@@GateKeeper36 Possibly...Still, when you start researching Missing cases you come to see how little time and effort has been put in to a search in so many of these cases. There are tens of thousands of them from all around the world, it's a real epidemic. But obviously, each case is its own, and who knows the motivation in this case , it very well could be racism. Then again, it could be as mysterious as a lot of the Missing 411 cases.
zadose So black and Brown people. Unless of course they are high profiled/celebs. One of the parents is/was a Uni professor? So even with that clout, it still wasn’t given any push to investigate. Canada is notorious for its lack of care concerning Indigenous missing people.
This is heartbreaking and I cannot believe that this has gotten so little attention. The only other video I could find was of his poor father reaching out. I hope this video renews interest in the case.
unbelievable in this day and age that the police still could seemingly care less about what they do for a living ...you dont want to do the job right then leave ..why should people pay this high a price because you do not care or can't be bothered..
@@Gigivvvv Exactly. And speaking of paying, what the hell are the people paying for, through taxes that go to pay the police officers' pay checks. Why pay for a half ass service? The people support and pay for the protection, help and justice that police officers are supposed to offer and provide. But too many times, they fail to come through on their end of the bargain. It's too bad that people can't just go and hire a different police department, or police force, if the one that they are doing business with (So to speak.), aren't meeting expectations or doing what the people thought they ought to be doing. What the people expected to get for their money. No point in paying for something that isnt going to do you any good or be of any help. I realize not all cases are handled like this. And not all police departments handle cases in this careless manner. But in situations where a certain police department starts to show a pattern of not giving a shit, people should be able to get new officers and investigators. Or if a case is handled like this, and the people feel as if the police force are not giving the case it's due attention and time, they should have the option to bring in officers from another city or town. I know, it's far fetched. It would likely have too many issues and problems, to be able to actually work or be smoothly implemented. But it would be nice if the people did have other options to choose from, when it comes to something they are paying for and don't feel like they are getting their money's worth. I really hope they keep this case open until it is solved. Hopefully they dont just shelve it soon, with the rest of the cold cases. Aju's family deserve some answers and closure. Aju deserves to be found and to have justice. This is most definitely going to be a case that I keep an eye on for updates over the next few month's or years.
@@kari7403 hopefully the update is not a bad one...and that idea of a "different"force for some is a great idea... people go into careers for the wrong reasons...that is part of the problem..OR they need a vacation ... either way no one should have to unduly suffer because of it..weed out the bad seeds..or ship them to an area of the force that they would be better suited for..
This is exactly.how I feel I have approached a Crime You tuber to cover this.. if not I will do it myself. I'm desperate for this case to get attention 🙏🙏🙏
I feel like they must have retaliated against him for quitting the job abruptly. I doubt he would get lost out there if he jogs those roads every day he would know his way around. I also feel like a random person didn't get the drop on him in a foul play scenario due to his physical strength and capabilities. I really feel like it was retaliation for him quitting. It's a shame and I hope they get some justice for him soon. This is so messed up!
I disagree. Different parts of the woods can look the same. People become disorientated very easily even in areas they frequent. If he was angry it is possible he walked off to blow some steam.
@zadose anything is possible but it seems unlikely to me with his level of physical fitness. Also you have to think about the odds of someone having an accident in their body not being found what people are searching in the area. Usually the people who are not found or people who have been willfully concealed by someone else..not people who died accidentally. But, anything's possible.
This case is absolutely horrific. Had there been any of the interventions usually taken in a missing persons investigation at the time, this could have had a completely different outcome. And I cannot believe the family’s legitimate concerns about safety practices with student employees have been disregarded - university or not, they’re still practically kids, and their employers have a duty of care! Thank you for bringing this relatively obscure case to the light again. You do such a great job of this.
It's heartbreaking. The police in this case should be ashamed. Maybe the family can take up a collection and hire private investigators. I feel so bad for his family.
@Nightmare Nightmare TRUTH! Although up north most of the racist bullshit is saved up for Indigenous Canadians, the cops are mainly all white-bread bigots. I don't trust the OPP, and I'm white!
This angers me so much. Imagine going to the cops and having reasonable suspicions that your son was involved in foul play and watching them not give a shit.
