Amazing the difference. I can't wait to see the full restoration. I'd have thought only a respray would get it looking that good. New back window and the lights are restored, and it'll be good as new
Wow, that's quite a shine you got there! I've just bought an MG TF but haven't cleaned it yet. I will enjoy cleaning it though as it's a small car, unlike my other massive hulk: VW T25.
Paintwork was dead rough, you done the best job possible by hand and is something any viewer should be able to achieve without a more expensive machine polisher.
Cheers Mick! That's high praise coming from you! 😎 I wouldn't mind getting into a bit of machine polishing at some stage too but only on a banger to practice on.
Fantastic work Ross, you are making me want to get a MGF again after my brief experience a couple of years ago with my Copperleaf/Nightcore Red one I won for £20! I wanted to like the car but I never did....
I use the full clay bar, fold it over every couple of minutes and flatten with a lump hammer (seriously). Set of buffing discs attached to a hand drill and compounded, then polished to finish. Viola.
They are great cars and will appreciate in value too, also really fun to drive.
Absolutely. Even the F is great fun and seriously underappreciated!

Yeah the camper is a pain to polish!

They are good fun, and I do really like them but I still prefer my B GT.

Yeah but then you only get one use out of the clay bar.
@@Endfloat The brand I use comes with a little storage box, splash of detailing liquid to keep it wet, use often.
Turned out well! Looks like an enjoyable little car to clean compared to bigger cars. Is the red on the top how they come as new?
That's particular to the anniversary edition, along with the red velour (said in my best Zapp brannigan voice) interior.
get an old banger and machine polish it
I'm thinking about it! 🤔
Shouldn't be black when compounding as it's clear coat on top of colour? Or is solid paint?
