Market cap isn't applicable to crypto. What is important is liquidity. The two are very different. This vid is propagating a fallacy. If Tommy and Timmy each put $10 in a piggy bank, and then along comes Jimmy and puts in $20, that doesn't mean that there is $60 in the piggy bank. If Tommy and Timmy each take out $20 from the piggy bank, there is nothing left for Jimmy.
Now apply that analogy to crypto and you will realise the ''value'' or ''market cap'' is bs. It's like saying that there was $60 in the piggy bank, when there was $40.
A Pool Full of Digital Money. This Pool Full Of Digital Money Gives Your Coins Real World Value, Which Also Allows People To Earn additional Value From, as each coin increases in value over time.
I haven't yet watched the video but i know it from forex and indice day trading. Liquidity in simple terms is how many participants are participating in that particular cryto at a given time, if there is high liquidity due to many participants selling the crypto at a given time, the price is gonna fall hard at that time and vice versa. If liquidity is high the price is going to be extremely volatile and if it's low the there price is pretty much going to be stagnant.
I've always found the analogy of swimming in a pool to explain liquidity to be spot on! It's so clear and relatable. And the way you connect it to slippage and spread is genius. It's like the missing puzzle piece I needed to finally understand these complex concepts. Thanks for making crypto a little less intimidating!

Fiat currency is valuable because you government tells you so. Cryptocurrency is valuable because the people tell you so. What's the difference? The governments of the world have control of the money. They don't have control of Cryptocurrency. ETFS has changed things drastically in my opinion. It's opened the door for them to take over but we'll see