@Lon Hixson Prove it.. You're pulling crap out of the air by saying most or all cops are corrupt. You're just repeating what's already been said by other's. Of course there's corruption, but people capturing bad practices from a cop on video isn't proof of all being corrupt. Of course if you show mostly bad experiences, then people like you are going to think all cops are corrupt. People only look for the bad, not the good.
m o u t h f e e l of course they don't give a shit, they're cops. Why would they investigate this and actually do their jobs when they could just harass innocent civilians?
Kamisa no it's not, not at all. Even a so-called "good cop" will stand idly by while the cop next to him falsifies arrest documents, needlessly beats someone already in handcuffs, or shoots an unarmed teenager. When a cop is willing to not only stand by while this shit happens, but lie themselves to protect the obviously corrupt cop, they are just as bad as the "crooked" cop. And in reality, I have yet to see one single cop stand up and do the right thing in that type of situation. And then you have their supervisors and the court systems who not only flat out refuse to hold these officers accountable for their actions, but they are generally rewarded with a paid vacation (read "paid administrative leave") at the expense of the same taxpayers they are regularly abusing.
This case is heartbreaking. Aju had worked so hard to make his life better and obviously grew up to be a caring young man. It saddens me to say it but I think someone did him harm. Very sad for his family. Thank you Heavy Casefiles for bringing much needed attention to Aju's case.
@@tunalagos2173 ... Really?? You need to pay attention. She gives the date AND all the information to figure out the time of his so called disappearance. If you guys are trying to discredit her and this site, please stop.
Never heard of this case , thanks again for another video with original content. Such a sad situation to lose a loved one & not know what happened or why.
I think someone came along and offered him a ride out, and killed him. It's also very possible that he got into a physical altercation with someone from the company and they covered up his death.
The woods in Northern Ontario aren't the safest place in the world. If he wandered away from the worksite, it's an easy area to get lost in, and even in the summer the nights can get damn cold. The wildlife in that area shouldn't be underestimated either - the bears *will* attack, especially in the summer if you startle a mother with cubs, and there are both pumas and bobcats that are big enough and mean enough to take down a full grown deer. Hell, even the mosquitos and blackflies are almost big and mean enough to kill a person...
@@zj2707 please look into Missing 411 on TH-cam. There are people who disappear without a trace in the woods and no foul play or animal attacks are associated with their disappearance. It is eerie.
Images of my boss totally took over when Aju was supposedly asked to replant the seedlings. I would've probably quit too. The supervisor should've supervised the planting in the first place. They didn't even talk to the supervisor until over a year later, really. Something's is up with this case. Hopefully someone that was at the site will step forward one day .
Well the "authorities" certainly mishandled that investigation. Of course he didn't "wander off into the woods" - why would he? Foul play involved for sure. By the way, the background music is lovely - thanks for showing the source. Nice job once again!
There is just as much evidence to suggest he walked off as there is to believe some type of crime/cover up was committed... Too many witnesses at the site for me to personally believe something bad happened to him there, too many witnesses that could say something. The most likely scenario is he walked off (why listen to the supervisor you don't respect and want to be away from) and got lost. As his stamina was above average I believe he could have ended up far off and his body has not yet been found. Not everything and anything is corrupted in this world, I feel that you think differently seeing you put authorities in quotations lol
@@opalgoon6154 putting authorities in quotation marks is appropriate in this instance - that's a very odd thing to notice and then make assumptions about. The police mishandled the case, period. Whether it was foul play or an accident/animal, the police messed up and half assed an investigation, which in this case kind of makes them look like a joke. I believe this man's body could have easily been found by now through regular searches and consistent interviews with witnesses.
18 Mile "jog" each day BEFORE starting a Labor intensive day in the woods as if he's going down the block for smokes and a Pepsi! Fetching water for the elderly and ill of his fathers village - WoW this was a good dude. He CONTINUES to Deserve BETTER than the Lackluster Performance of the Ontario Provincial Police in the Missing Persons Case. I still love you Canada but I'm incredibly disappointed - expected better from you.
@Spoton I am sorry you had a bad experience, but that still doesn't justify what you said. It doesn't mean all of CANADA is to blame for your bad experience!
