I attended a performance in Irvine California, it was a sold out house many times over. This was one of the most stirring performances that I have ever attending, short of the USMC at 8th and I. A truly great preformance and I would go again in a heart beat.

The Coldstream Guards band on tour is about 40 pieces. Of this number they seem to be putting about 25 on stage shows, and about 35 in arenas. Previous tours of Guards bands usually had 48 with most put on the foor for arena shows. The Scots DGs number only 18, which is small even for a regimental pipe band these days. The norm would be 12 pipers, plus 8 drummers.

Yes, nice video. This is direct from the current tour going in the USA. Note how small the band is these days. Do you have any other videos from this show. I just saw it up North two times and have always enjoyed these British military band tours. Attendence seemed sparse in the audience. Too bad.

the drum major and at least one of the musicians are from the grenadier guards.
