I'm coming for a weeklong lifestyle visit next month so I have been watching a lot of videos. I must say that you have had the most extensive drone footage of The Villages and I Lov'd it.... gives a great perspective of the area that you don't see from the ground
Thank you for the info. Enjoyed the visit. 😊 Wish they had a clothes dresser with drawers? Was wondering what Harvest food dishes looked like before you ate them 😂 subscribed
Welcome to The Villages Lifestyle❤️😎We love it here & appreciate golf carting around‼️Our job daily is to have FUN💯So enjoy yourselves😄😉Welcome to Paradise☀️
@10:30 That is an Ecobee, not a Nest, big difference :D Ecobee is better and depending on what model you place in the wall you can talk to it, plays music, works with Ms. A, works with HA & Homey allowing you to run routines locally.
I would suggest renting for a month or two before you purchase a home. It’s such a massive place, but it’s a lot of fun. You have to be at least 30 to use the adult pools, the ones usually at a mail station.
Hello. You will have a great time. An umbrella would have been handy in the golf cart. The village’s GPS, the free one did not work for us. A notepad. You will see so many areas, places of interest and houses it is hard to remember them all. If you golf, bring a bunch of Gatorade or beverage of choice. We don’t recall ever seeing a beverage cart. Have fun and happy house hunting!
New homes no longer include fans or window blinds. They used to include everything. Also the homes built after 2021 are built very quickly and consist of lower quality cabinets, floors, light fixtures etc Been here visiting for over 10 years...and now living here for 4 years and watching the quality go downhill
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately that is a nationwide trend. Base houses have basic components. Everything is a upgrade in all new housing Communities. The pre-cast construction however is pretty impressive. The houses are like bank vault’s. Quiet and sturdy. Just make sure you choose the upgrades or budget to replace the items that you may not care for.
@@HighestGearReviews I’ve been living here. We built a new home in 2022. I’m trying to give YOU advice! Be careful where you choose to live. And if building a new home be prepared to go way over your budget because they do not give you a breakdown of what everything cost until you finish choosing everything and then they just give you a total we had to insist on getting a breakdown of the cost of everything we did. Building in The Villages is not what it used to be. Good luck to you!
Clearly, suzsnnesanders4742, you know nothing about real/everyday life in The Villages (TV). MOST of those kind of criticisms are myths started by and then propagated (parroted) by people who never actually lived there. Research those criticisms (gossip being one) for yourself and you'll find they are almost completely baseless. Is TV perfect? A so-called "paradise" without some issues? Of course not, but in fact TV probably has less of that (and other) nonsense than "normal" communities do. Still, it doesn't have to be a place for everyone (for whatever reason) but for those that do live there, most would not want to live anywhere else. -- BR
Whatever makes them happy !!! I'll never live there either . But I like watching the videos and the people are very nice . And many of them, all have their own youtube channel . Jerry and Linda Rusty Nelson , Michael & Tiffany and many others !!!! Nice friendly people !!
7 out of 10 people who move to the Villages think they are going to be the next Villages TH-cam star, but the reality is the market is saturated. Don’t factor TH-cam money into your budget 😊
Newer golf cars ride like a dream and with the side curtains no one is getting wet. They are slow (20 mph is the speed limit) but I’m retired and I have no need to hurry anymore. Slow and easy is the ticket.
Looks like you enjoyed your lifestyle visit. 😊 Please ignore the negative comments since those that made them likely never stepped foot in The Villages. My husband and I relocated from R.I. to The Villages in 2022 primarily for the warm year round climate as well as we both enjoy playing golf which no other golf community has anywhere near the number of executive and championship courses that The Villages has. We are friendly people but are not social butterflies and are quite content in having formed a tight knit small group of close friends that some are also neighbors and some we knew back in R.I. that relocated to TV before and after us. You do not have to be non stop active 24/7 to enjoy living in TV but if you want that type of lifestyle the opportunities are endless. In a nutshell we have absolutely no regrets moving to TV. We love our home which is an Avondale model courtyard villa and our neighborhood which is in south St.Johns. Our COL is lower than it was in R.I. since we paid pretty high property taxes in the town we formerly lived, and our house there was pretty close to the bay so our home owner's insurance was higher. And since R.I. has pretty high utility costs compared to most of the rest of the country we are saving a good deal on gas, electric, and water. And those savings have really helped us weather the current inflation. Sure, The Villages is not perfect but there is no community that is but for us it is perfectly imperfect.
I was left wondering what things cost, meals, swimming, clubs, etc.

