The most speakers you can add is 2 of the same kind ( like in a stereo pair) apart from the echo gen3 and gen2 echo plus, you can also add a sub to make a 2:1 system to a 4k firestick or fire cube but you can not add an Alexa enabled sound bar.
I Just bought 2 echo dots 4th gen and tried to set them up last night. i assumed i can connect them to my new samsung 4K smart tv via blue tooth and it would be all done. but NOO! not at all. nothing is found on either end when scanning bluetooth devices. are u saying i HAVE TO BUY FIRE STICK in order to get tv sound out of my new alexa devices? thank you :)
Same, I have an Echo Studio and a 4th gen Dot and I just bought a firestick Lite to create the Home Theatre and the Dot is not being recognized.....this is SO annoying
I've purchased 2 Amazon Studios recently and I've been having the most difficult time trying to connect them to my Samsung TV, I'm assuming that just isn't possible? Can you only link the wireless Echo speakers to the Fire Stick or Fire TV Cube, but no other streaming device like Google Chromecast or Apple Tv?
After doing this pairing, I can't control the volume of Echo Dot through the Alexa app (Android) using the slider bar anymore. It simply disappeared. Is there any way to fix this?
I recently purchased two Echo Studio's and a Subwoofer. The audio is nice (i.e., bass, midrange and treble) when playing music from Amazon Music; however, whenever, I play movies, the volume is too low. I can hear the sound all around me; however, I wish it was louder. I feel like I’ve tried everything such as: • While in Home Theatre mode, the only audio setting available is Dolby Digital Plus. The PCM and Dolby Digital options are greyed out. • Under Devices of the Alexa app, I selected the Echo Studio and confirmed all three speakers are paired. I increased the volume to the max setting. • Under audio settings on my Fire TV Cube, I toggled both the Volume Leveller and Dialogue Enhancer on and off. • Under audio settings In the Alexa app, I toggled the “spatial audio” on and off. • I restarted my Fire TV Cube (even unplugging it) Have anyone else experienced low volume using the Alexa Home Theater? Is so, any suggestions on how to fix the issue? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Hi.I successfully created a home theater using a echo dot gen 3 and a firestick 4k .It worked perfectly well yesterday but suddenly tv voice stopped coming out of echo dot today although alexa is still active and is listening to my commands .What can be the cause of this problem and what is its solution
I have set a home theatre using a firestick 4k and one amazon echo dot gen 3.It works perfect. But when i set the sound format on Stereo high .My firestick gives me a notification that your echodot is experiencing problems change your audio preference format. Why do i recieve this notification and what is its solution.(I still want it to be on Stereo high)
Hey can you use a echo sub with a echo plus and a TV with alexa built in ?? Basically I have a echo plus and I'm getting a new TV with Alexa built-in and I'm thinking of getting a echo sub. Would all 3 work together when watch TV?
Setting up the Home Theater through the Alexa App with a Fire TV 4K Max and 2 x Echo Studios (L+R) was easy enough, but I have a question with the WiFi behaviour. I originally setup my Studios on my home WiFi, all was great. When I setup the Home Theater the Fire TV, the Studios changed from my home WiFi to an Amazon-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Wifi, being broadcasted from the Fire TV. I am assuming this is to improve sync with the Fire TV acting as an Access Point direct with the Studios but not certain ? Is this the expected behaviour, that the speakers in this group now belong to the Amazon-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Wifi or should all devices be on the home WiFi ? Amazon/Echo support was not able to answer this...
This is very specific to the "Home Theater Group", not to normal speaker groups / multi music... All works fine with the Home Theatre Group with the studios as described above, connected to the Fire TV Amazon-xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Wifi, just don't know if this is the expected behaviour for the setup of "Home Theatre".
Same issue! I feel like I’m going crazy. If I cannot figure this out today I will be sending my brand new 65” FireTv, echo studio and echo sub back to Amazon and ordering a real home theatre setup. Within a minute of me connecting to my 2.4ghz network it changes to AMAZON-blahblahblah. That is not even an eligible network from my router. So I don’t know if these devices are just renaming my network or what but herein lies the problem. I spent over three hours on a call with Amazon troubleshooting the issue. We went through every single process I had already tried a dozen times before calling. My FireTv always stays connected to the 2.4g network I set it up on. As for the combination of echo studio and echo sub, they connect to my 2.4g network and the. Switch to the Amazon-blah. I don’t know what that is or why they do that but it’s clearly the issue. I have deregistered my devices, removed my saved Wi-Fi networks from the preferences tab on my Amazon account and started from scratch and in order of my FireTv, studio then sub. I am able to get all three connected through Devices>plus sign top right corner>combine speakers>home theatre. On the off chance they were all on my 2.4g network, they would all three connect and go through the setup process. On my tv screen it prepares all three and tells me to enjoy a preview of this new sound experience. Most of the time the preview didn’t work. When it did it was usually one or two of the three devices working together. After the preview I would try multiple apps none of which would work with the three systems together. I would then refer to my Amazon app and I would notice there is either “network issues” next to one or both devices (studio/sub) or they would both show they were off of my network and on Amazon-blah. If all three are supposed to be on the same network idk how to keep them there when they change to this fugazi network “Amazon-blahblah”. It’s seriously so frustrating. And reading the above response from Amazon just pissed me off. He is clearly talking about advanced settings that are over the head of a typical consumer and none of which I found useful. If you figure it out please share your resolution. The original author of this post did not follow up.

Is there any way we can pair the echo studio with a soundbar like the yamaha yas 209?

Correct! Echo devices will only work with a TV if the fire stick is there to bridge the gap.
My 3 year old hisense 4k tv doesn't have Bluetooth????? My latest 4k firestick is connected to a 4th
Generation but it won't allow echo dot to be added as a home cinema when connected one device disconnects? Obviously I'm doing something wrong.😠😠😠😠😠

I was able to connect my echo by bluetooth on Apple Tv but I haven’t tried using 2
Can you add it to existing speakers you already use?
So good as always Erin
Thank you!! 😊

What if it displays “not compatible” when getting to pairing screen?
