- Another game under the lights. Tuesday night football this time Needham Market visiting. After two good, if not nervy victories. On paper this was the easier game. Though as we know football isn’t played on paper. When we visited Needham, it took a dubious penalty to win. This time, no dubious penalty . If anything we looked a little disjointed I felt, was that because Clunan was missing? Tiredness after the two previous fixtures? Needham making it difficult? Whatever the reasoning, main thing is we picked up 3 points. If you’d have said we’d have 9 points from the 3 games. I’d have snapped your hands off. Keeps us in contention while others will have to play catch up. Still plenty of games left to play, so lots can still happen. Praise to Butler and Schofield too. Theyve changed things around, so credit where its due.
Also credit to Needham though, I thought they slowed the game down whether intentional or not. Also the 21 fans - massive respect to them. Didn’t shut up the whole 98 mins 👏🏼👏🏼 Hope you all had a good trip back and good luck for the rest of the season 👍🏼
Now to enjoy a bit of time off, won’t be at Spalding due to work commitments. So

Who'd have thought that Scunthorpe Utd would be happy beating a Suffolk village team?
Any fan of any club outside the Premiership. This nearly happened to my team, and when we played Scunthorpe, their fans were magnificent. They might not always get the team they deserve, but their passion is amazing.
