World's Highest Thrill Ride (Sky Drop - Canton Tower)

- This is the Sky Drop, the world's highest thrill ride.
The drop itself isn't very big (around 30m), but it's all about the location - on top of Canton Tower in Guangzhou, China - the world's 2nd tallest tower! Enjoy the views.

I went to China for 6 weeks came back 4 days ago and went on the Canton tower and the ride scared the hell out of me

The Stratosphere in Vegas used to hold the title of the tallest thrill ride in the world.. much respect to the Canton tower, but it's very different. The Vegas prominent structure paved the way for super tall structures with possible thrill rides
It's an odd record though...I mean you just need somewhere tall to stick an average ride! The big Shot is one of my favourite non-coaster rides due to that airtime high above the Strip!

I was on that sky drop in 2018 and it was the best experience of all time. The view and all of that stuff are just perfect!!

I was on that ride 6 years ago. Definitely worth it if you're ever in Guangzhou.

I really enjoy all the videos you post and i just want to say you have excellent taste in your music selection. This song by Jackie Wilson titled "higher and higher" is one of my all time favorites, well fitting for this video. Thanks for sharing.
I am not sure as it was bought as part of our organised tour, but I believe to experience everything, including the access to the world's highest observation deck, bubble tram, drop ride, spiderwalk, etc is quite pricey. The Tower's website says the price is 498 Yuan, so just over £40.

No, the highest thrill ride is the Big Shot at the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.
Wrong - the Canton Tower is almost 50% higher than the rides in Vegas!

I though it drops 600 metres.
+Happy 888 The tower is 600 metres high, not the drop...although I would love it to drop 600 metres!