He was either murdered by his coworkers, picked up by another driver along the logging road or he could be another person to add to the list of folks that go missing in national parks. If he was murdered by coworkers, I would assume they'd all be in on it. Even if they were all scattered some distance from one another, he was a big guy and in a wooded terrain someone would have to help move him. They'd have to find a place to hide his body well enough to avoid being found by searchers. If the argument he had with his supervisor was about the quality of his work, whoever was moving his body would've fallen behind on their work and the others would've noticed it. They also reached out for help to find him in a short amount of time and that would seem to suggest they were either sincere in their efforts to find him or they had all worked together to hide his body. What would've been their motives? Accidental homicide due to a heated argument? Straight up murder because they didn't like him? If he was picked up by someone else, I would assume it would've been someone he was at least acquainted with. He wasn't a stupid man so why would he get in a vehicle with someone he didn't know while out in a deep area of woods when he had to wait just a bit longer to ride with people he knew and trusted? It is possible but it would've been a random, opportunistic crime with robbery as the possible motive. Maybe. The disappearances in national parks theory works in this situation even if it happened in a deep section of woods rather than a national park. 1. He was intelligent and studying engineering. 2. He'd been to the area multiple times before and was at least somewhat, familiar with the terrain. 3. He'd been seen waiting for the rest of the crew for several hours, then simply disappeared. Strange and heartbreaking disappearance of a young man who seemed to have a lot of potential. I hope the family will one day have answers.
@zadose I agree with you on all those points. I was simply listing the things I picked up on that fell into the some of the similarities to the victim profiles pointed out by David Paulides research. I have found his research to be very interesting. I've started to watch some of Rusty West's videos but the ones I've started to listen to have been very much like podcast stuff and I'm not one for podcasts. If you know of any videos that aren't just the audio with random nature shots, I'd love to know which ones they are. Like I said, I really do find these cases interesting. Thanks for mentioning those things. Just because there are similarities to the national parks missing person cases doesn't mean that this is the case here. There are many different factors that could be making the case complex. These were just my generalized ideas. Nevertheless, I really do hope his family gets answers someday.
@@janeE011 A couple of thoughts come to mind. Perhaps he was taken at gun point or perhaps a bear chased him and at that time his belongings were the last things he was concerned about.
Concerning his belongings, they may have been left behind on purpose. He may have left them behind believing that in doing so he was leaving a clue as to what happened to him. Then again, it may have simply been an oversight by others or something left behind as he tried to flee. Just really hard to say for sure.
Definitely foul play. If Aju walked out of the planting area he would of walked the road and collected his documents & personal effects. Something about the job supervisor and the arguments.
@To Release is To Resolve And your speculating by saying that foul play didnt happened. Right?? How in the world would you know if it didnt or it did? Do you have evidence?
I live in Ontario. I believe there is foul play in this case. what about the supervisor ? He should have dealt with the situation better. Not as much Aja. No one cared enough to do a proper search. ThenOPP did a disservice to Aja and his family. Maybe a cover up?
I hope they recover his remains for his family to get some closure...I know the unanswered questions have to be torture I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy
FanGirl ForReal I'm thinking he got impatient waiting in his bad mood and decided to walk the way back but probably got attacked and eaten by a bear or some other apex predator
That's crap. Why isn't Canada looking at the damned elephant in the room, the supervisor he was arguing with not once, but twice took Aju out....he's there in those woods, buried.
Ken Allan Dronsfield nah, that's too obvious. He was taken by sasquatch. Canada won't look into it because then they would have to admit bigfoot is real.....
Ken Allan Dronsfield but yeah, he is definitely out in those woods, the question is did the bigfoots eat him? Or adopt him...... Sorry, I'm watching this at 3:30 in the morning....
Oh my gosh, that is terrible! I believe wholeheartedly that Aju's disappearance is tied to the supervisors from the company and their disagreement. I am inclined to believe the notes of the supervisors were invented in order to throw suspicion in another direction - the fact that no search was conducted, no evidence collected, and no photos were taken of the work area supports that idea. One cannot prosecute based on non-existent evidence. RIP Aju; you didn't deserve what happened to you. I'm sorry for his family - they will probably never have the answers they deserve.
I just love your voice. It's perfect for this kind of video. Thank you for covering these stories very sad yet interesting keep up the wotk!!! Bless you! 😘
I lived in North Bay years ago. Northern Ontario is a vast wilderness. He likely started walking and got lost. He would not be the first to get lost and never seen again and won't be the last, sadly.
