I have absolute respect for the child's biological mother. She knew her daughter would go to a great home and get the love, attention, and care that she needed. She put her child first. She also chose life. That alone should be applauded.
My husband was adopted 73 years ago. He decided when we was 55 that he was ready to find his birth mom. We found her 2 weeks later and met her. I thanked her for bringing my husband into the world healthy. She cried when she saw him and when he told her he had a wonderful childhood with loving parents. Her father had sent her away to have the baby as he was a minister. God had a hand in the adoption thru word of mouth a baby was born that needed a family. My mother in law was unable to have a baby and it was her doctor that made the connection. My husbands aunt picked him up from the hospital the next day. My husband is a loving family man that was thankful to meet his birth mom before she passed away. Love appears when you least expect it.
I was adopted when I was a day and a half. God definitely had a hand in it. Long story short my parents took out a bank loan to get me. My adoption was private too. Shortly afterwards my dad’s friend mentioned a radio contest at the mall. If you crank the truck, you win it. Dad won the truck. He drove it across the street back to the dealership and said, I need the money, not the truck. The dealership called two days later and said they sold the truck. The amount he got was $100 shy of the loan they took out. God always has a plan and I can’t begin to tell you how immensely blessed I am. One of my favorite things growing up was my adoption story was always my bedtime story. Every birthday, up until my 35th, my grandmother would tell me the story. In the end she was diagnosed with dementia but she always remembered my story as if it happened yesterday. God has given this baby to a family that will always love and cherish her. Your family and the birth mother are in my prayers.
As a birth mom to a now 29 year old, son thank you so much for praying for your daughter's birth mom. Knowing that you are unable to care for your child is heartbreaking and an emotional experience no matter what the circumstances. Thank you for respecting her dignity and privacy as well as requesting prayers for her. Giving my son up is the hardest thing I've ever done
And bless you, Heidi for loving your baby son above all else those 29 years ago! Beautiful, Lady! What an unselfish act. I admire your strength under such heartbreaking circumstances.
Yes! Birth mama deserves all the prayers and hugs for carrying her all these months and choosing life! Not an easy thing. May the Lord bless her as she heals from the birth and moves forward in her life!❤️
A child is not a gift at all whatsoever God did place are in loving arms when she was conceived and the child was conceived by the mother and the mother love that child and carry that child for nine months what are you meant to say was the child is going into other or more loving
@@chataboutcakes She probably doesn't have the finances or resources to pay for a child. Also the couple who was going to adopt her has known Bert and Jessica for 20 years so I'm sure they told her all about them and their family and she felt comfortable with it. Better than a family not really known by anyone and just telling an agency how great they are to adopt IMO.
@@chataboutcakes It's not about the birth mother it's about what's best for the kid and who can take the best care of her. My birth mother gave me up for adoption at 10 days old and it was the best thing she could've done for me. I wouldn't have had a father otherwise. She didn't even know who my birth father was. Hello Somers family! I was given up at birth and adopted at almost 3 months old. My parents loved me more than I could ever hope for. That precious little gift from God is going to be loved and nurtured beyond comprehension! God couldn't have given her a better family! God bless you all! Much Love ❤️ from Memphis, TN 🍼👶
Her birthmother ❤ She has done something incredible for her baby girl. She has given her the chance to grow up and be a part of your amazing family. The most unselfish act of all. Prayers and genuine respect for that decision ❤❤❤

I’m in tears! Adoption is beautiful and without it, I wouldn’t have children. God bless that beautiful baby girl. What a wonderful family God has made! ❤️
As an adoptee, this warms my heart so much. I was once asked if I felt abandoned and I very quickly answered no. Friends of mine had 24 hours to prepare for their adopted baby girl's arrival and it was 2 days before Christmas. Such a special gift who has blossomed into a fine young lady. Blessings to you all.
I'll never forget our daughter's birth mom's words. She said...I love her, but I can't care for her the way she deserves, and I'm at peace knowing she is with you. To all birth moms: you are amazing, loving, selfless and a blessing. So many families are given such a gift because of you. Praying for every heart touched by this precious child. God bless you all.
I gave my son up for adoption in 1992 & it was one of the hardest most horrific things my heart ever endured. These stories always make me cry. My son just turned 30 & he found me in 2015. Our journey has just begun together, just how it started 30 years ago. Well wishes on your new journey.
You are joking it’s not like you had a choice in the matter what the vile disgusting things are going on in United States of America taking women’s rights away there’s not like you had a choice in the matter but how dare you bring this into this right now with what you should be bringing his praying for the Mum or the first Mum shall we
The mother brought this child into the world and made a great choice to let her be adopted since she was unable to care for her. It’s a wonderful thing!
