- This question keeps coming back - what do I have to do improve my profile? Can I get into an IIM with a weak profile? Hopefully, this video will put the question to rest as I try to answer in depth.

berozgar since 2023 nov now i am aiming to give cat this year and i am confident that i will score 99 percentile
would any good college out of 30 would accept me beacuse 2026 admiision tak 3 saaal ka gap ho jayega ....
i also have 2nd option in my mind that is to get a job within 2 to 3 months and prepare along with it but not sure of more than 95 percentile max

you can.. as long as you get more than 99.75 percentile in CAT.. so aim for that bachhe..
but why only ABC?? Are KLI and new IIMs not good enough for you beta??

@@Hllo9320 according to me nobody (except for people already making 12 lpa in their jobs) should be targeting ABC specifically... as a student, your job is to study very very hard.. prepare well and then see where you reach... it's as simple as that... :)
Sir my tenth score is 71.6 percent and my 12th score is 68.00 percent (BIPC) both under The CBSE board and I am currently pursuing my final year of BBA and Right now my CGPA till 5th semester is 7.77 and I am from General Category and I have no work experience will I be able to get into IIM Visakhapatnam?
yes kiddo.. you can.. as long as you get a good CAT score, you can surely reach there or at an even better place..

you can get call from IIM C, K and L... if you score very very well in CAT beta.. so work hard and try..
How does one prepare for interviews and such?
Honestly, The exams don't scare me as much as the idea of interviews. My english is alright when I'm texting but when it comes to speaking I'm more anxious than I should be. I have no idea how to deal with it.
well.. beta.. start following current affairs now itself (it will help you varc as well) and start writing one article on some important current affair topic every week..
Send that article to your friends or someone else who writes well and take their feedback on it.. then edit it and rewrite it..
Just this will sort out 75% of your interview preparation..
Writing helps you build knowledge, construct arguments, use vocabulary, create good sentences and put things forth in a structured manner... if your writing is good (at the level of a professional writer writing for The Hindu), you will only have to stand in front of a mirror (or friend) and speak for a few minutes everyday and that's it.. things will be sorted..
So, for the time being.. focus on mastering writing... once that is done.. speaking can be mastered in a matter of 1-1.5 months..

well, why not beta... entirely depends on whether you are willing to work hard or not.. you surely can get into a good college if you get a good CAT score (95+, assuming you are a general non-engineer candidate)

as long as you score above 60%.. graduation score doesn't matter kiddo..
if the score is below 60, there will be questions on it in the interview room..
and if the score is below 50, you won't be allowed to appear for CAT..

@@nishaverma825 possible hai beta.. don't worry.. there are a few colleges where you simply can not go (IIM A,B,C,I and SPJIMR for example) but then there are many others where you can (some new and baby IIMs, private colleges like IMT, IMI, TAPMI, GIM and DU colleges like DSE to name a few).. all depends on what CAT score you can obtain.
So, don't worry and focus on CAT preparation wholeheartedly.
Please make a video on how to increase the comprehension level. While solving Rc I always understand my 2nd reading more than the first.
How to make my 2nd reading comprehension in the 1st reading itself?

I teach the same technique that Arun Sharma sir taught in his book or Captain Kalia has taught in his book.. just my way of teaching might be different.. but it's 80% similar to what they teach.. so, you can learn from them as welll..

Not from B or I beta.. but from the other 4 you can.. as long as you can get an excellent CAT score worthy of an old IIM..

yup yup beta.. you can.. but you will have to score very well at CAT.. 95 to laana padega minimum..
Also, it will be better to work on developing some other skills on the side (for placements and internship after MBA selection) otherwise your 10th/12th score will give you a disadvantage there..

Sir mera 10 score is 95.2%, 12 score is 96.2% but grads are going bad just getting 67% in 2 sems, would it make a good profile??
don't worry beta.. you have a good profile.. very good for that matter... in some interviews, you will be asked questions on your grad score.. but it's easy to defend that... when the time comes, and if you do not have anyone to guide you, you can ask me how to do it.. I will tell you..
Sir, IIM Jammu/bodhgaya/sirmaur vs XIMB-HRM for a fresher who is inclined towards HR?
for HR, it should be XIMB beta (its HR program is way above many IIMs).. but I will still enquire because the HRM program is offered by XUB now and I am not sure if things have changed now or not..

yes beta.. you can.. don't worry... focus on crossing the threshold of 95 percentile, I am absolutely sure you will get at least 6-7 calls..

A lot of people might tell you that you can't.. they will say your profile is bad.. don't listen to them.. I am telling you your profile is good enough to get into new or baby IIMs.. you need a good score though..
If someone else needs 92%ile to get into IIM Raipur, you need 95.. that's it.. but you can surely get into the college..

coaching 'here'.. What do you mean by 'here' beta?
See, I ask students to work on 1 subject dedicatedly (along with reading) till they take coaching, so that you don't have to work on all 3 sections simultaneously when the coaching starts..
I usually recommend that you work on LR and reading.. intensely.. so that you can wholeheartedly focus on Quants and DI later on.. and have a healthy reading habit by the time classes start..
6:22 sir, here by "year gap" does it mean a year gap taken by students to prepare for their graduation college entrance exams or the year gap from work taken by aspirants for their CAT or OMET exams preparation? Are both of these cases treated in the same way?

I know that cracking most government jobs is much much more difficult than getting into a good (top 40-50) b-school of the country..
Sir what if 10th n 12th score is good,90+, but grad score in engg is 6+. Very interested in IIM C as very interested in core finance. What is the chance?(general category)
IIM C actually gives low weightage to your background beta.. so focus on CAT score a lot..
IIM Indore is very good for finance as well.. and it provides a very heavy weightage to 10th/12th scores.. (don't worry about your college scores at all but be ready for a good grilling on the college subjects in the interview room)

gaps do not matter much.. personality does.. a lot..
hello sir this is my first video which i watched , such a good content you delivered thank you so much. my question is that my 10th score is 6 and 12th 7 and bsc phy pursuing and i am non engg or obc catagory in which top b school should not be focused pls reply....
beta.. in general I tell my students that they should not become college oriented.. your job is to get a good CAT score first and then see which all colleges give you call..
I have seen students hurting their own preparation in their hunt for colleges.. sometimes they set targets below them and sometimes way above them.. in each case they underperform.. so, for me, the best way to prepare is by not thinking about any college and just focusing on preparation..