Shawn T People have stepped off their path into woods to potty and gotten lost. It sounds crazy but it happens. They become disoriented, turned around and start walking deeper into woods further away from their path. I’m not saying that happened here but it absolutely happens all the time.
Did they really not check the phone records of his supervisor?? Of course he met with foul play. No way he would have "wandered off into the woods"! Why would he?? Even if he decided to walk back to camp, he would have used the road... Quit downplaying the obvious.
Maybe I'm jaded, but it sounds to me like the new foreman took an instant dislike to him. That makes her my #1 suspect. That boy was murdered and I'd lay odds that she had something to do with it.
There has been plenty of reporting at least here in BC about these "work camp" companies abusing the rights of the workers such as holding their passports and not providing basic life needs. I think if this were the case at this site Aju seems unlikely to have tolerated that situation quietly.
Thank you for your intelligent, clear and thorough narration. And also thank you for bringing to light a case that probably many of us have never heard of. I certainly hadn’t. It seems unforgivable to me that the police did not interview that supervisor immediately. Once they had learned of an argument it seems as though that interview should’ve been the first interview they did. I understand that mistakes can be made but this certainly smacks of cover up to me.
This sounds eerily like a Missing 411 case... In forest, no clues, case closed after only one week of searching... I wonder how the dogs reacted when trying to follow his scent.
i thought the same thing. but at the same time, the way the police "investigated" this case is suspect as hell. He's a foreigner to Canada and he's black, that spells trouble to me

He was killed by his supervisor and maybe others in the company that day. It could have been accidental during the heat of an argument, or maybe even intentional. That seems to be what happened. And they knew the woods well enough to hide a body where it will not be found. Very sad, and it's a shame he ever left Nigeria. He was much happier there and would still be alive.
WONDERFUL! Thank you so much for spreading the word about Aju!! I'm sure you probably get attached to all these families too--having to investigate the cases so I have whispered a prayer for you too. It is suspicious, in your gut and plus knowing human natures ugly side of jealousy is frustrating! It would anger me, a movie would be good to give this scenario to public.

Why there are so many cases mishandled by the OPP? My heart breaks for Aju’s family. May they find peace one day. Thank you bringing these stories to our attention and bringing exposure to those that are not spoken about more.
This is really good! Very detailed and well spoken! Great balance of background music and your voice. I enjoyed your digging deeper into the evidence provided and how it could be suspect. Keep up the great work
Seems like a smart, determined, hard working young man who loved his family very much. Something terrible happened to him. I hope his family finds him and gets justice. This is just a shame and so sad.
I have no idea what happened to Aju and no theories.... but honestly after watching this I’m struck by what a good man he was. Everything about him suggests that he was an incredible, strong person with a wonderful personality. It’s so sad that something awful obviously happened to him. It’s so clear that his family cared about him so much... it’s just tragic all around.
I just watched a video about people who disappear mysteriously in national parks and this hits a lot of those points, but he also could have killed by a coworker and buried in the forest. From the time he disappeared to the time the cops got there is a long time, I assume that since trees were being planted, there were plenty of tools around one could have used to dig a deep grave.
Heartbreaking. I don’t believe he met with foul play. It seems very likely he became angry over the wait and decided to walk back by himself. He used exercise to control his anger and may have left after waiting for a fairly long time because he knew the transport vehicles would eventually come by and pick him up. I think he encountered a wild animal.

