Fun Fact: Long Haul was a fan design that they paid for to be able to use in the movies after discovering it. I think that’s why it stands out so much compared to most of the movie designs. Somebody with passion put that look together, rather than just doing it for a paycheck.
I liked how Bay’s designs looked alien, I love Travis Knight’s more G1 accurate looks but something about Barricade’s four eyes or the Dreads having their tires be their dreads.
Honestly gotta agree with Blackout. For w/e reason I just considered him my favourite. Had a really dope look. His weapon/s were cool as hell. Just in general, I liked him. Not to mention, the weird kinda cape/folded wings (?) thing his helicopter blades do is like icing on the cake.
honestly the main issue is the heads. If their faces and head designs (and their body color) looked more like their original designs, people would recognize the characters even if they have drastically different body shapes. The unique bodies are definitely a plus and are great, but not the weird heads.
The one thing I prefer about the live-action movie designs over the originals is how their body shapes and designs are much more diverse, whereas the originals are all mostly variations on the same basic layout. Like Starscream being an inverted triangle shape, Blackout being extremely top-heavy, Jetfire being all hunched over, stuff like that. It just feels a lot more like a humanoid robot that transforms into a machine rather than a guy wearing a robot costume.

I like how you barely discussed the all mighty ratchet. Such a good design being almost close to having an ugly face like ironhide but somehow working, having some of the coolest weapons, and having one of the most unique vehicle modes that's almost on the cringe level but works. But even him is not perfect, my problems with him are mostly the legs are just legs, with not that much kible, the tiny detail of the dark of the moon hood changing colors so basically no toy would be screen accurate cuz not even the movie is consistent, and the fact no once has ever been able to make a good transformable figure. Also the fact that it's almost a life mission to even try to make a replica of the ambulance and will probably be even tried to.

I like the design, but beyond that, I have a bit of nostolgia for him due to him being a playable character in the ROTF game (which was the shit for me) as well as he's like... a multiversal singularity? There was a point when the bayverse sideways took over alpha trion's AMA and he implies that every version of himself across different continuities is literally just him universe hopping. If I could make a request for future, I would love to see another teirlist on the game and extended universe characters. I like that we've strayed from the brief period in movie 4 and 5 of making transformers look like they don't transform. Like I personally dig the Knight look for the Dinobots but I feel it should've stayed just for the Dinobots. Odd thing is we see rotf Megatron with no cannon on his arm multiple times. Which means he can hide it away in his arm revealing his true hand, which is very similar to his left hand and is similar to his movie one hand. But sadly I don’t believe a single official toy has done that so far. Rip.

Unpopular opinion, but I like Revenge of the Fallen. At the time, it seemed to expand upon the Transformers' species without contradicting the rules set by the previous film. A robot could be distinguished by its family of alt-mode: Earth-form (Optimus), Alien-Modern (Megatron), Ancient (The Fallen), or Proto-form. There were more robot fights, more variants of transformers were introduced but they did not overstay their welcome (for the most part), designs kept the original style and anatomical consistency, transformers still had weight, and there were no scenes of Sam's mother uttering the "Happy Time" word. I recognize the flaws: Megatron's uncharacteristic role as a servant, reused shots, and plenty of Bay-isms to name a few. But, I think the level to which the movie is ragged on is undeserved.

Thank God for that Studio Series and Masterpiece designs). His chest is huge, his shoulders are broad, he's very intimidating, and even though he's such a swole Decepticon, you can see him doing all sorts of stunts in the movie, even Grindor does the same. I'm personally a G1 guy myself, even though I wasn't born during that era, but I really like the first movie designs. Hell, Arcee's prototype design (that never appeared in the movie because Michael Bay is a total dickhead) looked cool. Wreckage got a toy, unfortunately he did not appear in the movie (which sucks because his alt mode is also a military vehicle, maybe Brawl replaced him). Breakaway only had a toy and appeared in a game, probably the best Transformer that never appeared in the movie. Instead we got the two bumbling idiots Skids and Mudflap (people hate on them because of the whole racism thing, but coming from a multiethnic country, the translation made them less like racial stereotypes and more like really annoying douchebags that would just tear at eachother for no apparent reason). And it's sad because I believe Breakaway will never get enough spotlight for Hasbro to make a Studio Series out of him.
"Racial stereotypes" aside, i liked Skids design, the green bright color and the weird proportions are good imo. Even his icecream mode i think it looks cool. He should have been a single character instead of having a twin, just give him a proper voice and there, it's fixed. Mudflap on the other hand, yeah i don't care about him, i never liked his lips or his color compared to Skids, that one does look terrible. It's not a racist opinion, he's not a black dude, he's an alien robot with weird features that don't match.

Devcon actually transforms into a Russian missile launcher, specifically a MAZ-543/7310 artillery truck. So it is very much possible, they would just have to find a way to store the missiles or make them part of the transformation.

Kinda branching off on your Infernicus/dragon storm bit, but if we're talking like fighting them a game like souls or GoW, Infernicus would be your typical Goliath bossfight. Impressive design and imposing, but nothing we haven't seen before. If someone gave me an outrageous sounding rundown like "hey, there's a boss that's a three headed dragon that's completely made of knives, and you have to fight it alone" I'd look at them and say "WHAT?!" then ask how far in before I get to fight it. So to sum it up, I'd rather fight Dragonstorm over Infernicus.
I really dont like any of the movie transformers designs up until those g1 inspired designs from bumblebee appeared. They look like a bunch of scrap metal sculpted into vagally human forms that have extra pieces of scrap that don't really do nothing

"Racial stereotypes" aside, i liked Skids design, the green bright color and the weird proportions are good imo. Even his icecream mode i think it looks cool. He should have been a single character instead of having a twin, just give him a proper voice and there, it's fixed.
Mudflap on the other hand, yeah i don't care about him, i never liked his lips or his color compared to Skids, that one does look terrible. It's not a racist opinion, he's not a black dude, he's an alien robot with weird features that don't match.

The only reason people like Bumblebee movie Arcee is because she’s thicc but in my opinion don’t like it the pink and white does not work for me especially in live action that’s why I prefer her TFP design as for Bayverse I prefer the ROTF designs sure it’s not the best but its not really that bad either it suits Arcee again my opinion
Devcon actually transforms into a Russian missile launcher, specifically a MAZ-543/7310 artillery truck. So it is very much possible, they would just have to find a way to store the missiles or make them part of the transformation.

Kinda branching off on your Infernicus/dragon storm bit, but if we're talking like fighting them a game like souls or GoW, Infernicus would be your typical Goliath bossfight. Impressive design and imposing, but nothing we haven't seen before. If someone gave me an outrageous sounding rundown like "hey, there's a boss that's a three headed dragon that's completely made of knives, and you have to fight it alone" I'd look at them and say "WHAT?!" then ask how far in before I get to fight it.
So to sum it up, I'd rather fight Dragonstorm over Infernicus.

I really dont like any of the movie transformers designs up until those g1 inspired designs from bumblebee appeared. They look like a bunch of scrap metal sculpted into vagally human forms that have extra pieces of scrap that don't really do nothing
You should do one with the full G1 cast of transformers

@@Pigpen_YT you could so part one to three, for example season one and two then the third one can be everything else for example you can also put them into groups for example the Seekers would be all into one rather than individual since they all share the same body.
