I had a left mca ischemic stroke. While on blood thinners. No one has ever explained to me how this could happen?? Did not receive TPA was over an hour after initial onset of stroke. Did have endovascular nothing found
And no mention at all about the diet that REVERSES heart disease and actually PREVENTS a stroke in the first place?
It's not as simple as preventing heart disease by diet alone.There are genetic factors that cause the body to make more cholesterol than normal. My brother has an impeccable diet with little to no beef or pork, has never been overweight, and runs 3-5 times per week. He had very high cholesterol despite that and ended up having a heart attack. My best friend is a physician and always followed a low fat heart healthy diet. He has never been overweight and does long distance running yet he was diagnoses with type 2 diabetes. He did some research and completely changed his diet to keto with high protein, high fat, and very low carbs. His cholesterol levels have remained within the recommended range and his blood glucose and A1C levels are now normal. He was so strict about having a heart healthy diet prior to that and now he feels like it was all for nothing. It turns out that the largest donors to the American Diabetic Association are companies that produce sugar. Evidence based practice is very important but nowadays big pharma won't do research studies unless it profits them & even then they skew the results to work in their favor.