Ive only recently come across this story which saddens me. I tree planted for A&M in 2009 n If I had known about this back then I would have been compelled to do some digging. Here’s my experiences. There was certainly layers of stink at times, shifty “Crewleaders” who were just 3rd or 4th year planters or “vets” (veterans). I don’t want to talk down tho, met some amazing people and some of them were vets. That said tho some of these individuals were out of their minds. My crew leader Jack Pearson and I got into a fight (over having to replant trees (They make you replant if they aren’t ready to move into new land / don’t have the trees to supply you with.. while excusing it as pour planting on your end. And you only get payed for the trees you plant.. around 8 cents a tree… So if you get stuck replanting your making no money… which is extremely frustrating… )), as the fight escalated my crew leader Jack told me to swing at him. He could tell I was hot so then told me to swing my shovel at him, clearly looking to get me fired or excusing himself to try n really mess me up. The awkward big dick contest ended in him walking away and me sitting on my hard hat to pack my pipe and chill (just another day). I made it through that season requesting to be moved to another crew several times which was always denied, no one wanted to be on my crew (mostly rookies with a couple of vets) because there was clearly the good Crew leaders and the other guys. I recently read that Jack crashed the crew bus off road into a giant boulder the year before my arrival because his girlfriend was distracting him, they didn’t see enough of a need to replace him even after endangering lives. I made strong bonds with my crew members and we got through it together. Admittedly I’ve been a problem child in the past, and I think I summed up my overall negative experiences with A&M (specifically my crewleader) to that lost youth mentality and disconnection with authority, especially having it come from egotistic supervisors or persons of “authority”. We got through a forest fire together after lightning struck a tree near our camp. We just packed things up for a potential evacuation while the vets grabbed water backpacks and drove off to spray. We had a bear break into our foodstorage while we were all in town gathering supplies, this ended in our manager Chris staking out near the tree line with a bucket of peanut butter (maybe honey?) and his shotgun. That bear was literally sprinting around camp taking shell after shell. Eventually he was downed and we had services arrive and take the corpse out of camp in the back of a truck. There were frequent bear encounters with some of the vets stating if a bear charged you to stand you’re ground and hold your shovel over your head to make yourself look big while yelling and trying to intimidate it. Essentially if you turned your back n ran, you were done. Needless to say it was an epic summer experience that pushed me and my pals to rise up above the circumstances and do our best to get through it. I don’t doubt Aju had a similar “don’t get those in the city’ moments and that’s what called him back to the bush. What worries me after digesting this is the lack of transparency with those involved. A&M’s inability to follow through with documents regarding that years work team list (names etc). You’d think that kind of information would be the starting point as far as getting statements and follow up analysis goes. This is disturbing. If Aju had experiences like mine then it worries me his supervisors weren’t properly looked into. Aju was too smart to “walk off” the site. You just know its something you shouldn’t do. I hope and pray for the family, the truth will surface. Thank you for making this video, very informative on a topic and I find myself very invested in and will also be making content to raise awareness. Peace and Love

First of all I love this man's first name, Aju. I've never heard it before but it's beautiful. Second of all he seemed like someone who was a bit troubled but trying hard to improve himself. I think he was most likely a beautiful person inside and just needed time to mature. I have so much sympathy for him and his family. I think he was killed at the work site and either buried there, shoved through a wood chipper, or moved by car to another location to have his body dumped. The thought of any of those scenarios kills me inside but unfortunately I don't think he ran away to start a new life. I don't think he wandered off and got lost and I don't think he hitch hiked and met up with foul play. At any rate, I hope the police pull their fingers out and find the truth. Aju and his family deserve justice.
I dont think people really get how vast forests can be. Searchers miss bodies out there all the time. I wouldn't be suprised if he died in the elements trying to walk back and just hasn't been found. Its morbid to say but I wouldn't be suprised if a bone or something may be found down the line.
great job, as always, on this video. I hope Aju adn his family find some peace. He sounded like a great person. I can't believe they waited a year to interview his supervisor??? WTH.
This is a really great analysis of this case, and as usual, it's one I have never heard of. I have seen criticism of the OPP in other places too, but this wasn't investigated at all! Aju seemed to be a focused, clever man, realising what is best for himself, so I sadly agree with his parents, Aju is no longer alive, something happened with the company people...
I think he went deep into the forest to do his business and was dragged away by a bear. It was spring so bears are hungry after sleeping all winter (hibernation). Sad.
The supervisor was a woman (at 12:13 you say "she claims not to have argued..."). I doubt a woman would have killed this strong, aggressive young man. He was probably eaten by a bear while he was waiting by the side of the road.

