Sony just announced their dual sense edge. I came here to check out the competition. I really thought this would be the better option because the edge controller only has 2 rear buttons and not 4. However, after hearing that you can't change the triggers back and forth that is a huge deal breaker for something this expensive. That sucks because it seems like it's a good product.

Well, I have had my SCUF PS5 controller (Reflex Pro) for about two months now, and I can honestly say that it was an amazing controller from the beginning, but that changed quite rapidly as some of the things started to break down. I play about 4 hours of Ranked Play a day, so I play quite a lot, but despite probably using the controller for 200 hours, I would've expected it to last longer. First of all, don't go for anything but the regular touchpad. My touchpad thinks I am touching it all the time and it's impossible to write a message to anybody if you wish to do so with this controller if you buy one with a custom touchpad. Then there's the D-PAD which has stickdrift like the thumbsticks. I bought two regular Dualsense controllers from launch and both of these work perfectly fine to this day, and I have played more than 500 hours with each controller. My SCUF controller, however, already has stickdrift on the left one which means I can only strafe to the right in gunfights which is painfully obvious when you play Ranked Play in Masters Division in COD. I would say though that the paddles work perfectly fine, and they are probably some of the best paddles I've ever used. Snappy and just right, but the problems with the thumbsticks, D-PAD and touchpad just doesn't make it worth it to me. It was perfect from the beginning, but now I have ended up buying a extremeRate RISE 4 Kit that is significantly cheaper and (haven't gotten it yet) will probably do the job just as fine despite not looking as neat as the SCUF Reflex Pro

@@Ty_Maliek Great, I can only recommend it. It doesn't look as neat as the SCUF and you would have to do some technical stuff taking an hour to a couple of hours depending on how good you are putting it all together. But yeah all in all, SCUF is the better controller from the get-go, but it won't last as long and if it happens to break you cannot easily fix it yourself. With RISE 4 you can always just buy new replacements parts whether that be the paddles or the controller itself :)

I’m leaving this comment here Bec I’ve been using this exact controller for about a year. On the surface it’s the best controller I’ve ever owned. High quality and havnt had any stick drift. That being said, the paddles seem surprisingly firm and almost hard to press in, to the point where it messes up my aim in Call of Duty while dropshottng/jumping. Bec of this I use my custom modded controller that I built using a $30 kit off of Amazon more often. Good controller, but would recommend other options for a cheaper price.

All of the 3 scuf controllers ive had over the last few console generations have developed problems when the 6 month warranty has just expired. This time i went with the AimController, for ps5 which has been a champion. Still looks and performs like its brand new despite being 18 months old. I get tempted to buy a scuf now and then, but every time i think it will just break like the others so don't bother. Although I hear their build quality has improved since the were acquired

I've had a few of scufs customers recently, the back paddle system makes the PS5 controller bigger than what it is, my friend and me designed an ergonomic paddle system similar to aim controller's, which we call the spider paddle system. Scuf can do better, being that they are the leading third party custom controller company for paddles. I offer a one year warranty.

When something is called a 'pro' controller, most of the time it means that they have a grip/texture applied to them as well as back buttons that nobody actually make use of them. And the fact that the buttons are blank doesn't give them an edge. The choice to turn the triggers into buttons is actually cool.

Good review as always dude. I agree with your review. I’ve had a Scuf Reflex non FPS since Jan/Feb time and I can say my game on Warzone has improved. However, and I will only give it one substantial negative so far being that the 6 month warranty doesn’t fill me with confidence. Also my controller is creaking slightly already. It was £230…. I would personally say these are overpriced currently IMO. £150 or so would be more fair. Other than that I do like the way it performs. I couldn’t fit my Kontrolfreeks thumb sticks to the thumb sticks the Reflex comes with also, do you know if it’s possible? I looked on the Scuf website recently but all I can see is their own to no surprise.

I ordered one a little over a month ago. Definitely worth the money. Yet warranty does concern me but hopefully it all works out. I tend to take care of my stuff. Maybe I need to mess with it more because I can’t put mine on the charger stand. It’s like the paddles are in the way.

I've never owned a scuff and wanted one of these, but after reviews and everything I'm gonna wait till they do some updates and improvements (if they do) they also aren't very old, so I want to see how long they last. 3 of my ps5 controllers are already about done and I've only had it like 9 months.

I have an aim and just got a
Scuff. The aim has no drift after 5/6 months of use. The scuff had up drift on the aiming stock out the box. Then had to rebill me tax on both orders I placed with scuff. Wtf kind of company doesn’t charge you twice on two separate orders 30 days later. If I was management at scuff I’d be concerned. Wtf are they doing.

5:43 - Soon as i saw those little black buttons for the back paddles I am put off any Scuf controller. Way too many issues when i bought one for the PS4. Stick drift within first 2 weeks of owning it, sent off for multiple repairs for stick drift and paddle buttons braking. They never stood a chance against the Astro C40. Maybe the reason Sony are up their own arse on haptic feedback to block the C40 from PS5 games. Astro did these controllers better by a long stretch!
