Hello everyone! I hope you enjoy this video! If you haven't check out the other two videos in this trilogy! I've had a lot of fun making these videos! I'm excited to move on from though, if I'm being honest! Haha! I'm excited to move on to different games (don't worry, I'll still make silly block game content). Anyway, thanks for watching! :D
Honestly, I'm really excited for what Nintendo does next! It feels like we've entered a new era, with Mario Wonder, Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, The Thousand Year Door Remake, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Fire Emblem Engage, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Metroid Dread, and even Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, *ALL* feeling like a change in their status quo's!! ...I mean, we got new Metroid and Pikmin games, so they're clearly changing up a lot...
Mario Wonder marks the first appearance of Daisy in a mainline Mario game since Super Mario Land. Here's hoping they let Waluigi into mainline Mario next...
Great video! Playing this game just makes me so happy. Haven't felt this way about a game since playing Super Mario 3D Land as a kid. Wonder is definitely my favourite 2d Mario
Keep up the work bro, doing Great. My favorite part of wonder is how funny it is, the flowers, the animations and that goomba level, it’s not best level but it’s the funniest level. Me and my sisters spent hours saving those goombas
27:46 I'm surprised you didn't mention Minecraft here! I don't leave a ton of TH-cam comments anymore, but I gotta say that you've quickly become one of my favorite TH-camrs. As someone with a strong belief in games as art, it's fantastic to find a channel that takes that as seriously as I do. Some of your videos really challenge my line of thinking, too. I'm still ruminating on your last Minecraft video, and this vid was an interesting bow tie on your series about change in art. "Change simply is." I don't think I've ever thought about how the inevitability of change also applies to art. This reality is something I often try to just ignore, both in life and games. Hoping my favorite game series stays course forever, wishing that my favorite hardware would never go out of production, scorning the very idea that I can grow tired of a game I used to love as my tastes in games evolve. But things change, art changes, the mediums we use to produce and consume art change. And I think, at least for art, that's something we should love. Could Nintendo have stuck with the NSMB series forever? Probably, and they would likely continue to sell well. But what damage would that do to Mario's image over time? What damage could that do to the artists who would be creatively stifled? Change can be resisted, but trying to fight it is just gonna hurt eventually. Instead, they chose to rock the boat with Wonder. And look at the result.
This is a fantastic comment and this is exactly what I wanted people to take away from this trilogy. How is art made? Where can it go wrong? And what happens when we embrace that change? I’m really happy you’ve enjoyed my art and I hope I’ve inspired you to make your own! ❤️
I just like the way you talk about games. I mean you seem to really take your time thinking about the games you want to make a video about. Great work :)
this video was great, i watched it to the end, it opened my mind to mario and how repetetive it was, and how have devs and artists need more creativity. thank you for this beautiful piece of art.
To say simply, this video is on the same tier of quality as all the big channels i watch doing these kinds if video essays. Keep up this kind of stuff alongside your more popular stuff like Minecraft, people that enjoy you from Minecraft will bleed over into watching these videos too.
Side note, and not really a complaint... Does anyone else think modern Super Mario games are a lot easier than the 8-bit-era ones, even just judging as a spectator?

Late to the party? The MARIO party
Awesome video! I recently (almost) 100% wonder aside from the standees and aside from the invisibility section I loved every second of it

This was an amazing video! It really made me think. Good luck with TH-cam! These videos are incredibly high quality and fun!
I adore the animation in Mario Wonder, probably one of my favorites out of Nintendos whole catalog, and I definitely enjoyed this series!

I mean they definately do accomodate for less skilled players, I think the older games were harder in some ways.
an interesting vid thank you!