@@Gigivvvv Thank you! I didn't see or hear anything in this video, that would suggest that race played any part in this tragic case. This case is heart breaking enough as is. And I feel that Aju deserves to be seen for who he is. And to turn this into a thing about race, I feel, would partly take away the attention from Aju himself, as a human being, and his case. The race issue would over shadow his tragic disappearance as well as his accomplishments. It would be much more beneficial and respectful, in my opinion, to simply focus on Aju as the man he was, and the actual facts of the case. Not some speculation that could cause more hate, more arguments and more unneccassary heart ach. To turn it into a race thing, when there is no evidence offered to suggest that this is so, is not needed. You're right. His family needs and deserves answers and justice. Not a chaotic storm of a race battle. If I had a child who disappeared in a similar situation, I would much rather focus all my attention and energy on finding answers and getting the police to help get those answers. The last thing I would want, is the distraction of dealing with the race issue. I'm not saying that crimes aren't covered up or commited because of someone's race. And yes, police do often profile non white people to pull over or accuse themof crimes they are innocent of. But I don't think that has anything to do with this case. Not every case that involves a person of color, is a case caused because of racism. And yes, white people get screwed over, neglected and mistreated by police also. Police botch solving crimes committed against people of all races.

i remember when this happened.i was at a camp north west and we heard it happened, companies have to now take planters back to camp and to the nearest town when they quit. the path to the block is now clearly indicated by flagging tape when a fork or intersection comes up. ive been in situations where driving to some of the sites and getting lost for hours there is so many spurs and off shoots of roads that can go on for miles. the argument between the foreman is irrelevant, that one takes place quite often when it comes to quality of planted trees
I still cannot stop thinking about Aju's case. I feel he was killed and there was this big standard investigation. If there even was one... there needs to be justice. I cant find anything on this case... It needs to be re-investigated for certain. My heart breaks for his family... 💔🙏
After walking many miles, he became hopelessly lost. He most likely wasn't anywhere near the search area and finally succumbed to the cold, spring weather after a few days.
Obviously he was murdered and buried there, and it's horrific how the Ontario police handled this situation. 1) No one would wait 4 hours and then suddenly decide to leave on foot as it's getting close to dark. 2) No one would go cross country through the wilderness instead of staying on the road. The road led exactly where he wanted to go (base camp). 3) That area is incredibly remote and he knew that very well, so there would be no reason to expect a motorist to come along to give him a ride if he went partway on foot. And accordingly, the odds that a motorist DID come along and give him a ride are virtually zero. 4) No one disappears voluntarily without his wallet and passports and never touches their bank accounts ever again. A terribly sad story, and it's just unbelievable that the police did such a shitty job in the first place AND refuse to re-open an investigation. Those poor parents.
Excellent job by the way. Since you’re doing cases in northern Ontario, check out the one of the missing girl from Rainbow falls, campground. She was from Toronto I believe but was going to school I think in Thunder Bay. Keep up the good work 👍🏾
I think that he was very angry and decided not to wait, believing that he could walk back to town but got lost. He may have fallen into a crevice that he could not escape. I at 1st thought that there was foul play but it sounded like the ex-bosses & others mounted a really large search. It's tragic that they could not find him.
@zadose, it must be so difficult for you to be inconvenienced with hearing about prejudice that you yourself don’t experience. My heart breaks for you.
@zadose I'm white and grew up in a mixed household(white and black) I've seen racism against my family numerous times in my young life and I have to say this is a huge factor and something I thought immediately. Rural, majority white Canadian back country....seems like a prime place for that to happen. Of course not all people are racist but there is a low number of Africans there, people fear what they don't know or understand.
Never heard of this case. Thank you for covering this. Given Aju’s build & endurance, I feel more than 1 person was involved in his disappearance. Otherwise, the other possibility is he was approached & shot by 1 person. 😔Sounds like a “cover up” either way. Poor parents 💔
Hundreds of people go missing in Canadian forests. That's why it wasn't investigated more. We are missing thousands of people who have gone missing over the last 200 years.
Aju sounds like a good person, it’s a shame if something bad has happen to him, he had a lot of potential. Not everyone can see when and where something needs to change for the better.
I treeplanted in northern Ontario, around the same area as him, in 2001. Long, lonely stretches of highway with no one around. I wonder if he was the victim of a hit-and-run. Perhaps he tried to hitchhike and was not seen in the dark. That could explain why he left all his gear by the side of the road. The perpetrator could have taken the body to any location, dragged it into the woods and taken off.
Poor Aju. He was probably killed by his Supervisor & co-worker's after the argument with his Supervisor. Aju was probably buried in the endless woods somewhere and the police ARE covering it up. This was surely foul play I think. Somebody surely knows what happened to Aju ! I hope his parent's can get justice and some closure as well. Thanks for the upload.
