Just completed my fridge replacement. Used the TF65, and added 200 watts of solar to the roof to power it. Your video was awesome. Thank you for sharing!
Perfect timing. I was considering the TF65 but info regarding installing onto EVC's was a bit scarce. This video helps fill the knowledge gap. Thanks for posting!
Did your fridge come with any wiring instructions ? I'm looking for power connections (right, at least + - 12 VDC ??) and can't find anything on the TF49. Hmm, I like the idea of keeping it up off the floor for air flow.
Great video! It looks like you bypassed the AC plug in and went with DC only. Is that correct? I would like to utilize the AC for when plugged into shore power or a generator and DC for when AC is not available. There seems to be no switching mechanism on the Truckfridge to accomplish this. How did you bypass the fridge light? That seems like a great move to allow you to leave the door open while the van is stored to keep mold at bay. Sorry for all the questions.
@@kevinbassplayer OK thanks! I have watched it a few times and I am going to be trying this.... About how big is the little cabinet you have next to the fridge? I just get a bit nervous about doing this kind of stuff!!! But not going to let that stop me ;)
@@kevinbassplayer Thanks so much for answering! I think I have a great start on the project - last question - how did you attach the plywood to the floor? Thanks :)
@@julielorentzon7993 since the floor is wood you can just use short wood screws directly into the floor. I used 1/2 plywood on top of the floor and used 3/4" exterior wood screws for everything.
Hi! I know it’s been a while since you posted this video, but did you have any struggles getting the old fridge to come out? I disconnected the flu and the gas line but it just does not wanna come out. It almost feels like it’s hung up on the bottom somewhere but I can’t find any screws anywhere that are holding in place.

Yes I went DC only but you can get a AC/DC Truckfridge. I put a switch in between the ground and fridge.
Looking at the sides, did you just 1X2? and for the bottom piece it is sitting on? I was hoping for some dimensions on that stuff :) Thanks!!!
Yes all made with 1x2. I don't have any dimensions as I made it up as I went along!

@@julielorentzon7993 Again, sorry but I basically made everything as I went so don't really have any size specs.