That's one lucky baby to have you as parents. You have truely saved her. The decision by the birth mother to have you adopt her was very brave. That has to be one of lifes hardest decisons to make and to have the child go to such a loving environment was truely an act of God and faith.
I hope this was an open adoption because the biological mother and family made the best choice they could make under their circumstances. The biological mother chose life and the Somers stepped up and gave her a protected loving home.
I have no idea why this showed up in my feed but I’m glad it did. That message was heart felt and beautiful. You will be great parents to that precious baby!
Bless her birth mother for having the strength to hand her baby over to a loving couple. When she knew she was unable at this time in her life to be the best for you so she gave you the best.
Congrats!! I was adopted at 6 weeks old. I can hear my mom when I listen to your story. My mom wrote something in a card to me. It said "I never carried you under my heart but always in my heart" I am so happy for you guys.
I just started following your channel a week or so ago. When I came across this video I was brought to tears because I was adopted too. When I was thirteen my parents told me I was adopted, I did not care. They were my mom and dad because they raised me, provided, love and cared for me. I remember my mom told me, "It takes more love to adopt a child than to have one". God bless you and your family, just remember "Train up a child and when they get old they will not depart from it". You were destined by God to raise this beautiful baby.
It's amazing what can happen when we listen to God. I know someone that dreamed that she would be given a baby. She believed that the dream was from God. She worked in a clinic and came into contact with a grandmother who was trying to take care of her newborn grandchild and felt she wasn't able to provide. Through that contact, the woman who had the dream adopted that baby. It is amazing how things work sometimes. Congratulations! She is a beautiful blessing.
I have to tell you from my heart, this touched me. This comes from someone who was adopted, and also surrendered my first born son via a private adoption 35 years ago. My heart goes out to birth mom and I will pray for her. I know how hard this is. However knowing her child is being raised by a loving family who will celebrate her little girl's uniqueness and special way she came to you; that will comfort her in years to come (this i know). God gave you a little present that will grow into her own special personality that has a story and a heritage all her own; yet she will fit like a beautiful puzzle piece into a family that chose to love her and cherish her. Love surrounds the whole event. I just wanted to share my thoughts...It is amazing!
Wow I wish our adoption story was like this. I had horrible endometriosis and adenomyosis so I had to get a hysterectomy and get well before we could get into an adoption agency. We have been with the agency for 6 years and on the waiting list for 5 years, but finally got the call on Sept 13th, got to meet the birth mom on the 14th and our baby girl came on the 15th....we had 3 days to get in order and boom we were parents, finally.
I should share my story. I had HG and was hospitalized with all 3 of my pregnancies. I then went on to foster and adopt 4 more. My oldest is 31 and had HG with all 3 of her pregnancies. 2 months ago she was contacted by child services about a family placement of 2 additional babies. God works in miraculous ways.
GOD BLESSED you all. I was a parent at the age of 18. I was pregnant and could not afford a baby. So I did the hardest thing a mother could ever do. I put the baby up for adoption. 36 years ago I gave birth to a boy. I wish all the best to you all. And prayers goes to the biological family. Blessings and prayers for all that is involved.
Thanks for sharing your story. Happy to know you chose life and the adoption path .Hope your son grew up to be a fine young man and appreciates the gift of life Prayers to you and the adoption family. 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
My parents ostensibly believed that children are from God. They had six but then treated us as burdens. It warms my heart to see a family truly desire children, to welcome them with open, grateful arms and to cherish a little girl. My parents had been hoping for a boy with me and the disappointment was palpable my entire childhood. I genuinely had a hard time believing something like this was possible, for a family with two girls to joyously welcome a third, but clearly it is. I'm not a person of faith but I wish for blessings for your family.
My heart goes out to the biological family, but the brave and selflessness they have shown in doing the best they could for baby girl is beyond words. And for her to find you as her family, is as you said, a miracle. And I'm not a person of faith, but I will say a prayer for biological mum and family, and for you all. You are truly all a blessing in this world. Love to you all, and thank you for including us in this new journey
I thought the same thing. I hope the birth mother is showered in love, support and her grieving is replaced with a peaceful heart for her choice of families. It took courage.
Praise our Lord Jesus Christ 🙌 We serve an awesome God!!! He still in the business of miracles 💜. Can’t wait to see baby girl grow and flourish in your family. Just amazing!!!
It’s so sad sometimes when I first mums feel like they have no other choice but to do this there’s not resources there’s nothing to help them or anything like
It is WONDERFUL to see God move so powerfully for this baby girl!!! Heavenly Father has molded your family to be exactly what she needs. Thank you so very much for sharing your MIRACLE with us!!
