headliner, seats and interior trim panels while Florian and the VEWIB team have spent the last few years repairing or organizing the engineering components (engine, transmission, electrics, axles, rubber parts, etc.) and gathering the missing parts worldwide. Now it's time to bring the Samba home, so off we go to England for a new VW adventure!

    Immediately after the return, the final assembly starts, which we will publish here in the channel as a continuation story. On the last weekend of June, the thing must be completed, because the Samba is registered at the big veteran meeting in Hessisch-Oldendorf and we have the ambition to drive from Bonn to Hessisch-Oldendorf with TÜV, regular registration and of course on our own axle.
