My wishlist * mods, or level editor. See - geometry dash. It wouldn't be where it's today if not for level editor. See minecraft and rim world. Modding is what make them thrive * multiplayer. So you can visit houses or race off against your BFF. See elona. * hurry mode. Overlaps with your increased difficulty - make timer go faster without making game faster, vampsurv has it. After playing 10 games, playing in beginning is too boring in the beginning and I want to fast forward it. * rogue-like dungeons. Kill baddies progress to next dungeon, more difficult enemies. See angband or elona. Like endless but you can save midway. Right now I can "save" only because I have steamdeck * replay system. Good way to verify score runs and learn techniques. See any game which has it, touhou for example. * holo house defense mode. Hordes of enemies attack your house, you use hologirls to protect it. Not sure how it will work considering lack of wall collision for fans * management change. Right now it feels useless. In late progression you can use gold builds to collect millions in 30 minutes. In midgame you can fish. In early game you have no xp to buy proper workers. When you have, micromanage them is a chore. I have no idea how it can be fixed. Turned into incremental game perhaps where you send them to quests. Or make "pvp" arena where pets fight against teams of other player with you having no control (see super auto pets or elona) * holo fortress. Dwarf fortress mode. Build, fence off, explore world map. Ok, last two ideas are bonkers. As it's basically new games * tea party. See three houses. Alternative sink for food and fish. Or you can fight in the end against guests. * pokeholo. Catch and summon ai controlled (like bubba) wild hologirls. * holocure izakaya. See touhou mystia izakaya. We already have necessary elements - food, rhythm game, money, so it's less crazy than holo fortress * vtuber union! Unionize holocure, vshoujo, indies, etc. Basically half of my wishes are turn it into some other game, particularly Elona. But with vtubers
Yeah, Kay-Yu has a small team that works with him. Of course he also has a job as an animator so he's VERY busy. I've been playing since they launched the game back in 2021, we usually get about 2 updates per year. Next update will probably be JP Gen 3 and 4 which is another 10 characters(hopefully), as well as the mentioned Usada Casino in the Holo House area. So we don't get LOTS of updates, but the updates have LOTS of content. But yeah considering we just had 5 new girls just join in the EN branch, and another 5 new JP girls from another new branch joining soon, and they'll keep adding new talents, expect updates for this game until Kay-Yu gets tired of it or Hololive goes under.
Highly likely 10 characters. However, gen 5 will likely have 4. She never got enough time to develop properly, or if she is there she will be like AZKi. Abilities focused too much on her character.
+random shop appear midgame, can buy weapons, items, stamps, anvils, etc +Boss Rush: A stage with randomized boss +Custom Stage: customized your own playthrough, choose your own stage, music, difficulty, buffs and debuffs +Holotown: more than just a house, can place lots of unique buildings, other ai char can buy your food, can go broke from your casino, etc +True Endless: no more yagoo at 30mnt, spawn pattern goes back from minute 0 but with more reinforcements.
Unless something DRASTIC happens, he's still determined to add all of Holopro's talents. It will definitely be at least 4 to 6 months, if the last year of updates are to go by.....not counting any out of nowhere features that take significant time. Vampire Survivors has a shopkeep option in-level, with him mostly only selling the joke weapons, 1 Golden Egg per run (permanent minuscule stat bump for each one), and a revive every 30 min on Endless (which is TRUE endless). It could definitely work in Holocure (and preferably a bit different). It would be interesting for a true Endless mode too, though I probably wouldn't use it. Quests aren't necessarily a bad idea, but there complexity/uniqueness would definitely be a limiting factor, even though Kay DOES have a small team helping him now. Randomly generated ones are an option but obviously don't have much appeal and limited replayability. There is only one TIME MODE stage currently, but I can see future additions here have some additional restrictions (or else it's just adding more the kill objective). Not quite quests, but at least more optional challenges, though I guess the regular shop give you many optional restrictions now. The one aspect of VS that Holocure can't really replicate (at least to the extent of VS) is secrets. While secret bones stages may be possible, I doubt it.
Didn’t know Kay had a small team already but that’s great to hear and I’m not really rushed for new content. Just knowing there’s more to come is always good to hear
Quests is just the achievements. Sure they could add more random "quests" in it. Stat modifying challenges is just the upgrade shop. You can add/remove stats there. Removing heals to make healing characters useless is an interesting option, but then there's the one hit kill already and characters with hit negation on cool downs like fubuki for runs where you don't depend on heal tanking if you want that challenge. An in game shop that sells items in exchange for coins is an interesting idea. But then again, coins is so inconsequential after upgrading everything that you're in the point of complaining about more use for coins, a shop with 3 items that costs coins might as well be a random box with 3 items in it.
Holohouse on top of being a new chill game mode is basically serving as the foundation for further money sinks. As long as new furniture and further house expansions get added to the mode than coins will always have a use outside the upgrade shop. Theirs also the upcoming Usada Casino which opens up more uses for coins like using them in the Casino games or exchanging them for special prizes. Kay apparently has a lot of ideas for Holohouse and I'm guessing a lot of them involve making use of coins so they don't feel pointless.
I don’t personally dabble in Holohouse too much but I understand that’s something where any players would use their coins for. As someone who plays more main game and doesn’t play holohouse too often though I just want more uses for holocoins so they feel a little more transferable between runs if that makes sense
@ricoanmf I feel like a neat idea would be expanding the Enchantment system than. Funny enough Minecraft probably has a good example of this where you can upgrade/find higher tiers of Enchantments up to a max of level 5. Taking the mid level "shop system" you suggested maybe make it tied to the Enchantment system and theirs a chance that instead of an Anvil an Enchantment table drops and you can upgrade the Enchantments of weapons there but at increasingly higher prices per upgrade level. Also could be neat that at Enchantment tables you could give exclusive Enchantments to items also with their own exclusive effects compared to weapons such as damage reduction, damage reflection, added utility effect like speed or pickup range, increase health, etc.
I like your 3rd idea, "shop" during runs. Maybe every 5mins in a run a shop will open and will let you purchase weapons or items or maybe more stats or maybe even a super item. Or what if in minute 25 in endless mode you get to purchase an item or something that costs ridiculous amount of coins but in exchange you'll get an extra item/weapon slot or something special idk Is that too powerful? Probably. But it'll make endless mode more interesting instead of just leveling stats.
A randomized difficulty modifier mode or something like Eclipse could definitely be a fun new mode. For example in Stage Select theirs a 4th new mode like what you said something like say (Hallucination, Cursed Stage, etc) and at the start or at certain time intervals you roll for a random modifer like increased enemy stats, all enemies now fire projectiles, double bosses, increased stage hazards, increased enemy buffers/healers, etc
Maybe you can use the fans you hired as support in runs. With certain fans giving certain buffs to you or as a support unit like bubba or friend. And with special effects if you use the matching fan to your character. Something to give them more use than just a gold farm (where more efficient ways already exist).

I think dev will add pretty cool things in 0.7 though. But I really like your idea about the in-run Vendor. It would be so cool, man...

Who knows, Kay might seen this and get the suggestions 👀
Hear me out, add a dating sim and the fans will go crazy over this game
Like I mentioned adding some sort of visual novel scenario for each vtuber may get people even more attached and invested into them
Doubtful. Many vtubers consider shipping themselves cringe.
@@etopowertwon yet the fans love to do it, and it works.
