    Crazy dangerous loose rock scramble. Yeah, " a little off course".

    • @Vo2maxProductions
      @Vo2maxProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      we actually pretty much nailed the SW ridge route (save for the section about 400' below the summit when we had to re-gain the ridge). There is no "trail" on this route and yes it is loose rock. I admit we probably should've worn helmets as there is considerable rockfall potential (a lot of people do wear helmets on this route). I'd also say 14ers.com rating of this was too low. I think it should be rated on par or as high as the Longs Peak "Loft Route" which I think was easier from a technical and exposure standpoint.

    Dude you're brave trying to work on a laptop in a moving vehicle. For me that is straight up car sick! 🤢
    Those opening shots of the vehicle was so cool was that insta360 on a stick? Also on the ridge line such a cool viewing experience!
    Don't sweat it, you're living the life you want to live. You get the freedom instead of the sure bet stability. There are pros and cons to everything, but I think you are sure you made the correct choice. I feel like I am missing out on the more digital nomad lifestyle. Living in the same area doing the 9-5 and not traveling much is such a grind mentally.
    From your awesome trip and your trip celebrating getting off the blood thinners you are doing so well!! Congratulations 🎉 you'll be back to racing soon! Awesome job on another 14er!

    Did Sneffels back in early August from the Blue Lakes trailhead! But no way we were going to take that ridge route. Someone had also died on it a few weeks before. Met a few people who had done the same as y'all! Gone up the ridge and went back down Yankee Boy. Good on you guys for sticking that out!

    • @Vo2maxProductions
      @Vo2maxProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends how you count them...54-58 is the number of 14ers in the state of CO. The last 12 are going to give me issues if I can't handle some class 4 with higher exposure and rotten rock (rock fall) risk.

    Just curious, if you could become the fastest man in the world and break every world record from 1500m to the marathon and every other distance between those just by eating red meat, poultry, or fish only one day every month, and you would stay that fast for another 30 years, would you do it? You would have to eat at least 1 pound of whatever meat, poultry, or fish you choose on each one day a month in order for that to happen.

    • @Vo2maxProductions
      @Vo2maxProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So I'd have to eat an entire pound in one day?...but only once a month? Yeah, of course. I'd be financially set with all those World Records and a 30-year career on top! And in the grand scheme of things only 1 lb a month (for one day a mont) isn't that much at all...I'd still be like 98% plant based.

    • @lichin11
      @lichin11 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vo2maxProductions So, this is totally meaningless, but would fish be the meat of choice? All the other meat-based options are so cute when they're alive (disclaimer: I am a guilt-ridden carnivore who is trying to gradually cut back, but I enjoy the taste of meat too much to quit).

    • @adamedunn
      @adamedunn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lichin11 I’m obviously not Sage but I stopped eating beef a couple years ago due to all the negative impacts i see from the beef industry and I recently had a steak, reason is not important, and I didn’t like the taste, not nearly as good as I remembered it. Thought that was a revelation

    • @Vo2maxProductions
      @Vo2maxProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me follow up to say that I'd actually eat lab-grown meat. Probably fish (but I don't really like the taste). Can be a good source of Omega 3s though. I'd be so wealthy from having all those world records for 30 years that I'd have the money to do it once a month!

    • @dj-fe4ck
      @dj-fe4ck 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am also 100% plant based and would definitely do it too if it made me that fast and for that much money. There are some people who would not eat any meat or fish for 1 billion dollars even if they only had to eat it a few times a year. That is really puzzling to me. If I had to eat 1 pound everyday than definitely not, but 1 pound a month would not be hard for me.
