This one really surprised me - actually, I think it is one of the best performances from this amazing night and Derek Trucks plays the guitar, as there is no day tomorrow - such a nice tribute to Jeff Beck :-).
Since this tribute is for Jeff Beck, the G.O.A.T. British guitarist, I wasn't expecting any guest guitarist with an Americana influence. Of course, I did anticipate Johnny Depp since he was so close to Mr. Beck & they were most recently on tour with their collaborative album "18" but despite being born in Kentucky, USA - Johnny seems more European to me. So... I was settled on listening to a fully British / EU show of Rock guitar Gods! ❤ Then Derek Trucks shows up followed by Susan Tedeschi... WOW!! 🤩 AMAZING talent! ❤ And, musically, they are as Americana as it gets. They are the essence of an American soul / blues group - The Tedeschi - Trucks Band. Keep in mind that Derek was a guitarist with The Allman Brothers Band, too. Much respect to ALL the musicians on this stage in TRIBUTE to Jeff Beck! And condolences to his family & friends & fans upon their sorrow over his death. ⚘🌿⚘ He will be missed by so many! ❤
Eric is known to have peripheral neuropathy. A nasty condition that brings pain in the legs and elsewhere. It's amazing he can stand and play as much as he does. You have to take breaks. Alcohol can bring it on or just the aging process. It sucks. I have it myself.