Thank you for watching. You will have a great visit. I do think the drone adds that added perspective which is neat to see. Enjoy your stay!

Thank you for watching and glad you had a good stay.
Great video. Looks almost like the place we stayed for our Lifestyle visit in May. We loved it. We’re renting a place in the Villages this winter.
Thank you for watching. It is a wonderful place. Have fun this winter.
Thanks. I really enjoyed the tour. I trust your review more than many others.
Hello. Thank you so much for watching and the kind words.
We had a great visit, and really enjoyed the community.
Have a great day!
Thanks for the video. TV is awesome and can’t wait to move there
Thank you for watching. Should have part 2 out this weekend. It is a pretty awesome place.
living the good life, grinding work my whole life to eventually move somewhere like here
I agree sir. Well earned I’m sure. The pride the owners have in their community was monumentally evident.

Thank for sharing-going in October
Thank you so much for watching. I should have part 2 up this weekend. Been an unbelievable busy last couple of weeks.

Excellent advice. Thank you for the clarification on the pools!
Great video! Thanks for the tour. Will be there next week for our visit. Can you suggest anything we should bring?

@@HighestGearReviews think I heard you say you want a 4 car garage in video. We are also interested in something like that. Please let us know thanks
Bike helmets if you intend to ride the bikes provided with your lifestyle visit.
Being single, a house this size woudl be fine for me...not only during a Lifestyle visit but for purchasing to live there.

I would agree. Was a nice place and bigger than 1st appears. Best wishes and I hope you enjoy your stay.

My house built last year has fans and blinds.
How can alligators survive there in those manicured ponds? Does somebody feed them or so?
Not all are manufactured
Looks like an Army base. Been there, done that.
Lived on an army base for years. Very, very, very far from it. Thanks for watching.
Not even close to base living. For lots, the house is irrelevant but the lifestyle, now that’s where it’s at!
The pools are heated fyi.
Awesome! Good to know. Thanks for watching.
How is it 55+ community, if you have to be 19+ years of age to live there??
Hi there. It is a 80/20 dealio. Supposedly 80 percent of the residents have to be over 55. At least I think that’s how it’s set up.
You have to be over 55 to buy a home not to live here. There are lots of adult kids ( 20’s+) living with their parents.
No you don’t have to be over 55 to purchase .No there are not a lot of 20 plus adult kids living with their parents.
No way would I live here to many people and I can imagine gossip all over the place, it's an overgrown Disney world for adults!!
Like anyplace, it is what you make it. If your a gossiper I’m sure you would find gossiper’s. And nothing wrong with an adult Disneyland.

lol. Thanks for watching first off. Luckily we are definitely not dependent on TH-cam, but it is fun!
🤣
🤣🤣
Sorry, but, am I the only one that does not find golf carts cool? They’re slow, bumpy, you get wet in the rain. I just don’t find them, cool.
You are. They are so fun at TV.
You maybe. lol. They are a hoot! I love my cars but convenience of carts is great.
Yes, I think you might be :) They are quite fun!
I'm not a fan of golf carts either. Newbies seem to love them but the novelty eventually wears off.
Newer golf cars ride like a dream and with the side curtains no one is getting wet. They are slow (20 mph is the speed limit) but I’m retired and I have no need to hurry anymore. Slow and easy is the ticket.
Frank and Bob the lizard at least gives The Villages a little bit of cultural diversity. 97% is disturbing…welcome to the real life Truman Show.
Sometimes it just takes time to diversify areas. I am not a social engineer but seems a great place for any type of demographics to call home.
Why should that be a goal? Anyone who wants to live here can live here. It's usually people that have never been here that have problems.
That's why people move there!
There’s nothing wrong with people wanting to be safe.

cookie cutter and construction materials are as cheap as they get, but it is what it is.
Thanks for watching.
If that was the case they wouldn’t be building over 325 a month
