(former) BMW fan here too. Also still have my (former) favorite 550i, level 1 tuned to 515HP. My 2023 MYP beats it easily. Just got 2 M3LR RWD one for wife one for daughter. Both Wht/Wht. Better than my MYP! Im a bit jealous of the design, quietness, ride, LED lighting and…cooled seats! And I agree with the value assessment - easily the best value of content/tech/efficiency, safety, style and performance of any car now, ICE or BEV. The MY refresh next year, bringing it to the level of the 2024 M3 should be awesome
So crazy that I ran across your review after I test drove a Model 3 RWD today.... I currently own a 2021 Mazda Miata that I've used as daily driver for the past few years. I love it to death, but I want something more practical with more space.... The novelty of the Miata has worn off for me I suppose. I think the Model 3 will be a great replacement after driving one today. I'm going to make the purchase in a week or two. Speaking of the Chevy Cruze, one of my friends currently has a 2016 Cruze that's having multiple coolant leaks and it's going to cost her $700+ to fix it. She's tired of shelling out cash on various repairs. I'm taking her tomorrow afternoon to go pick it up from the shop.... On the ride there, I'm going to tell her to test drive the Model 3. lol. Thank you for the great & unbiased review!
Good luck with your purchase! The fun still hasn’t worn off for me I’m sure you’ll love it. We were in the same situation as your friend with our old Chevy.. Such a quality of life improvement having something reliable lol.
Congrats on your car 🎉🎉 you are going to love it. !!! I should know because I took delivery of my refreshed M3 LR in stealth grey black interior in March. First EV. I absolutely love this car. It is ridiculously fast for what it is , it's comfortable , quiet no squeaks rattles or creaks. I love having no stalks, regenerative braking is awesome. Cooled seats come in clutch in the summers of Phoenix Arizona. I can go on. It literally puts a smile on my face every time I get to drive it. Enjoy your car sir
Congrats man!! Same situation, changed over from a Hyundai Elantra to a M3 Rwd refresh about a month ago… absolutely love it will never go back to ICE. Amazing car and so much fun to drive. Also in Phoenix! As long as you get a tint, no worries about the heat. Funnest car ever to drive easily.
Nice vid, new sub. Call me crazy, but I love this thing soo much I’m trading in my 2024 Model 3 Performance for it. Already ordered it. Should be ready in November. As nice as the Performance model is, I enjoy trying to get the most efficiency out of it more than driving it hard for the performance. Now with 0%, was a no brainer for me to pull the trigger. I think this car is the sweet spot in the line up for sure. Good luck with yours, looking forward to more vids. Soothing voice btw.
Great video! Hope you enjoy the car for many years to come! Only thing different I’d do is the wheels. 18 aeros makes a huge difference in range for me.
Thanks! I can definitely see us picking up the 18” wheels in the future but range hasn’t been an issue yet. We just went on our first long road trip and only had to stop once to charge. Took about as long as pumping gas and grabbing a snack! Really happy with the purchase.
@@avantjohn oh definitely! I find charging stops a lot more fun than gas station stops too! Pick a short episode format tv show, or watch some TH-cam sport highlights and the 10-15 minutes charging stops go by so fast haha. Enjoy the car and drive safe!
Got mine 6 days ago and I'm very happy with it so far. The improvements are substantial both inside and out. It's like they changed everything in some way. Only complaint was the condition of the paint. Has scratches and chips. :(
You will probably recoup the car payment every month in gas savings. The LR, RWD should be one of the most efficient EVs on the planet. I own a 2022 Model 3 RWD, which has the LFP batteries. I also own a Toyota Tacoma 4-wheel drive truck, which had been my primary vehicle. It costs around $65 -$80 to fill up the 22 gallon tank on my Tacoma. My Model 3 costs $7.75 to charge from 0 -100% at my home. The cost savings per month is approximately $200 - $300 in gas alone. I calculated that if I drive the Model 3 25,000 miles, it will have paid for itself in gas savings alone, not counting insurance costs. You don't drive a lot, so your savings will be less, but regardless, you have a stunning EV which has over 300 miles in range. The Tesla Model 3 has been rated the most reliable vehicle in China, which is the largest automobile market in the world. A friend of mine just bought a 2019 Model 3 that still has over 250 miles of range when he charges it, and he loved it. He also has a Model Y, and he said driving the Model 3 was a lot more fun and exciting. The Model 3 electric motors are designed to last one million miles, and the batteries will easily last 10 years and keep at least 85% of their capacity. The car you bought is probably the best car for the money on the market today by far.
Picked up the car this month. My only complaint is that i wish we can turn the regen down even more than what is avaliable. The older models you can turn the regen down a lot. Other than that, amazing car! 1.99% 0 down $8500 total with EV tax and referral.
Thanks for the video. Got the same discounts and rate and I agree it was a no brainer for our family. Stealth grey and black interior. We have two little ones and i was wondering if you know if you can connect two Bluetooth headsets to the rear screen at the same time?
I bought the cheapest model available at $35K RWD LR Stealth Grey/Black Seats 18in Wheels delivered on Aug 10th. Now it is $1000 even cheaper with referral code link. The only problem I had was both L and R scroll wheels weren't intermittently responsive. I finally put in a service request and the Tech came out to the house and replaced the steering wheel within 15 minutes. Now the autopilot and skipping music is fixed. I should have called it in sooner cause now my FSD free trial is over. I loved having AutoPark for a month. I miss that the most.
Great to hear a positive service experience! I agree Auto Park is a stand out feature. I wish you could subscribe to it separately from Full Self Driving.
Thanks! I do have a 20ft 48v extension on the wall charger. The popular cable by Lectron is always sold out. I found this one on Best Buy and haven’t had any issues. Pretty expensive. We have full coverage through USAA + glass / rental / gap added. This puts us right under $200/month when bundled with our full policy. It was around $150 before the additions.
If range is a concern at all I’d save the money and go with the 18”. The 18” wheels also have more options for covers or you could grab an aftermarket wheel from a different company down the line!
Congratulations! I’m waiting for my RWD with the same configuration. So far how is your driving experience with the 19 inch wheels? How’s does the car feel?
Thanks! I think the updates to the suspension make the ride comfort difference between the 18” & 19” wheels pretty negligible. The biggest downside would be the decrease in efficiency. My daily mileage is pretty low so it’s not an issue but someone with a longer daily commute should definitely take that into consideration.
Don't worry. White pearl is classic. Looks beautiful with nova wheels it looks perfect. I have m3 LR awd in white with nova wheels. Ive ppf'ed it and it looks extremely glossy like it is a cgi from GTA computer game. Super shiny. Very nice. Also, over time people will get use to M3 highland as it gets more popular and dark colors will not be so attractive and make the car look abit smaller while white will make you feel more of the presence and size of the car.
Great video! I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze and can’t wait to get something else. I’m currently saving for the 2024 Model 3 LR AWD. Hopefully my time to switch will be within the next few years when prices come down.
The time to get it is right now! You get 7500 tax credit instantly, tesla will take your Cruz as trade in and you get 1.99 APR. just get one you will not regret it! On top of all that you can add a down payment to make your monthly bill less. The tesla insurance is cheap at 169 a month I’m paying for full coverage. Also you will save on gas and maintenance but I’m telling it. It’s so much fun. Go for the dual motor if you can. At least test drive it.
@@avantjohn Thanks, dude. I did consider the Model S, but honestly, for that much money, I need more than just speed, lol. The Model 3 checked all our boxes. You definitely take a hit on the value of gas savings if you can’t charge at home. But it’s still a great car if you live/work near a supercharger and don’t mind the added expense.
