I think an any-% speedrun protagonist would be a terrifying, amoral monster. They can see the future and break reality in bizarre ways, but are willing to sacrifice anything in the name of speed. If it's faster to auto-fail an optional objective rather than complete it, the speedrunner will kill an innocent themselves with no hesitation. They will suffer grievous injury to squeeze out a few seconds. They do impossible feats according to their alien value system. If you have this monster on your side, they will win, but your live is not worth a second's thought.
