      Just one minor point. You mentioned divorce laws are outdated. I disagree. The laws are up-to-date and are constantly evolving due to new divorce case law that comes out every month. The problem with divorce involves a lot of lies, hidden money, fake valuations, fake mortgage capacities, low/middle income families, and ruthless divorce lawyers. The UK judges are biased towards the wife/mother to be on the safe side and consequently it is common for the husband/father to lose 70% of their net worth to the mother/kids. There's not enough money to go around for judges to give husband and wife 50 : 50 equally (as this could result in mothers/kids being made homeless). So wives/mothers get 70%. However, just to be clear, I think you were one of the most knowledgeable and balanced on the panel. I lost 70% in my divorce.

    If a woman or a man is withholding sex from your relationship cheating is never the answer. You can first try to find a Solution as to why he/she isn't giving you sex and if that dosent work you can then LEAVE the relationship/marriage. This whole "she made me cheat" is bullshit, you have other options and choices besides cheating.

    it is mindboggling how ppl will be against marriage bcuz other ppl's marriage fell apart. Every marriage/relationship is different. Plus we don't know what goes on inside someone's home, so you will never get the full picture. Anybody that is worth anything can find a quality spouse. Two ppl that are willing to make it work can be happily married. And making it work is not a trait specific to a particular gender.

    • @prayerjoseph9776
      @prayerjoseph9776 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have agreed, however when divorce is now so common, and not something that happens in extreme cases any longer you have to look at it and think that there is a common denominator. It's like a few people getting heart attacks compared to 50% of the population getting heart attacks. There is clearly something wrong in the latter case.
      It seems to me that women no longer have any stake in marital/intimate relationships, which is the biggest issue.

    • @jasonwhite6463
      @jasonwhite6463 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@prayerjoseph9776 To use your analogy obesity contributes to heart attack risk, so obese ppl having heart attacks should not come as a surprise. In the redpill space, men are not told to pursue a wife they are told to pursue women. Men pursuing women should not be surprised that the women they pursue are not wife material. Finding a wife is a specific and intentional process.

    • @prayerjoseph9776
      @prayerjoseph9776 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasonwhite6463 Exactly, obesity is a common denominator in heart attacks. If 50% of the population was suffering from heart attacks we would know it's probably because most of them are obese, we won't say every heart attack is different, we don't know what was going on in their lives, so we will never get the full picture. Yes, there is nuance, but if it's that common then there is obviously a pattern.
      You think the redpill is causing this?

    Of course marriage is a beautiful thing however it depends in what society and how one is raised. Think about it by nature we are designed to be married. Even without paperwork of a marriage certificate we naturally do what married couples would do. If you inner-stand how marriage actually works. There are different societies and cultures that #MakeItCommon for girls to reach certain ages to learn and prepare for womanhood and marriage. Likewise with boys at certain ages to learn of manhood and marriage. Western Society doesn't really teach these things as priority that's why it's all scattered hence why some people are anti-marriage they have seen it not work

  • @rachelsarmientotack

    Coming from a divorced family, I honestly didn't see the point in marriage either. Until I tried and tested a relationship with a person to its fullest capacity (knowing eachother for nearly a decade before even considering marriage, living together for 2 years, then living long distance for 2 years all while genuinely wanting to be bonded to the other through love and commitment) did I even think it was possible to be in a happily committed marriage.
    Not everyone has had that opportunity with someone who's both compatible and willing put forth the effort that relationships require. So I don't blame those who are still skeptical. I think that's fair. I know for a fact that a solid marrital level commited relationship makes life exponentially easier and more enjoyable than being alone. But I also know that being alone is far preferable to a long string of bad relationships with people who use and abuse you.

    Traditionally and biblically speaking, in marriage a wife belongs to the husband and the husband belongs to the wife. As a married man he can’t simply do whatever he wants and has responsibilities to see to, for example, provide, care for and look after his wife and children. A wife has the same responsibilities, but they’ll take a different form, she may not have to work a full time job to provide for the family but taking care of the home, the children and her husband is her full time job. If the wife is not satisfied with the husband’s care, thats a discussion that needs to happen, the same for the husband. And sex is part of the job for both.

