Tokyo Drift is the best one to me actually. Pure car action like us enthusiasts want. Anyway, Paul Walker was supposed to be the main guy but he declined to do F&F after the second installment. Vin Diesel was busy doing other movies and that led to the spin-off being Tokyo Drift. Paul Walker would've never returned had Vin Diesel not convinced him to return. So with that spin-off and Vin being at the end of Tokyo Drift, they had no choice but to tell the events the led up to Vince ending up in Tokyo. It all makes sense.
