I know I said I preferred wooden needles in a comment on another video, but I have since tried these Knitters Pride (KnitPro in the U.K.) mindful collection needles, and I’ve got to say I am a convert to stainless steel, these are the best and pointiest needles I’ve ever used. I don’t think I’m ever going to use any other needle but these from now on! I love the swivel cords, and just everything about this collection!
I bought a pair of circular mindful lace needles and have found them to be the very best needles I’ve ever used! With the lace needles, I never have split yarns and can purl through the back loop with no trouble. Love these needles!
I love knitters pride in general. I particularly like the interchangeable ones for a few reasons. I love it that if I have several WIPS going at once (and who doesn't), I can remove the needles to use on another project and I put the stoppers on the cord so I'll never drop stitches while tossing in its project bag. Another thing is that I like is that this company has these round tags embossed with a needle size so you can slip that size tag on the cord before putting the stoppers on so that when you return to your project, you'll never have to struggle to remember what size needle you were using when you last worked on that project!!! That's been a game changer for me. I used to think i could remember what size i was using.....I never could. Nothing is worse than knitting for hours only to notice that you were using the wrong size all along. This size tags were included with some of the older sets but I'm sure they can be ordered separately and wouldn't cost much. I love a 4 inch "shortie" set that allows me to put a shorter 8 inch cord, bought separately on Amazon so I'd have a 16 inch for hats. Knitters pride makes every cord size imaginable! The slick Nova Platina finish has held up for years and cord joins are smooth. The tips are sharp enough for lace work as well. Good products all around. The only fault i experienced is that my older cords have a retained memory which I'm not wild about but I see they've fixed that issue. I'm getting me some of them new swivel cords that don't kink and twist!!!! Sorry comment so long. I just love their products.

I am not into metal needles, but if I were, these would probably be my go-to. I am considering getting a few of the sock knitting sizes. I bought a bunch of the swivel cords to use with my Knit Pics square wooden needles. The cords are so nice, especially for magic loop. Thanks for the review.

Just got the "Believe" set and was in love from the very first stitch! I will be buying the FULL set in January; they're stunning and I believe they make knitting Stephen West patterns so much easier!

Glad the video was helpful! I think the Warmth set is a good set of needles. It may take a little getting used to if you are not used to shorter-tipped needles, but it can be good to hold and control the needles more with the fingertips rather than gripping the needle shaft tightly with the whole hand. Grasping and controlling needle movement mainly with the fingers / fingertips allows for more precise, gentle control, which can be less tiring for the hands. That is the main difference between regular-length needle tips and shorter needle tips - you control the movement of shorter needles more with fingertips rather than a full-hand grasp. Hi Dana! Yes, the connection is smooth, and allows the stitches to glide over smoothly. The sizes are marked in a way that is not painted on, but still leaves the metal totally smooth, with no texture to it. So I don't know what the correct term for this type of marking is, but it is permanent and does not leave any texture on the surface for the yarn to rub against, like engraving would. I hope this helps!

Hi. I don't think I have any Addi rockets yet, but I think the Mindful Collection needles are slicker than the other steel needles I have tested, including Chiaogoo and Knitter's Pride Nova Platina. If I have opportunity to test them against the Addi rockets, I'll let you know how they compare.

Why I shy away from interchangeable is because in the past I have had them disconnect at the join so you had to frequently check to make sure the join stays tight, what is your experience with this problem.
Hi Barbara! If your needles are disconnecting from the cords, it's because they need to be tightened with the cord key, not just tightened with your fingers alone. At about 37:09 in the video, I show how to do this. When you tighten with the cord key, you don't have to worry about the needle tips coming detached from the cords while you knit. I hope this helps!

I use the pin to tighten, but still have the needles loosen over time. I think the swivel feature may help.
