This is the accounting class I was looking for in my 12th.
I've read this book about scarcity that says that if we have too many things to worry about ie., scarcity of mental bandwidth, we lose out on the important things in life. If we automate investments, make initial efforts such that you don't have to think about money too often, we get more time to focus on improving ourselves (other sources of income, better health, higher learnings etc).

Loved the take on emergency funds, very strong points in terms of size calculation. Very few creators are able to explain a not-so-common topic with such a simple example. Thank you for also pointing out the importance of Insurance and Emergency Funds 💪

if you spend 3.29%in elss then you earn 3.79 lacs per month :D

Elss tax saving comes under 80c, and we can only save 1.5L in it. 45L of 3.79% is 1.5L
=(150000/12)/3.29% = ~3.8 lacs

There are many people who just don't invest as they feel pointless investing a small amount of money. I personally have a lot of friends who just don't invest for the same reason
Start a large cap sip, get some skin in the game. The amount doesn't matter, you'll develop interest in the market and find your way.
Well you always start small…
Once you have a decent income stream, its always wise to start investing because compounding is more about time and not that much about the amount!

Also... the great thing about Google sheets is that you can pin a specific sheet on you homescreen(of a mobile phone). That makes it way easier to access and the daunt of opening the spreadsheet just vanishes.

Assuming that he maximizes his ELSS, we can calculate his income. So 1% would be around 50k which means he earns 5OL per year. At 24!! Insane!

This is just a calculation. As he said, he is a freelancer. A freelancer has a good month and then a bad month, unless he has a regular customer base.
@@wrathof-zeus5223 max you can put into ELSS is 2L per year and I'm sure he utilizes it fully. So if 3.87%=2L, then roughly 100%=51L. Simple maths

Incase of an insurance payout. You have bulk money how would you invest it?
Curious to know the rationale of investing such large % in crypto. Isn't it like gold that has no intrinsic value but gets value because of globally shared belief that it provides some value? But gold is ingrained in human society's value perception for hundreds of years. Currencies is the same. But we have sovereigns states guaranteeing value proposition of these currencies. How are you comfortable in the crypto currencies whose value is not guaranteed by any governments neither it is like gold that is ingrained in human psyche?

I have purchased growth stocks too a little at a time over the past few weeks. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out, adding more at a time. You might think that the govt gives a s*it about your financial but that's one of the biggest lies ever told.
Most people live non-average lives as a result of wrong decisions and poor planning. I think people who suffer are the ones who don't think about their future and don't invest. Investing has really saved many lives and got people off the streets.

It is very tough to double small amount of money. Turning a 1000 into 2000 is harder than turning a crore into 2 crore. It's one of the reasons poor remain poor and the rich gets richer