I believe adoptions are planned in heaven before they happen on earth. I am so excited for you guys! I was adopted as a baby and grew up and became an adoptive parent! I feel beyond blessed
I given up my baby when I was 21 and I knew I was not ready to give a baby the life he deserved. But I knew in my heart it was the right thing to do! ❤
OMG, for a week I have been patiently awaiting this vlog, anxious to see your little precious miracle. Bert you made me cry with that beautiful message to your new little 👼 . Now you are blessed to have four of them! I know how busy you guys are until you get your new routine going, but please don’t keep us waiting too long for new updates. Love you guys! ❤
The Lord works in mysterious ways. 24 years ago we started our adoption journey and was expecting to wait 2 years. We were picked by a birth mom with in 6 weeks and 4 weeks later our son was born!!! God is good. I cry when I see Audrey with the baby!!
Prayers for the birth mom and everyone involved, they couldn't have chosen a more loving, caring and giving family. God definitely put all of y'all together to make this miracle happen. God bless you all.
I was adopted at the age of five because my bio mother abandoned us kids..long long ago..god bless..how fortunate that Olivia got u all as parents..I was blessed with my mom and dad .And Olivia’s bio mom gave her up willing so she could have a wonderful loving family..what a beautiful sacrifice she gave her up to go to the prefect family for her..
As my close friends & I would say..."it's a GOD thing". God saw that you & the child came together. Prayers for all of you & as you said, prayers for the birth mother.
Hi I’m adopted from birth too I was a month old when I was adopted. God was totally in my adoption process. Congratulations for your new baby ♥️🥰🥳. This video made me cry🥹🥹
I am truly happy for you! So many out there saying adoption is wrong. Trauma yes, but love and acceptance that a child needs a family and a family needs a child. End of 🙏
After having 2 sweet boys and a stillborn little girl the lord had a plan we adopted a beautiful little girl who is now a happy healthy AMAZING young woman blessings to your beautiful family.. GOD IS GOOD 🙏💞💕💖💫
When y’all were leaving the message for her, I started tearing up. I can feel the love your family has for each other through the screen. Beautiful parents. Congratulations on your new little blessing! ❤️
Congratulations from Hamilton Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. I hope this little girl will one day realize how very lucky she was to be adopted by such an incredible loving family.
This baby from the moment she got in to your arms and home must have felt so much warmth and love. Something she will feel the rest of her life. And something her body and subconsious will always remember.
“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 This verse came to mind as i’m watching this. It doesn’t matter the timing, When God says YES, it doesnt matter whether you take 2 steps or a thousand steps, if He allows, the blessing is yours! Praise God! Baby is soo adorable! ❤️ Love from Kenosha, Wisconsin
The bio Mom was probably so relieved that her child was going to a family her family knows. She can watch her grow from a distance and her bio extended family doesn't have to say goodbye forever. ❤️❤️
Congratulations ❤ As a 36yo who got pregnant at 17 and contemplated adoption this is so beautiful. I did choose to raise my daughter but adoption is so amazing. My thoughts are with the birth mother and her incredibly hard decision and the love that she had for your daughter ❤
My husband's aunt and uncle were at a concert and God spoke to him saying they were to adopt a baby from China. They immediately started the process, and brought her home when she was about 15 months old I believe it was. She now 16, and has brought such joy to the family💛 Bless you guys!!!
Adoption is so beautiful. I was adopted at 8 weeks old but I also have a daughter out there somewhere that I'm looking for because of a horrific time in my life,I placed her for Adoption. I can't think of a better family for this Lil girl to go to then yours. Did I miss her name?? Peace, love and lots of blessings to all of you
Congratulations ❤❤ I can’t even write this without crying. I wish more people would do this instead of going the other route. Life is precious and beautiful and a miracle of God.
Look how peaceful that baby is. This is such a gift for your family :). At first I thought this was the luckiest baby in the whole world. Now I realize she is a perfect gift for your entire family. This is just so fantastic!!!
My two younger sisters are both adopted. Hearing your story has reminded of the miracles we experienced when we were looking to adopt them. You guys are absolutely worthy to be her parents! Thank you for sharing this joyous event with all of us. It's an honor be able to rejoice in this blessing with you. She is absolutely beautiful!
We waited 2.5 years but our stories are so similar. Our adoption was finalized in 10 months. So I know exactly how you are feeling. I remember walking into our home with our little one in the car seat for the first time. We sat on the couch looking at her….my husband saying what do we do now…..I am like first let’s get her out of her car seat. I am not a religious person but I completely agree that’s these children were brought into our lives for a reason.
