    This episode of my Walking the Camino de Santiago series covers the section of the walk from Porto to Ponte de Lima. This is a 100km walk and takes on average 3 to 4 days. This video is jam-packed with information on places to stay, hidden gems of swim pools, locations of donation only hostels, information on towns like Ponte de Lima and so much more.
    If you have any questions please leave them in the comments section and I'll get back to you with an answer ASAP.

    Found your videos as I’m seriously thinking about doing this route in the summer (2022) this year, probably August into September. I’m 60 in May and planning to step right outside my comfort zone this year by doing the full route from Lisbon like you. You are very inspiring! Probably most anxious about the heat and finding somewhat stay each night but hey, what’s the worst that can happen? 😅

      Hi Graham, do it, do it, do it.
      August will be hot so I recommend waiting until September. There's no shortage of hostels and Airbnbs along the way, you'll always have somewhere to lay your head. You can also pre-book every night before you even get on a flight. There are companies who can take all of the headache out of that for you can afford to pay. If you do it all yourself it will be cheaper. The decision is yours but either way, just get out and walk! 😁

    Morning from Sydney, three of us walking from Oporto to Santiago, I have read to catch a taxi out of Oporto as the traffic is nuts. What do you recommend. Love your work Geraldine

      Hi Daryl, thanks for getting in touch. You can either take a taxi or a local train out a stop or 2 just to get you out of the city centre.

    Hej. Have question, did you skip a part tomara to porto? Otherwise, thank you for super fantastik video of your camino. Im planing do camino portugués, but seems it’s more better start in Porto.

      I didn't skip and sections, I walked through Tomar and even stopped at Fatima to visit the sights but I did loose some footage along the Way.

    Or would you still suggest start in Lisbon? 😅

    • @GeraldineOCallaghan
      @GeraldineOCallaghan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends how much time you have to dedicate to your trip. If you have a full month you can start in Lisbon but if you have less time then it's necessary to start closer to Santiago.

      Hi Dawn, I recommend walking in Spring or Autumn, even June is ok but try to avoid July and August ❤️