A beautiful, intelligent young man with everything to look forward to in life and then vanishes? Ummm, something untoward happened to him. I feel for his family. Sad 😔
The handling of this case is one of the saddest aspects of this entire scenario.
Appalling !!

Totally agree. Racist forman 'teaching him a lesson'. Shameful

@Nightmare Nightmare TRUTH! Although up north most of the racist bullshit is saved up for Indigenous Canadians, the cops are mainly all white-bread bigots. I don't trust the OPP, and I'm white!
Nightmare Nightmare you nasty little racist.
This angers me so much. Imagine going to the cops and having reasonable suspicions that your son was involved in foul play and watching them not give a shit.
@Lon Hixson That's a stretch to say most are currupt.
@@TheMattc999 That just proves some cops are corrupt. It doesn't prove all cops are corrupt

Such a sad situation to lose a loved one & not know what happened or why.
He never left the woods.
How do you know? Did they use dogs in the area? Did they ship him off in a truck and now he's a sex slave? We have no idea.
@@zj2707 I don't know, never said that I did. It is simply my opinion, to which I am entitled.
Especially as the supervisor changed her story.
How can a whole bunch of people say nothing. Someone must speak up.

Why would he take a ride w someone and leave his belongings?
@@janeE011 A couple of thoughts come to mind. Perhaps he was taken at gun point or perhaps a bear chased him and at that time his belongings were the last things he was concerned about.
But if he got into someone's car he wouldn't leave his rucksack etc which they found left behind.
Concerning his belongings, they may have been left behind on purpose. He may have left them behind believing that in doing so he was leaving a clue as to what happened to him.
Then again, it may have simply been an oversight by others or something left behind as he tried to flee. Just really hard to say for sure.

He's a person of color. Canada has a history of not giving a care what happens to anyone that isn't white. Look at how they treat indigenous people?
It would have been very difficult for a female supervisor to take out an athletic young male and drag his corpse off into the woods.

Yea, those workers killed him...
All those workers killed him? Wow
@@yeshuaischrist9951 oh excuse me let me re word so you can understand what I meant...one two or several of the workers killed him and covered it up. You get it now?
@@BooThing14 I agree...no one else out there but these guys saying "yah...we saw him..seemed happy to be waiting around all day for a ride with a boss that now claims to have NEVER argued with him at all...so yah..look the other way guys wasn't us..." geez were these a bunch of rookies??? wonder why police come under scrutiny so much... hope this family generates enough press to have them morons do their job like they should have YEARS ago
@Nightmare Nightmare yah but unfortunately...these people may need their jobs...or have no alternative...some tend to be illegals that can be threatened .... i know it might seem like a far stretch but heads of business look the other way when labor is cheap...
Agreed. He may have thought he knew how to get back to where he was waiting, but it's so easy to lose your sense of direction in these forests.
Wow thank you for covering this case! I'm from Ontario and I've never even heard of him.
great job, as always, on this video.
Sad.
David Meyers why do you think the supervisor lied about not having an argument with him the day he disappeared?
This is heartbreaking. I can't help but think this young man would be safe had someone just taken him to the camp immediately. His poor family.
The supervisor was a woman (at 12:13 you say "she claims not to have argued..."). I doubt a woman would have killed this strong, aggressive young man. He was probably eaten by a bear while he was waiting by the side of the road.
Stop that ridiculous talk, it simply wont work with the conspiracy theorists.
Poor guy...
And his poor parents 😢
No way I’d work such a remote job.. no way! Ive read of tooooo many disappearances in the remote woods... logging roads in Canada.. .. Terrence Woods of Baltimore has been missing in remote Idaho since 2018.... his disappearance is odd too.. strange... that
Did I miss what year this happened? Poor guy. Wonder if he hitchhiked and got into the wrong vehicle.