I have never seen your channel and today found it. So glad I found it! Congratulations to you all! What a gift from God! I was adopted when I was 4, my parents always said I was chosen! I met my birth parents 19 years later and can definitely see how God had a different plan for my life then had I been raised by my birth family. God knows best and definitely heard your hearts. I definitely will be praying for her birth mother and father and the families . God definitely had plans for my life and he has great plans for this sweet little, praying for you all as you adjust.
You both have been prepared and anointed for such a time as this. You are both a Godsend. Glad your sister flew in to help. You both have not stopped being parents. You’ll just continue to do what you’ve already been doing. Raising now four children to be responsible adults who add to this society. And you have the help to do it. Godspeed 🙏🏽
As someone who was adopted i can not express how lucky your new bundle is to have such an amazing, God blessed family as you all are. My prayers are being sent to the birth mother, may she live happily knowing that her daughter is in the care of amazing wonderful family. 💜🤎💙
We went to a baby shower and we left our phone number with a friend. The next morning she called and said I want you to have my baby. He’s now almost 7, the twinkle in his Granny’s eye and my daughters heart and soul. God is good.
In response to “a baby doesn’t just come to you.” It happens. Happened to us 6.5 yrs ago. We were in the process of adopting an older sibling group from Texas. 100% through foster care. Then it suddenly stopped with no answers. Our family was broken. We pulled out of the process. There was messages from GOD but we couldn’t understand the messages until we got a random phone call through multiple levels that our baby was born. We weren’t even looking to adopt a baby. Our little was in daddies arms 5 days later and travel with short notice and another kiddo we both couldn’t go. Mom and brother had to dismantle a room for tweens to a nursery in a matter of days. Ironically the day our placement stopped was 10 months exactly to daughters bday and my sons vbs show day and the whole message aligned with this heart breaking even to its wonderful ending. Congratulations on your miracle.
I have absolute respect for the child's biological mother. She knew her daughter would go to a great home and get the love, attention, and care that she needed. She put her child first. She also chose life. That alone should be applauded.

The mother brought this child into the world and made a great choice to let her be adopted since she was unable to care for her. It’s a wonderful thing!
I agree it takes strength and also helps to have support from loving people
The look on Garrett’s face when he saw her is priceless
That's one lucky baby to have you as parents. You have truely saved her. The decision by the birth mother to have you adopt her was very brave. That has to be one of lifes hardest decisons to make and to have the child go to such a loving environment was truely an act of God and faith.
I hope this was an open adoption because the biological mother and family made the best choice they could make under their circumstances. The biological mother chose life and the Somers stepped up and gave her a protected loving home.
@@Nightfighter82 An open adoption is not always in the best interest of the biological family. Different things work best for everyone.
God knew exactly where this sweet baby needed to be in such a loving family 💕💕💕
Wait no name yet!!!! I can’t get enough of the vlog right now 😂
So proud of Garrett, Evelyn and Audrey. Welcome baby girl.
Congrats!! I was adopted at 6 weeks old. I can hear my mom when I listen to your story. My mom wrote something in a card to me. It said "I never carried you under my heart but always in my heart" I am so happy for you guys.
But you were under her heart! You were closer to her heart than anyone on the outside of it. You were next to it and heard every beat of it. ♥️
@@KarisGoogle thank you for your kind words. She passed away 4 years ago and I miss her so much.
@@wandamcanany4399 You’re welcome and I’m sorry to hear that.
God bless you ♥️🙏🏻💪🏻
I’m sure that’s painful. One day at a time ❤️🩹♥️
I just started following your channel a week or so ago.
So beautifully said❣
Congratulations!!! I too, am an adoptive parent. An absolute miracle, and an answer to much prayer! God Bless You!!! ❤
I just added the birth mother to my prayer journal. I am so glad that God blessed this little girl.
I have no words but i can say thank you and God bless you all.
Now we need a name!!! Baby Somers is just beautiful! God bless each and every one of y'all! ♥♥♥
I know can’t help it want to know
When, when,when, a name? 👶
Definitely praying for the mother who loved this girl so much that she made the best decision for the baby. True love.
I cry the same way as your oldest daughter every time i see a brand newborn... I love her tender soft heart!!!
Praying for the birth Mom and so thankful your family was chosen to cherish this sweet baby girl!❤🙏
There goes your GMA she passed over to go get her ready for your family. What a gift!😇👼👼👼
I thought the same thing. I hope the birth mother is showered in love, support and her grieving is replaced with a peaceful heart for her choice of families. It took courage.
I'm wondering if baby girl will be named after the gma.
