I've tested and bought the T5.
I did 22h+ under it in the last 2 weeks (1 week cross, 1 week castelluccio).
This is my 2nd glider after 2 years under an EN-A Sky Fides 5.
I agree about the strong stability of the wing, which allows to fly in various conditions.
Pitch stops quickly by itself, its really impressive. "pitch-stable behaviour" indeed.
I agree about the "shock absorber / elasticity" feeling.
I also agree about the brakes : really comfortable and good size!!
I feel pretty safe using the speedbar. I had no collapse while using the speedbar yet.
I'm in PTV 95-115 (L) just above the middle of the range.
I go up (thermaling or soaring) really easily with the Tequila, I definitely agree with its reputation.
From my feeling, the T5 has great performance and great passive security.
I agree about the "fun for a long time" in the air, which is what I want to start good xc flights.
I remain serene under T5 which is essential for progression.
Compared to other wings i've tested, T5 is giving input on risers, but i got the hang of it pretty quickly. It's not too much and gives nice informations. T5 "got life" indeed. A friend of mine was unhappy about this after a test with a very calm glider.
When getting out of a 360 with ressource, i got the feeling i have to let the wing overshoot quite a bit before stopping the pitch, otherwise the wing keeps shooting when i release the brakes. The wing will probably go far before collapsing (good point). I'm told its normal for some EN-B gliders.
To sum up, from my experience
- The glider performance is very good. It goes up easily even in light conditions.
I recently flew next to EN-C gliders and got the same floatability and glide (in no wind)
- Handling and turn feeling is super great.
- Inflation is super super easy. Easier than my EN-A ! I now often use only 2 A risers (middle) otherwise you get immediate lift on some takeoffs sites.
- Sheated lines and breakes are great. (unsheated at top)
- T5 "got life", but no scary rapid movements/overshoots
I'm pretty happy about the T5. My best flights with it so far:

This was a great compliment to the video review. Thanks for taking the time to write it 👍
Purchased one secondhand after 20 or so flights and I must say I love the feeling compared to my school EN-A glider. I’m a low time pilot but don’t feel intimidated at all. Launching is easy (makes me look like a pro) and it gave me great pleasure whilst thermalling, responsive but not a handfull. Just what I needed.
Sounds like my next wing! I'm tossed between the Tequillla 5 and the Arak more especifically because I'm a "Light" glider kind if pilot! My main glider now is an Ozone Ultralite3.
Skywalk is the best 👍🏻
Have you done a review on the tequila 6? I can't seem to find it if you have
I have a T5 !! I AM A Happy Pilot
Nice to see a bit of a different review Greg with more of the personality and fun coming across :) I dread to ask but, how've you been finding editing the fusion footage?
the edits are time-consuming. If I can get the same shot with another camera (gopro) I will, but for those angles that need the 360, it's well worth shooting.
Thanks for the review it looks promising I will definitely add the tequila 5 on my list of glider to test during this summer and replace my mescal 4 at the end
nice review flybubble team
Nice review!! How is the Arriba 4 compared to the Tequila?
Hi Greg. For a skilled beginner, still learning, who wants to fly in dynamic and thermal conditions, which would you choose between Tequila 6 and Geo 7?
good review!
biggest question: are the (big) ears now more stable than on the T4? On some sizes / weights the ears on the T4 tended to continuiously flutter.. regardless of the method applied for getting them in.
Nicolas Hoyer last time it was the S size that flapped around. This time the S was well behaved in all flights I tested. Not sure about other sizes.
Nicolas Hoyer you can see the M size is stable in the review vid
I've got a T4 M - being quite well in the mid weight and it does flap around.. unfortunately
A comparisson with ion 5, epsilon 8 and Arak, pls
arak less 'restricted' handling than tequila5, it is more similar to e8: responsive and needs some finesse. t5 and ion5 are in a similar bracket, more in 'bombproof' class. The aerial equivalent of lilos strapped to gokarts?
Whats the next step after the Tequila 5? Arak or Cumeo?
Does the Tequila 5 fit in the Wani 3?
How would you compare this to the Epsilon 9?
Hi
Any reviews about u turn black light
Another great review thanks team. Do I go with a T5 to upgrade my old T3 or the Chili 4? Decisions, decisions...
get the wing that makes you so excited about flying it changes your life. If you feel you've got an airtime shortage for the higher grade, get the airtime! Part of choosing a wing is skills match, part of it is motivation and thrill. We're not talking about getting a Zeno here, you'll be fine on both wings. Not sure about C4? Get 50 hours more time on your T3 quick!
Great review!
Great review, as always! I'm planning to replace my glider and I find this reviews very usefull. Thanks a lot!
Just a question... looks like this glider is easier to fly than Buzz z5 and ion 5, what about performance (glide/climb)? I'm flying an itv dolpo2 right now? Thanks!
The Phi Symphonia always seems to be described in reviews (including flybubble) as an A class with the performance of a B. If that's the case, how do the Tequila 5 and the Symphonia compare?
big overlap going on here. Symphonia has more feedback, more direct responses, more agility. T5 probably slightly easier to launch in strong wind, gives you less punch in powerful air, but is also knocked back a bit more by gusts. Top speed, glide, climb rate probably too close to measure the difference with any degree of scientific accuracy.
Sounds to me like your saying the t5 is a more laidback and overall safer wing to fly than the Symphonia, Greg? I guess the EN classification isn’t anymore the defining system it used to be...
Doesn’t make it easier for beginner/progressing pilots that haven’t flown a variety of wings to make a decision which wing is the right one...
Thank you for all of your effort and work helping us to understand and educating us!
WalkIntoTheSky be careful of 'sounds like'/reading between the lines .. laid back yes, safer no .. it totally depends on the pilot being matched to the wing. Symphonia has great passive safety but more 'life' and sharper responses. So if you are ready for it, it is safer in that you're more connected and get faster responses. If u don't know what you're doing, then it gives the opposite effect so you're better off on T5.
Thank you for clarifying! Really helpful!
Confused between skywalk chili 4 et gin sprint 3 What do you advise me, my friend?. . .
hows to get that paraglider ...
Recommending an EN-B glider for an "ambitious first wing pilot" is not a good idea IMHO.
It might gives the impression you can fly easily T5 with 0 flight hours.
Also from what Greg is saying at the end (2nd glider after first year): I got the feeling this applies mostly for gliders on small hills.
Personnally, I'd say this would be ambitious in the Alps with a complex aerology and strong thermals.
Also about the "low B glider":
This is slightly confusing because skywalk sell this glider as an "intermediate", EN-B glider.
I suppose this is to mean "opposite to high B gliders / B+". I guess there are some EN-B gliders with more confort and less performance. Whatever, choose a glider corresponding to your level and that you feel safe under.
See my other comment for T5 behavior
Hello, I'm flying in the Alps and I'm a pilot since 1 year; so I'm not sure what you're thinking about T5 to be flown in strong (and sometimes turbulent) conditions. Would you recomment it or not, and why? Thanks. I now am flying a Masala 2 (Skywalk).
My mife has tested the new Tequila 5 , and ordered it !!!
So easy to get it over the head, in comparison to the Sup'air Leaf.... it's the opposite.
It's really stable in the air, smooth, gently.... a really progression glider for someone who want to XC and have fun ;) with smile !!
May anyone tell me where is that flight place located?
same old hill we use in most of our reviews, in the south of England
Tequila in the jar !! Cheers ! Nice Greg👌🏻