    To be honest, if you don't have some sort of religion or spiritual reason behind the covenant then marriage is meaningless. The concept of marriage is bred out of religion. If you don't have some sort of faith practice, you need to view marriage as a merger of two separate entities becoming a wholly subsidized unit. Some marriages were solely for the purpose of merging 2 families to create an Empire. If you weren't placing subsidiary contracts to protect both parties so you would walk out as individuals, there is no point.
    I'm not saying that atheist can't get married, but I'm saying to an atheist that you are signing a legal obligation. Signing a contract with obvious bias towards one party [women] is just bad business. With nothing else to supplement the reason of marriage other than status quo, we see more failed family units reinforcing the divorce mentality. As the world becomes more secular, you also see the divorce rates increase. The factors of secularity and teaching offspring that divorce should be first choice has spurred a generational insanity loop. I believe this is why the question is even posed today.
    To a person who is religious or spiritual, this is a covenant between man and woman beyond the physical flesh. People of faith understand that disbanning would result in more repercussions than one. A big one is the concept of shame and self accountability. People look at that negatively, but this world without shame and accountability has become quite hedonistic. So let's bring back pointing at people and yelling SHAME! lmaoo
    Overall, as a spiritual person, I'm pro marriage. I completely understand the rationale of the anti marriage perspective, especially living in a world where faith in a higher power is becoming obsolete. In a world where men are deemed worthy only by what they can financially provide...it will behoove them to not marry. If they decide to get married, it will behoove them to properly vet the woman and make sure she's an actual proverb's wife, not a charlatan that'll take you for all you got when she can.

  • @mondesir3673
    @mondesir3673 ปีที่แล้ว

    I believe in the sacred of marriage.. I don't think the concept of marriage is the problem but instead the way we view it and society has become so selfish and marriage is a selfless act that one has to give 100 percent to. If you are not willing to become one with a person in purpose, goals, dreams, growth then don't get married. Marriage is hard and it takes a lot of work it's not a fairytale. My husband and I has been married for 13 years, we were both young 22 and 23, we have 2 little boys. Sometimes we disagree on things and we had struggled financially but at the end of the day we have the same goals and we are growing together. Life is so hard but it's good to find someone to go through it with.

I'm sorry, but Pearl is amazing and I appreciate her consistency because stability builds good societies

    What Pearl is saying that abusive relationships are mutual are completely false. Abuse is not mutual between two parties. Usually the person who hits back is just trying to defend themselves from their abusive partners but they will manipulate them into thinking it’s mutual.

    I'm a dumby I guess. I believe marriage is a partnership. It's two people working together and striving together to make a better life. Each playing their roles to make it work. Is that not a partnership?

    • @houseofhas9355
      @houseofhas9355 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The word partner is the problem. There are roles yes. But the language is taking away already existing titles. This new langauge, it's language that came about to make gay marriage more acceptable to society and any wife who call her husband a "partner" is belittle his title in her life. Partner is such a a cold word.
      Does it describe a business partner? Group project partner or husband?
      It's use for so many other things. MAJOIRTY of men don't like it. Just ask them. Women who say partner usually belittle or don't respect him or his leadership in the marriage. Usually those women control the relationship and the husband is what you see on TV. The idiot that is controlled by his controlling wive who is also a feminist & looks at male leadership as toxic and dangerous.

      @@houseofhas9355 I see your point now. I, personally, wasn't meaning it in a disrespectful way. I guess it's all perspective. I view the word partnership differently and have a different understanding of how a marriage works. My grandparents were married for 78 years, both have told me marriage was a partnership that requires hard work from both people in the relationship. And I can see and understand that.

      @@TomBoyChic79 you may see it that way. But times have changed. The way the word has been used in the last 20 years has been to disrespect men. A lot of men don't date girls because they use this word. Because it speaks to their viewpoint on men and marriage. It's a red flag for them. You are right about "partnership" in marriage and hard work together.
      But if men in your life or in the general public see it as an insult why keep using it. Use the word husband.
      Perception is the key word. Men will see you as the type of woman who is anti-man, stuck on activist virtual signaling, and has no respect for men let alone "husbands"
      Women like that do and say things that get them put in the," steer clear of" section in a straight men's mind.

      @@houseofhas9355 thank you for taking the time to give me understanding on this. It's hard being a good girl living in a bad girl world. The men I have met think I'm crazy for having my "old fashioned" view points and morals. And the women call me b@#$h or c%#t because I call BS on their stupid sh$t. It's hard understanding this erosion of society sometimes.

      @@TomBoyChic79 I think you can do well with speaking with men more directly to understand them better. Most men are open to talking to you when they realize your not a blue hair crazy woman.
      Isn't it weird that we have a kinda gender segregation in this society while claiming we don't. Where men and women don't really understand each other due to this invisible barrier of not listening to each other or listening but not understanding.