Praise our Lord Jesus Christ 🙌 We serve an awesome God!!! He still in the business of miracles 💜. Can’t wait to see baby girl grow and flourish in your family. Just amazing!!!
I know this is unsolicited... but I can see her named Amanda which means "worthy of love". 💗💗💗
Prayers for the birth Mother for putting her babies needs first. She's a beautiful baby and you guys got me all emotional.
Praise God from whom ALL blessings come. Prayers for birth mumma & family. God bless you on this journey x
I’m in tears 😢❤❤❤

GOD IS GOOD 🙏💞💕💖💫
It always amazes me how God places people in our lives when they need to be. She needed your family and God sent you all. What a blessing for her ❤

When y’all were leaving the message for her, I started tearing up. I can feel the love your family has for each other through the screen. Beautiful parents. Congratulations on your new little blessing! ❤️

This baby from the moment she got in to your arms and home must have felt so much warmth and love. Something she will feel the rest of her life. And something her body and subconsious will always remember.
Mr. Somers 🇺🇸 that message was beautiful. On a lighter note…..get ready for CHRISTMAS ! So excited for the December with you guys!
Praying for the birth mom, that God holds her tight.
She is adorable...Just throwing "Grace" out there for a name if you haven't picked one yet. Sending love and prayers to her birth Momma...💖🙏
Or Faith.
I like the name Grace as well. Good choice 👍🏻
I like the name Glori ❤

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
Proverbs 16:9
This verse came to mind as i’m watching this. It doesn’t matter the timing, When God says YES, it doesnt matter whether you take 2 steps or a thousand steps, if He allows, the blessing is yours! Praise God! Baby is soo adorable! ❤️
Love from Kenosha, Wisconsin
A perfect verse for this week!
The bio Mom was probably so relieved that her child was going to a family her family knows. She can watch her grow from a distance and her bio extended family doesn't have to say goodbye forever. ❤️❤️
Once again, in tears. Prayers for her birthmother. Sometimes God just reaches down and does what is needed. Your family has been blessed.
She now 16, and has brought such joy to the family💛
Bless you guys!!!
Adoption is so beautiful. I was adopted at 8 weeks old but I also have a daughter out there somewhere that I'm looking for because of a horrific time in my life,I placed her for Adoption. I can't think of a better family for this Lil girl to go to then yours. Did I miss her name?? Peace, love and lots of blessings to all of you
My two youngest nieces are from China. 🙂
@@laurasmart2407 I hope you find your daughter someday and have a relationship with her.
Congratulations ❤❤ I can’t even write this without crying. I wish more people would do this instead of going the other route. Life is precious and beautiful and a miracle of God.
God bless you and your wonderful family.🙏✨ Lucky little girl..🥹
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🍼❤❤❤❤❤❤ God's blessings on your beautiful family !!
I've NEVER clicked on a video so fast! HOWDY Y'all from TEXAS🥰 Warm Hugs Somers and Happy Peoples!!!
You guys are such amazing people! What a blessing! She’s the luckiest little girl in the world to have such amazing people in her life.
This warms my heart. In a crazy world, we need more people like your family.
GOD SED YOU WILL BE THE ONES,,,,FOR THE BABY,,,AMEN,,,,,
Just wanted to say you guys are amazing 👏 ❤️ love from Belfast northern ireland ❤️
This baby girl is very blessed to be part of your wonderful family.
You both have been prepared and anointed for such a time as this. You are both a Godsend. Glad your sister flew in to help. You both have not stopped being parents. You’ll just continue to do what you’ve already been doing. Raising now four children to be responsible adults who add to this society. And you have the help to do it. Godspeed 🙏🏽
The baby is so cute, a gift from God
As someone who was adopted i can not express how lucky your new bundle is to have such an amazing, God blessed family as you all are. My prayers are being sent to the birth mother, may she live happily knowing that her daughter is in the care of amazing wonderful family. 💜🤎💙
Look at God! his hands are all over this. Prayers for this little cutie's birth mom!!
Covering you all in prayer, both families. My heart is so full watching this.
We went to a baby shower and we left our phone number with a friend. The next morning she called and said I want you to have my baby. He’s now almost 7, the twinkle in his Granny’s eye and my daughters heart and soul. God is good.
Oh Audrey's emotions are so sweet 🥰
Okay making me cry at midnight!! 😢 God Bless her Birthmom and your whole family. You are all deserving of this 🙏🏻🙏🏻💖
Both of my children are adopted. My son was 12 days old. My daughter was 10 days old. They are now 34 and 30. What a blessing. Enjoy!
Couldn't have happened to a more deserving family. God Bless y'all for opening your arms to this sweet baby girl