when you think about the kinds of people that work at tree planting its amazing they didnt check out each and everyone of there workers. the police in that area doesnt want to investigate younger white people because of a young black guy, to police and those others , he is black and deserves what he gets, sounded like he was being picked on , different crown from that last one, it must have been horrible to suddenly be treated like dirt from his new superior , and the guy/girl now bossing him around and telling him his work isnt good enough was looking forward to a whole summer of making this young man suffer and have an all round horrible experience. i also get the feeling that someone in that crew was jealous of his situation in life and how hard of a worker he was, came from another country, not afraid to work hard, awesome family life . someone was jealous and didnt like black ppl living a good life, hope this young man gets some justice and his family find some kind of closure, hurts my heart for his mother , from another mother
stop with the race..THIS MAN WAS AN AMAZING YOUNG MAN FROM WHAT I KNOW...people that do this job are NOT just white..and the fact remains that this was mishandled by some officers that may have been of color as well...this whole case was handled WRONG this family needs justice...white folks get sh@t results from cops too..believe me I KNOW...the only race that counts is the HUMAN RACE and this young man deserves better..
@@kari7403 you got that right...hope the family is able to get more publicity through this forum and hopefully some one comes forward ...
@@native_beauty1340 that happens where YOU are from. He was lost in Canada. And no cop shot him. And you said that "racism is getting shoved in our throats"... who is it that keeps pulling out the race card? YOU! You see racism everywhere because you LOOK for it Just as you are now! YOU are shoving racism down our throats. When I look at people I dont see colour. I just see people. And I am not alone in this. Quit trying to make me a racist.
Randy Lin right right keep thinking that. As our people and many others have and do to this get treated poorly and it isn’t because of our attitudes dumbass it’s because of others people’s ignorance like yourself. Treated poorly looked down upon for our skin color and ethnicity I get called all kinds of things by people.
i remember when this happened.i was at a camp north west and we heard it happened, companies have to now take planters back to camp and to the nearest town when they quit. the path to the block is now clearly indicated by flagging tape when a fork or intersection comes up. ive been in situations where driving to some of the sites and getting lost for hours there is so many spurs and off shoots of roads that can go on for miles. the argument between the foreman is irrelevant, that one takes place quite often when it comes to quality of planted trees
I still cannot stop thinking about Aju's case. I feel he was killed and there was this big standard investigation. If there even was one... there needs to be justice. I cant find anything on this case... It needs to be re-investigated for certain. My heart breaks for his family... 💔🙏
I'm heartbroken!!!! This touched me deeply I'm so sad for his family and outraged more was not done!
People seriously underestimate the possible dangers of the woods.
Keep up the good work 👍🏾
Soft vocal inflections and soothing music pair so very well with the dark cases presented...
Lotta bears in those woods. But still very bizarre.
I think that he was very angry and decided not to wait, believing that he could walk back to town but got lost. He may have fallen into a crevice that he could not escape. I at 1st thought that there was foul play but it sounded like the ex-bosses & others mounted a really large search. It's tragic that they could not find him.
The investigation was so poorly done or should we say not done at all. Is prejudice at play here?
@zadose, it must be so difficult for you to be inconvenienced with hearing about prejudice that you yourself don’t experience. My heart breaks for you.
@@rupertfloyd9994 You don't even make sense and I'm sorry for you.
@zadose Considering this happened in the 1960's to a black female, then yes, I feel prejudice might have been at play.
@Vicki Noeske, you must be illiterate
@zadose I'm white and grew up in a mixed household(white and black) I've seen racism against my family numerous times in my young life and I have to say this is a huge factor and something I thought immediately. Rural, majority white Canadian back country....seems like a prime place for that to happen. Of course not all people are racist but there is a low number of Africans there, people fear what they don't know or understand.
They killed that poor guy. Sorry, that's what this sounds like & a cover up took place 😪 good job on the research 😁
Never heard of this case. Thank you for covering this. Given Aju’s build & endurance, I feel more than 1 person was involved in his disappearance. Otherwise, the other possibility is he was approached & shot by 1 person. 😔Sounds like a “cover up” either way. Poor parents 💔
Thank you for another great vid...its always a joy to get the notification that you have uploaded a new one... :)
Great case! I've never heard of this one
Someone at that Camp Knows what happened to him...Rest In Paradise...Aju...
Great video but I have to say I miss the background music.
Me too!
A beautiful, intelligent young man with everything to look forward to in life and then vanishes? Ummm, something untoward happened to him. I feel for his family. Sad 😔
I love your channel so much!
Thanx alot for amazing videos
congratulations on reaching 20k subscribers
Sounds like he was really trying to improve himself. Maybe he got impatient waiting until 6pm and tried to walk back? Respects.
