Ironically... I subscribe to you... I saw the thumbnail and though.. cool... Then the video started and I thought... Nice! Its Laura BC!! Beautiful work! For many years friends and family would ask me how they could become better photographers. They would say the same thing about... "oh you had a great model", "That was a great location". So I gave them a simple exercise. I told them they needed to take photos of the doorknobs in their house/apartment. Shoot different angles, distances and or lighting. I asked them for 100 photos. The balked at first but.. those who followed through learned a lot. They learned a lot by taking photos of doorknobs.... haha!

Very beautifully done ...i can only imagine the effort took effort it would have take to try different setup, angles, lighting combinations, and last but not the least the post processing. While I have been woken up to the possibility of having a mist filter ...do you think it is really required for still photography? ...can it not be easily replicated in post ? Appreciate if you could share your thoughts.

Laura, I wonder if you're using the sony imaging app or a remote shutter or some other method for taking self portraits with Sony? I find Sony to be a little challenging to do a self portrait shoot with because I find the autofocus to miss in self portraits. I would love to see a little bit of the process of you posing and clicking the shutter and reviewing your image.

Hi Laura.. I love your videos. Quick question. How to get the focus so sharp when taking a self portrait. I often focus first with my remote and then use it to take the photo. However, having to hold the remote limits the poses I can do since I can’t show the hand that the remote is in. Do you have a video that talks about how you take your self portraits, specifically regarding focus and how to activate the shutter?

How much power flash would be enough to shoot outdoors? I would want to take this flash with me easily and during travelling. What are your suggestions for flash and flash power? Independent strobe light or camera mounted speed light?
Plenty of videos about this on my channel. 🥰 You can use a remote shutter or you can use the App of your camera brand in your phone. This way you can frame yourself and shoot from your phone. 😍
You can spend thousands on photography lighting, only to be blown away by someone who looks stunning just in the bathroom mirror. Just shows it's not about the equipment!
