Excellent review. We've narrowed it down to the SEL Escape, or the Forester Sport. Rav4 just a little too pricey. Your video helps us decide.
    Thanks

Great review! I love the “conversational” style reviews more than the salesy or professional style ones. So, I liked the driving portion of your review. Bit more than the latter salesy portion. But, I recognize why you have to do that.
I especially liked the list of the safety features. I feel most reviews tend to skip over that important area.
I agree with you about the interior and “the plastics.” For some reviewers, that bit seems to be the deal killer.
For my wife and I, the interior is totally acceptable. We rated cargo space, mpg, acceleration, ease of use of controls, safety features, and exterior appearance above “plastics.” For us, the SE Sport Hybrid was the model that hit our sweet spot.

We bought one last fall. My wife and I love it. One thing we are disappointed with Ford is the car came with a defect in the back lift door. The wiring harness came loose from the where it plug into the roof and would not stay plug in. Water can get in and damage the head lining. The dealer has been great but they are unable to get a new part. It has been four months and we are still waiting to get the part and no one can give us a date when the part will be available.

Wow, single zone auto AC on the SEL, I have the 2019 and have dual...obvious cost cutting there. Otherwise a nice redesign but hoping the downsize those headlights soon at the next refresh.

Agreed. Cost cutting all around. Nice little SUV but there are better ones out there. Thanks for watching
